Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

Talk about his memories: How was Galea? How a war started? What are the last things you remember?
What specific war are you talking about? The Warring Ages consisted of several simultaneous wars that turned into one big mess.
I don't see how Lacey will participate in any way that a Guardian Beast capable of healing (is there one? I forget classes) couldn't do
There is a Guardian Beast (the Tome) that can heal, but the Infinite Enhancement template can heal more severe injuries.
Unison Dragon (tinkerbell)
I'll be honest, this was the first pseudonym that crossed my mind. :)
I don't see any plan votes here, just main activity votes with subvotes.
It's because the second rule states that the vote for events has to be exactly the same wording as the original vote or it won't be counted. Our votes have the votes as just the shorthand titles.
I'm fine with shorthand votes like are being used, and those I combine with the full vote. Technically it is still copy-and-paste, just not of the whole thing. Rule #2 was created in response to people changing the original description so it contained information that should have been a subvote (or several).

I really hope we can social the Adepts because just ignoring them is a dumb idea. There's linker core people right there that we can recruit.

The war (wars?) with Belkans, I suppose, in which Calamity Witch became famous.

How much Taylor even know about the Warring Ages?
If not much, she can just ask PS about 'a war', and then PS will ask "Which war? Since my activation Galea fighted four wars with Belka, three war with <Other Guys>, one war with <Other Other Guys>, was constantly raided by <Even More Other Guys> and there also was-" and Taylor will be all ":o Hooooooooly shit!"

I feel like bringing Vista is almost antagonistic to the Protectorate politically speaking. Its us saying we know better than then whats best for one of their junior members. Now if we somehow managed to get Vista to quit the Warda and to indie with us it might make more sense, but the fallout of that would likely be even worse considering her current situation. So basically im saying its a stupid idea but im totally down to call her before and after and keep her in the loop but blatantly going against the Protectorate is asking for trouble.

[X] Social – Lacey
-[X] Inquire if she is still willing to consider becoming a mage.

My reasoning for Lacey: At the current time, she's effectively lost a longtime friend (Danny), her marriage and worldview is falling apart due to Kurt's stubborn idiocy, she thought she lost us when our apartment complex got transmuted into amber, etc. She needs something to focus her mind on, and perhaps being able to better act on her promise to Danny ("Look after Taylor") might be good for her.

As much as I'd love taking Dragon as our plus one to the tickets to gangland thing, I don't think that it would mean as much to her as it would to Vista. Dragon is already used to being included in things, and this isn't a major, national level thing. She's already got her own things to be working on at the moment, too, with figuring out how to get everything set up with her new body, tweaking AIs to run the birdcage and Endbringer fights and such... But Vista lives here now. She fights here. And she's got more experience under her belt than some of the full heroes who run around, given how young she was when she started. Vista needs to be allowed to be more involved in the important stuff so she can show that fact off to people, and be taken seriously enough to be treated as a competent hero (with a tinker-tech arm now!) rather than a glass doll. Having Taylor treating her like an actual equal will mean a lot to her.

Why are so many people voting to bring Samantha to the meeting? It feels like a waste of an opportunity really. We can share anything we learn or hear there through telepathy (and while we probably can't directly do any "share senses" tricks, I expect Perfect Storm could send her a live feed pretty easy and covert anyway) , she follows our orders anyways, and at best might have a wise comment or two? At least bringing TIm would introduce him as on our team (I consider that a negative :p but its a position to hold) .

Dragon, I don't quite see the point.... this is local-trouble for Philly, Dragon's a very busy hero even if we assume she's lost no multitasking etc ( I don't think she did?) switching to Unison. Endbringer programs, forum moderating, hero stuff in Canada... I'd rather not ask her to come deal with local stuff unless its way worse really?

Vista isn't /that/ much younger than Taylor, and hardly the only kid hero around (like okay Glory Girl and Panacea have parental approval.... except Miss Militia is Vista's parent now so she could give it easier than convincing a scared mundane, and I think most of New Wave's parents are dead by now anyway? :p ). And she now /knows/ Calamity Witch isn't an adult, how will that affect her inclination to be left out or only filled in later? What will people do if we go to share what we learned at meeting and /she asks/ why we didn't bring her?

I think testing the PRT by daring them to leave Vista out would be an interesting plot development, but as an alternative.... what about doing the same thing people plan with Dragon? Have her pose as a different cape name (the tricked out combat arm should help, and I can't imagine Tim is unable to whip up a good-enough costume in time) and let her have fun being a double witch hero, with /two/ layers of secret identities! :V Or more seriously, have her show up and be insightful (shes way more experienced than us still, remember? And basically grew up surrounded by heroes to watch?) and then /afterwards/ we can consider whether to let slip to PRT our fait-acompli once Vista's already involved.

