I don't like that Plus Extra has the Deathwatch, because they're already overstretched. So I'm doing the other one.

There's a difference between calling people because it's part of the plan, and calling people because you're desperate.

Dealing with the genestealer cult is something that is up there alley especially if it means long term less cults coming up

They wont come in mass probally only a single kill-team

Gives a good opening to work more with them in the future

And instead of a gamble and rolling for guard who may be worse trying to call on the regiments we know and worked with before and are good will of great help in invading 3 worlds

And we are with to few and over stretched and i can assure you the cult will have high numbers so we will need all the chances we can get to has much of our marines alive and maybe be of help in the campaign as we can
 
Question, are we allowed to propose characters in the same way we do planets? Because I just finished playing with the Imperial Commander Creation Table.
 
@ThunderOwl Are there any downsides to asking for specific regiments?

A single kill-team is the standard Deathwatch force deployment, and is often enough to turn the tide of massive wars. They didn't even show up when the capital of the Sector was being ripped apart by Genestealers, so asking them for help in something small like this is probably not a good idea.

That conflict was sudden and unexpected and we know was kept hidden by de wiart in his test the sector

So it very well may be the watch may not had the time or where to busy elsewhere heck harker and the sector lord where only forewarned by us because of out deus ex machina visions

And even then they where sceptic and where starting to loosen there wariness when it happend

Asking if they can cooperate will not hurt

They were hardly skeptical, but they did have the problem of not knowing when exactly it would happen, and you can't keep a Hive World like Lezo in a state of constant high alert for decades at a time. Grigori was able to tell from the vision description that these were Genestealer Cultists, so I imagine Harker could too.

And remember that the Deathwatch is disappointed with us for sending such young Astartes to them. Asking for their help on something trivial would not be looked kindly upon. The way I see it, if it's worth their time, the 2 Ordo Xenos Inquisitors we're asking in my plan will make that call.

When has it been stated they are disappointed

i read it more as them being older chapter brothers looking down on the newest kid(our chapter) on the Block kind of thing you know a we are older and more storied then you chest pumping kind of thing

and bringing a Permanent end to a group that spreads genestealer cults i would not call trivial for them if anything it helps them to have less of a burden in the future

No, more of a direct "we wanted veterans, not barely-blooded newbies" sort of thing. If our Chapter was still new but we sent, say, Karark Zel? Then they would recognize him as being a good fit by his personal experience.

And Deathwatch would probably call it trivial because it is not the kind of high-difficulty mission they are meant to do, even if it is important. They don't get sent everywhere that Xenos are, they are specifically meant for situations where a best-of-the-best scalpel is needed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat or as a critical part of a longer term campaign like when we helped them against the Tau.

I'd ask them more for the dark eldar raid as taking advantage of a dark eldar raid means good things besides dead leaders and more captured xeno ships for a specific purpose that could include infiltrating Commoragh if someone's ambitious.

Though our ordos xenos contact could do that in theory.
