Children of Chaos
Upon the forests of the old world they existed, beastmen the children of chaos mutants who had felt the touch of the dark corruption even before they were born when the cursed moon hanged right in the sky above the world. Once they were legion, in the past their numbers ranged in the billions as they ravaged the world of men and their civilizations, but those times are long gone. For civilization had triumphed against them casting them from their dark thrones and exterminating them until their numbers which previously had been on the side of billions, now was reduced to only a couple hundred thousand beastmen.

It would take untold millennia before their numbers rose again to a mighty height, but their own nature made so that they could never work together, until something very unusual happened upon a large tribe of beastmen composed of thousands of the fell mutants. A stranger came to them, bearing a message and various gifts of his master the great Asavar Kul everchosen of the dark gods of chaos at first they tried to kill him ignoring all he said, but the stranger was a sorcerer of dreadful power and easily destroyed their attempts of killing him and sending his soul to the hungry maw of the dark gods.

He then used his sorcerer power to assert control upon the herd of beastmen, and conducted several experiments on them on the attempt to create something that would serve his master plans to the letter, the result of his experiments was the beastmen known as Golgek and after finishing his creation the sorcerer released it upon the world before returning to his masters' side.

Golgek was created from decades of experiments using the very energies of chaos to make him stronger than other beastmen even when he was at the womb of his mother, because of this he is an unusually powerful Bestigor, even as Bestigor he has the strength of minotaurs and the capability to utilize the fell powers of chaos manipulating reality to his whims if he desires. If he survives long enough is very likely that a new breed of Beastmen will enter the world. Thanks to his formidable strength he quickly made a sizable herd, and after some time started to make conflicts with other herds and soon took control of hundreds of thousands of beastmen.

But Golgek wanted more, he wanted more power and like all beastmen wanted the utterly destroy the notion known as 'civilization', and he set his target upon the nation of Bretonnia, he would fight against them for years and when he declared his intent to destroy and ravage the land of chivalry the knights of Bretonnia responded by declaring a errantry war, this errantry war against the massive herd would only stall its advance for a time or not stop it at all. And the smell of conflict attracted more and more beastmen to his herd, from towering minotaurs to the shamans of the beastmen

Only after hundreds of thousands had died on both sides on the years long war that was waged, did a blockade be made to prevent the beastmen from spilling out in Bretonnia and causing serious damage to the lands of the nobles. But this only did for so long and it did not stop the few random beastmen warbands from spilling out to the dukedoms, and in the case of Artois who the beastmen have already attacked several times in the past because of its region being a forest and so had packs of beastmen in it. The invading beastmen herd used this to their advantage and travelled across the hidden paths they used to travel there and launch an all out attack against the dukedom.

But this wasn't the worst, the worst happened when the king of Bretonnia Jacquot de Langre was personally killed by Golgek, and so the situation was worsened as the king died without any male heirs and so a new king had to be chosen which means that the dukes had to leave the battlefield and their forces they had taken were now without their key leaders leaving the beastmen with a easy time to slaughter.

That's when they all saw it.

A towering pillar of darkness arose the horizon of Bretonnia along with the biggest dragon any of them ever saw, to the point it initiatily was confused by a actual mountain and deep in their very souls all of the beastmen present beastmen, from their mighty leader to the Bray Shamans all felt a mind numbing horror and fear, so great was their fear that they momentary stopped fighting but soon after they restarted, harder this time the pillar of darkness seeming to make them angrier for some reason, and from the darkness of the land resided a sorcerer the same one which had set all of events happening right now by his experiments decades ago in the service of his lord Asavar Kul.

Though the new god who descended has complicated things, as mighty as he is Lord Asavar is no match for the god, but there are other servants of the dark gods who have the chance to defeat him in combat be either physical or magical, but first he must warn his lord about this new development on the so-called land of chivalry.

Disappearing once more the sorcerer started making his journey towards the chaos wastes and to reach the dark empire being built by his lord.

Sooo, we can probably expect a Visitor or two soon... Who knows, maybe the Dark Gods are gonna call Be'lakor or someone like him up.

well this is going to be fun, wipe out the beastmen (not for good, cause chaos moon) but enough they are a irrelevant force in the world.

still it sounds like this sorcerror guy is REALLY underestimating the spell-power we have at out disposal.

Every dragon can cast dispel...and we have ALLOT of emperor dragons which are akin to elven magisters of their respective winds of magic.

i would like to see kairos try to make over 700 saves against having its magic dispeled or being banished. Not to mention the support magic we can net...we wont fight fair or nice against chaos, they don't deserve it.

I was reading a few tibits of the ork twin gods Gork and Mork (or is it Mork and Gork?) When I found something frankly hilarious. Once upon a day in the warp the ork gods were travelling the warp fighting themselves or searching something to fight.

