i wanted to use Take a shot as music for this but it's impossible to find a video of a decent recording of it (just two years ago i could find three in less then 30 seconds).

With a flair of magical particles Taylor came to a stop over an intersection, uncaring of the number of people below stopping to gawk. As her Guardian beast followed suit a pair of holographic windows appeared one relaying footage of the ongoing stand off intercepted from a new chopper near the site the other tied into an intercept from police scanners. Her grip on Perfect Storm Tightened.
"Rune and an unknown Cape is on approach from the west. Intercept and delay but withdraw if the unknown is too much." Taylor bit out and her Guardian Beast obeyed silently as the window showing the scanner closed. "Storm, Area Search."
"Acknowledged." the device's response was prompt and echoed across the intersection as an orange sphere the size of a small melon formed in the air before flying off. The feed from the chopper was replaced with one from the launched sphere which zoomed in on the stand off. "Enemy forces located, Allied forces confirmed. Enemy force is composed of 15 combatants affilieted with Empire 88 armed with sidearms and four more armed with stolen police AR-15s since given illegal modifications. Allied forces are composed of 11 Police officers. six are wielding their sidearms while five are armed with their own rifles. Protectorate Heroes Assault and Battery are en-route do to the approach of the E88 capes. Estimated time till they are in position to begin their assault is 5 minutes."
"Feasibly of getting a direct line of sight?"
"Inadvisable. enemy forces are watching the skies and I have detected seven hostages. if they see you approach they may try to use them as human shields. Correction, they are attempting to use the hostages to intimidate the Officers on site."
"Open a line to the PRT, send them a data packet and request a link to Assault and Battery's radios."
"Order confirmed. Line open... Packet sent... Link established."
"Assault, Battery? Calamity Witch. I am in position to supply support but the Empire 88 have hostages."
"Calamity, Battery. Say again?" the older heroine's voice came through clearly, Perfect Storm's programing filtering out all interference.
"Enemy force have hostages, they are attempting to use them to make the police back off."
"Shit." Assault cursed before being told off by his partner. "Calamity, can you do anything?"
"Negative. Flare shooter's margin of error is too large for use in hostage situations and several hostiles possess baseball bats which will allow them to harm the hostages if Rust shooter is used to disable their weapons." Storm broke in. "Enemy units guarding the hostages must be disabled with the first volley or hostage casualties will ensue."
"What about your partner?"
"Occupied with delaying Rune and the Unknown." Taylor injected taking back her side of the conversation. "I... might have an idea though, I'll handle preparations while you get into position. Calamity Witch going silent." She cut her voice input but left the link active. "Storm open a new program file and copy Flare shooter's code into it."
"Command complete. What are you intending Mistress?"
"If we don't have a spell to handle this then we'll have to make one. I understand Flare shooter's code well enough that I can modify it but this is to delicate to do so on the fly like normal. we have four minutes so let's use them."
"As you command My Mistress." Taylor held her staff in front of her then released it as a window and a holographic keyboard open in the air between her and the staff. her fingers flew over the false keys, the lines code on screen was modified, corrected, deleted and restored to fast for most to track. Taylor lost her self into the act till she was jolted out of it.
"Calamity Witch, Assault. we're in position, I hope your idea works." Taylor reached out and took hold of it with both hands, headless of the camera crew now filming her every move.
"This is Calamity." She glanced at the code and and at the screen showing the hostages. "I'm ready. Getting to a better firing position now." with that she accelerated upwards till she was above the rooftops and had a straight shot at the stand off.
"Calculating Firing solution, confirming Hostage locations, primary threats Identified!" Storm called out, words echoing more strongly then before the words could be clearly heard even on the ground.
"Release safeties, increase time perception." she formed a strong sheild under her feet and took a wide stance as leveled the head of the staff at the ungoing hostage situation, the Area Search's feed moving to be right in front of her face as it repostioned itself to help in her firing solution
"Increasing Time perception... Target coordinates confirmed. Firing Lock is canceled." the word echoed in her mind as the world seemed to slow, the audio deceleration slowing down with it till storm's sounded almost comically deep. the firing solution appeared on the window showing the enemy and the hostages, her targets outlined in red while the hostages were in yellow. she zeroed in on the frist of the three gaurding the hostages, his weapon was trained in their general direction while the others faced the doors. If she could take him down she would have two, maybe three seconds to deal with the others before someone got hurt.
Slowly the gangbanger's gun moved to pointing at the wall above the hostages as he moved uncomfortably, giving Taylor the opening she needed.
"Flare Sniper!"
this kind of got away from me.
also how do you guys think Taylor's PHO thread would react to this?
