Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

[] Put Ziz back in the box

- ...and also give her a walkie talkie and a DVD player?

[X] Keep Ziz on a short leash

Throwing her in a cage just for a maybe sounds cruel and I doubt it will really do anything in the end if she wants to escape, keeping her in a short leash would be a compromise so she doesn't run around and she won't be stuck in a box

[X] Keep Ziz on a short leash

Of course, would anyone choose otherwise? It's the option that brings shenanigans, interesting stuff.

Plus, it would be a waste of Tim's time and efforts to just put her in a box. He built a whole device to free her, after all.

[X] Keep Ziz on a short leash

My curiosity on what she wants to show us and the shenanigans to unfold will probably get us killed in time but if so it just means we got 8 more lives!

"Phantasm, too," you agree. "She's the cape who gave me that look at that other dimension."
"Both of them could be capable of doing so,"

Yaaasss, unsurprising vindication!!! I knew we needed to Befriend them!

«I understand your doubts, but that last part makes perfect sense. Her drive and rules were hard-coded into her.
"If I might interject?" You glance back down at the angelic fairy. "I can show you something that will convince the Protectorate, in particular the Triumvirate, to take your words at face value."

My canon knowledge is pretty fuzzy, but I would've thought Dragon (with all she does to maintain the PRT/Birdcage/etc systems) would be aware of Cauldron, or at least Alexandria/Costa-Brown's greater spooksy knowledge as her contact point.

More importantly though, considering the way it impacted trust of her, it seems odd that Simurgh wouldn't make even an indirect reference to how the Triumverate could confirm her first bit? Is she actually unaware of them (I think Alexandria is something of a blind-spot, because her shard runs her processing?) because of extra-dimensional location? She did know about Zion's death after all, but with the comment about her getting activated didn't appear to know about Case 53's and the use of vials?? (Even if she can't see the trigger-moment of them being drank, you'd think she'd notice things like Accord selling them or Gallant's rich daddy arranging to get him one).

-[] Make plans to inform the TSAB about this unexpected development
--[] At minimum, the news about a larger species of dimensional travelers field-testing weaponized Rare Skills
--[] Ask the more experienced group if they have any advice on informing military/civilian superiors you accidentally Befriended a dangerous Lost Logia
-[] Make plans, for after TSAB talk, to contact Alexandria about this development
--[] Broach topic by implying a discovered cache of information and key details, before mentioning source and circumstances

@Silently Watches , is this sort of extra vote okay? Its clearly stuff we'd need to spend slots, possibly Social?, on later so I tried to phrase it as "planning" for that reason.

Shaseyu has a point that the TSAB has a better idea on how to handle situations like this, which they'd mentioned re: Immortal Assimilation Engine when we were first in their custody. Part of that was implying to Taylor that such Constructs tend to behave better if befriended and go berzerk and escape when contained :p
(What will IAE/Perfect Storm say about us boxing the Simurgh? A reaction like Dragon's or worse?)

Talking to the TSAB seems a good idea in any case..... because technically the Simurgh just confirmed that the Endbringers are "military research and development field-test" artificial constructs, created by a dimension-traveling alien species. Just because its not Belkan/Galean/Al-Hazrad, to their perspective this is literal proof that these are Lost Logia by the strictest definition a review board might apply. Even if we didn't care about passing a warning to the Admiral, it should still have an interesting impact on their cooperation with us.

Also we need an eventual interlude (or OMAKE?! Imagine the Exotic Physics inspiration points!) of Tim and Dragon being domestic in the lab while Simurgh-fairy is trapped in a roofed baby-playpen, but her using telekinesis anyways to halp collaborate on their project.
I might just need to find a commission-artist at least...

For the comment that only reason she helps is because she would be bored with humanity being extinct. Nope, no freedom for you winged menace.

Honestly, that comment makes me like her more. She doesn't have any reason to actually care about humanity, so why should we expect her to care about killing us? Genuinely alien AI is genuinely alien.

I'm really happy that we spent so much time freeing her.

Tho if she figures us out and models us correctly, she'll probably get bored again...
Unless we manage to bring more chaos and curious elements into the system.
Actually, getting access to the wider universe, that would peak her curiosity. I'm sure. All those different civilizations...

You honestly expected this to be a contentious vote? People love Magical Girl Ziz-Chan.

Ziz actually smiles. "Similar indeed. It is for this reason I advise the use of this compound. Since it will induce hallucinations, you could use it to muddy the waters, so to speak. It will not remove the triggers, but it will cause enough other subliminal connections that if the trigger did activate it would be highly unlikely to cause them to act out."

A nod, and Dragon pulls up a screen to look up some columns of numbers. "What are we looking at in terms of dosage if we go through with this?"

"Depending on the intensity of the hallucinations and treatment once per day," Ziz shrugs, "a few days to two weeks? I can not give a more specific answer without more information."
Ohh, we're going to have a Fun TimeTM trying to convince numerous governmental bodies on different levels that the best way to defuse millions of potential ZizBombs is to have them tasting sounds and colors for 2 weeks.

Drugs are fantastic.

As for the choices at the end...
Now that your questions have been answered, it's time to make a decision. And can we not make this another Tattletale fiasco, please?

I do not want to see her backup plan for "become a Unison, but still didn't get what she wanted".
And this is why Ziz-related votes always seem meh to participate in imo. If we box up Ziz, we piss off both Dragon and Ziz, likely falling into another of her plans. If we keep her out of the box and let Dragon supervise her, we are falling into her current plan. =\ No real choice here.