When they happen to find a 'cave' where two daemons were arguing, they proceed to beat the shit out of those daemons where the point where one was begging for his life and the other was knocked out.

Those two 'daemons' were Nurgle and Khorne and this hasn't been retconned when it was published during the second edition until now.

holy fuck...the WWWAAGGGHHH field is BULLSHIT if it allowed them to beat the shit out of khorne and nurgle.

wait...does this mean...that the ork gods might decide to have malleus have a WWWAAAGGGHHH aimed RIGHT at the chaos wastes? its the best place for a super scrap...and it would be HILARIOUS if the ork gods decided to go fight the two arguing gits again.

So @Alucard Vampiry is the Allmighty God the end game and who is the god that made the entire multiverse

lets not get into that shall we?

and overgods are a thing, they are complete bullshit by the way, able to create and destroy with ease and DO NOT NEED WORSHIP...they are singularities of power and faith to the point they can survive with being unknown and still be at the top of the food chain of the divine hierarchy.

Isn't the dragon (dnd) version of Ao called Io? Just curious.

Also, does our MC have a dragon form now at times? I might of missread.

No, but yes...see Ao is THE overgod of DND, and pretty much the guy who keeps the other gods in check when they decide to get too rowdy, case in poin the times of trouble when he decided all the gods needed a lesson of humility, and allowed mortals who killed them to gain their domains/god-hood. Needless to say allot of shit went down, and also only Helm and bahamaut were the only ones not affected by the whole cast down from heaven route.

Bahamut because he guards the backdoor into the heavenly realm, Helm because he is the watcher and gaurds the front door...needless to say not only did they do their job effectively, but also were actually fucking decent gods rather then being dicks to mortals because LOL.

also the Head Dragon Diety is the greater God Asgorath, another name for them is Lo and they are the creator god of dragonkind. Not the Father of Dragons, but THE creator of dragon-kind.

Needless to say the one time s/he ever manifested was during the act of creation, and was so huge the largest dragons were but the size of a scale in comparison.

and also i would rather we never-ever-ever go to the far-realms (or frogotten realms). To much fuckery going on and way to many different plots to destroy the world every week. Plus murder-hobo adventurers going off to kill dragons which would throw our Protag on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge...

or in other terms...

Hey @RandomDwarf if we and the other gods along with dwarf and elven ones come to DND before the time of trouble what would the DND gods think of us and most important what would Ao think of us

depends on how we act during that time. We would still be thrown out of the heavens and made mortal again though (well killable anyways), but the good news is that we would be able to RAPIDLY grow in power as we devour gods and their domains.

Ah yes. That One. The ToT, the Time of Troubles or like i like to call it, the ToD, the Time of Delights, because Power Pinatas are walking around everywhere and you can get to be a God by Walking the Honored Path of the Murderhobo.

Just caught up with the Quest... and things escalated just a tiny bit. Gotta take exploding Dice into account for my own Quest...

The march towards the forested region of Bretonnia began on the next day, but before that the dead rose from their graves. When one stops to think of how many graves there must be that a necromancer can use to resurrect to be part of his undead army the number must be astronomical. Indeed there are many known and unknown graves upon all regions of Bretonnia. And right now the being known as Dracul was raising all of the dead of Lyonesse all at once, with the exception of the grand and luxurious tombs of the fanatical servants of the Lady of the Lake, as it was shielded by the goddess' influence and power.

Which was a shame as they would have made great Wight Kings, generals which were totally loyal to him and he could entrust with the leadership of his forces towards a goal set by him. But their tombs and others such as them could be handled when he consolidated his gains. But for the other tombs and graveyards the same could not be said, clawing their way out of the earth which binds them millions upon millions of undead rose, from simple graves to ancient battlefields long lost to history, they all rose on the command of their new master.

The million strong army at the Father of Dragons was now in the tens of millions, it is really impressive how many have died in a single dukedom of Bretonnia the land of chivalry being rather disrespectful towards their dead, not recovering their bodies and letting them rot through the ages past, present, and future not that the lord of the dead was complaining as it allowed him to greatly bolster his forces. To the point that the few hundred thousand undead left to protect the new territory was barely worth noticing as they marched towards Artois.

When they reached the forests of Artois, they were immediately attacked by parties of suicidal beastmen who were quickly slaughtered by the forces of death, But as they marched towards the center of it, they met various bands of faithful peasants, who are in reality members of the various dragon cults that had risen. They were ignored by the tens of millions of undead as they marched towards the rest of the lands of Artois, but not before making a plan of attack, against the beastmen and knights of course.

The numbers of beastmen are in the hundreds of thousands thanks to the information gathering and the forces of Artois were only 25,000 in total strength but have a few grail knights on their side, after the grail knights have been taken cared of they will prove easy pickings, but the beastmen know very well how to hide in the forests….