It is worth noting that we wants her, yiss we do so putting her on our side of the table is a great ploy.

The Protectorate made a perfectly viable child soldier with a great area control power, then insisted on treating her like a innocent flower and creating a tightly wound ball of resentment. I went into detail about this back when we were arguing about her cyberarm, but Vista has basically been a active cape for longer than some military tours of service. Shes a professional (or in so much as she can be), she knows her shit, she can take care of herself, shes powerful and useful... but does the Protectorate value that? No, they treat her like a child, harangue her for doing the same things her older peers do, force her to act cutesy for the cameras, and obey people who have years less experience than she does. Hell shes been stabbed, beat, got a bunch of scars and even lost an arm in combat. I think all that is worth some deference but the PRT and Protectorate do not agree.

But us? We are her friend, we treat her with respect, we honoured her choice when she wanted to put a huge fuck-off cannon in her arm. If we invite her to the meeting with us it shows that we trust her to have our back and to comport herself as a cape, among capes.

Thats worth more to Vista (and us) than anything the PRT can offer. So i really dont mind if this pisses them off. Cant be worse than whatever gasket they blew when they found out vista has a particle cannon in her arm.

What may or may not be best for Vista has absolutely zero bearing on the political powerplay that bringing her to the table clearly with us and NOT as a member of the Wards (NEVER MIND THAT HER LEGAL GUARDIAN IS THE STATE) would have. Worst case scenario this stunt would severly impact our working relationship with the Protecterate and the PRT. While they cannot throw us the curb that doesnt mean that pulling dumb bullshit on them like this is not also an unessicary slap in the face to them.

If you want Vista to join us as an indie maybe talk to her socially first and then talk to a lawyer or someone who actually knows how to extricate her from the Wards in a manner that doesnt further antagonise our primary allies in Philly.

The particle cannon was still a questionable choice but it doesnt reduce their authority over her andd pushing it as is. Its like `lets just keep poking the PRT for the lulz´ when we could try ways that dont make our position worse than it already is...

Put another way, we already put a particle cannon in her arm (what Blaster rating would that give her if it was a power?) , will inviting her to the meeting on our side really do anything that won't happen anyways when they find out? :V (not to mention muscle/skeletal rebuild and framework for moar). May as well cement her now, and comparatively ease them into it?

As a aside... we have a grand total of three cape friends we could bring to this. Sam, Tim and Missy.

Of those, Tim isnt useful in a fight and we dont want him where the whole city of villains can see him. Sam would be useful and happy to come but shes the first person to tell us we need more friends. Vista is our friend, and taking her has numerous advantages to our relationship with her. So Tim is a bad idea, Sam is a safe idea but Vista helps us progress.

Can you do it in such a way that doesn't piss off Miss Militia/the Protectorate? Angering allies unnecessarily is dumb.

Yes, pissing off our allies by bringing in someone who's affiliated with them and who they don't want to participate is a great idea.

Bringing Missy serves no purpose other than sending a message that we intend to poach the girl from the Protectorate. In front of Villain groups, no less.

That is fucking stupid. And terrible optics. They're already not happy with us for the first surgery, so let's not rock the boat even more, especially in a place where it shows discord between us and what should be our allies.

Don't be impulsive and vote for this just because you want to improve relations with Vista. Actually think about the consequences rather than keeping a laser focus on the possible benefits. We already have a good foot in with Vista, and if anything we can let her know about what we talked about afterwards easily.

I would interpret inviting Vista as a very clear sign you want to poach her from the Protectorate. Giving her a different outfit and name would have a smaller impact on Taylor's relationship with the Protectorate, but it would still have an impact on Vista's relationship with the Protectorate.

Not saying you should or shouldn't invite her, but you should know how I would move forward with it.

Its only bad optics with the villains if the PRT makes it that way :3 If they act like nothings wrong it could go unremarked on?

But more seriously, poached? Is this shadowrun and she needs an armed extraction team to change careers? Is the child soldier not allowed to quit from service to her masters?

Yeah she's 14 and we're unaffiliated (honestly them thinking Taylor adult and close to Vista is more a worry xD) , but she's allowed to find a new team after wards age right? Is there no precedent for other non-ward child heroes who aren't directly on their parents team?

And if you still have issues with the risks but acknowledge the benefits.... what about my secondary idea to have Vista go under a different costume/cape-name? (The one she might use when switching teams anyways, thats a common thing right?)

EDIT: Of course the Silent one ninja'd me xD But note a smol bit of support to the alternate-outfit idea.... is Vista's relationship to PRT changing even a downside? She's on edge already and we do want her don't we?

Also, theres still the issue of how Protectorate will react to the PARTICLE CANNON we gave her in the arm. How much worse would poaching be on top?
