Basically, Sere (IIRC) was brought in to BB as a counter to Skitter's insect swarms. He still got Skitter'd.

what Archeo said, plus the fact i fell into the MC Quest/CYOA/Game Protagonist pitfall of only seeing what the 'choice tree' had put as the only valid options even the 'go wild with details' got interpreted as 'go wild with details about what you would do' and forgot about anyone else present.
At least we stayed in-character that way >>w>>what Archeo said, plus the fact i fell into the MC Quest/CYOA/Game Protagonist pitfall of only seeing what the 'choice tree' had put as the only valid options even the 'go wild with details' got interpreted as 'go wild with details about what you would do' and forgot about anyone else present.
OTOH the choice was about who would be a priority target, it was us who choose the method of implementing it and we failed to take into account communication and allies.
I mean, I didn't vote, but I was basically consciously disregarding him, because I (misremembered) Sere as being...less than non-lethal. (Hence a great opponent for a bug Master, but not really otherwise).Hm. I think what happened here is that many of us unconsciously disregarded Sere as a viable ally and made plans without him. (That said canon character had a poor showing in canon did not help him either)
I never said that was what Dragon was looking for, just that it was the direction the other person who I don't want to look up was thinking of.Oh, it's from Force. I'll be honest, I never got into Force, particularly after being alternatively irritated and put to sleep by Vivid.
…There is a skill that would let you build something like that, but you don't have it yet and it would probably need to be carried by an armor suit.
#1, Sex is not a requirement for a romantic relationship. Not to mention, if there's anyone in Worm I could see being natural asexual, it would be Colin.
#2, Still no, and Dragon wouldn't ask for it anyway. She didn't want to be a real girl in canon as far as I can recall. She just wanted a lack of crippling restrictions and a controllable body for personal interaction. Likewise and understandably, she didn't have a sex drive, so sexual function would not be among her priorities.
She's also got less common sense/discretion than God gave a rock.
Oh come on, she's not that bad! Sure, she may not be Philly's brightest, but her heart is in the right place! She's also got less common sense/discretion than God gave a rock.

And this is supposed to improve my opinion of her...how?
She's only dumb when she wants to I guess.
She is dead for me, that she chose not to keep it with her is only proof that she isn't trustworthy.Plus, she CAN keep a secret. She's kept Cailleach's for a while. She chose
not to keep Taylor's. Which I don't think will happen again since her new favorite ship isn't at stake.
You haven't quite cottoned on to how big a deal the Unwritten Rules are in Worm, especially the part about secret identities and unmasking. Considering the plotpoint that introduced us to the Adepts, I find that rather surprising.Wow, did I ever underestimate how much you guys don't like her. @.@
I mean, they're called "unwritten" for a reason; most normies have no idea what goes on behind the scenes, and by what we've been told she's got a pretty pink idea of what cape life is, so she doesn't have quite the context of what exactly could've happened. You haven't quite cottoned on to how big a deal the Unwritten Rules are in Worm, especially the part about secret identities and unmasking. So we want to turn her into a Usagi/Serena Tsukino analog?Oh come on, she's not that bad! Sure, she may not be Philly's brightest, but her heart is in the right place!
...
At least she isn't a raging traumatized psychopath...?
I'm not saying that she didn't do something stupid, but she's far from ill-intended.
Which is why we are looking at people already close to Taylor. All that weirdness will be a lot easier to get over if she already has a good amount of goodwill. The only reason I'm apprehensive about scanning is we don't have a way to scan someone without their awareness. At least I remember if we do or not.
My reasoning is that, if we scan people, they're going to ask what did we just do. Scan? For what? The hell is a linker core? People pay attention when a Tinker(which everyone beside Dragon and Triumvirate, believe we are) starts scanning people.
Vista? Okay. We're already friends and we also gave her an awesome cyborg arm. We could probably scan her when we give her the new upgraded arm without any fuss.
Cailleach? 1. We barely know her. 2. She's a villain from Winter Hill.
Agree about Vista, but I should point that she don't need to be a mage to power up whatever toys will be built-in in her arm. Tim implanted reactor in her for that purpose. Why have you not scanned Vista and Kayleigh for Linker Cores yet?
One is a good girl with no powers to overwrite, and the other has a modular prosthetic arm that could have who knows what toys added in, if she could actually power them. The worst thing that can happen is they don't have cores.

I believe I've mentioned it before, but Kayleigh was not acting out of any sort of malice. She's a not-too-bright romance-reading teenage girl who, yes, is a bit of a bimbo. She thought playing matchmaker between her cape best friend and cape new friend was a great idea and justified revealing Taylor's identity to one person whom she already knew wouldn't take advantage of that fact (as shown by the unmasking scene in 9.1).That's how I felt about it.
I dunno, I just always want to think the best of the happy characters in series' like this. It's not like she's ignorant or entirely naive, we saw some of what she thinks of the drug problems in the city, which I'm pretty sure was aimed at Winter Hill, even. We don't know why Cailleach is with them. She probably owes someone. I would really like seeing Kayleigh going hero turning Cai to Team Witch to protect her best friend from what she knows is out there.
That rant won't show up, and for a very simple reason. Kayleigh might not understand the weight of the Unwritten Rules, but Cailleach does, hence…About Kayleigh, well, other people already said everything before me.
The only reason she wasn't bitch slapped or ranted on is because Silently didn't give us an opportunity and I don't think we want to burn a social action on her.
.Laura looks away and purses her lips. "Regarding the how… I was telling Kayleigh about what we were up to Friday since she already knows about me, and your name slipped out. She didn't do it out of any kind of maliciousness, if you were worrying about that. It's just… " She cracks an unwilling smile. "I love that girl to pieces, but she is a total space cadet. I had a nice long talk with her about forgetting that kind of detail if she can't keep it to herself, so rest assured your secret is going no farther than the two of us."
Did you know that when Michael Phelps was in training for the 2008 Olympics, he consumed 12,000 calories per day? Vista tells MM in her interlude that all the civilian arm does is make her hungry, so she's chowing down about 3,000 per day now. A combat arm would require more energy, but she still has plenty of unused eating time to work with that.I'm a little worried about her blood sugar, needing to power more than just the arm. I'm sure tricklefed batteries and other workarounds would help, but nanoha tech doesn't throw out quite as many rules as tinker tech can. I'm not sure a few hundred spare calories a day would be enough for fancier toys.
Scanning is an obvious action, yes. It's why I strongly recommend that if you want to scan someone, it should go hand-in-hand with the conversation about magic being a real thing. The only reason I'm apprehensive about scanning is we don't have a way to scan someone without their awareness. At least I remember if we do or not.
