personally like Heartsworn as well
Hrrm. Sooo Our Healing/Restoration is about top notch, but I think we're drawing on that big tree for power. Something to pay attention to, though I think we can run both ways with it, waxing stronger and boosting the tree for it..
With how Brave Bloods ability turned out and the advice we got from Mathew I'm even more inclined to get Intuitor (or something similar, if we get the option) next.
The description of how to time strikes to the heartbeat etc. makes it sound like something that would fall under "diverse and tricky talents", to me.
And this is why I'd really want to go for broad things first next. A narrow focus is not gonna bring us to a level where we can overcome any and all opposition in a short enough time frame. Better to have more options to choose from. (And yes, I am aware that we're supposedly not gonna life into our 20s, probably.)
The Jack of All trades empowered by a dedicated Ethos. "I may not be the best juggler, dancer or singer, but I can do all three at the same time better than most."
I don't expect it to make us super-human on its own, but to help us make the best out of the broad range of our other abilities.I don't hate intuitor, and it would likely synergize well with a broad range of ethea and give us some minor tricks for things they don't cover, but I still think you're overestimating it. The spirit of it seems to be "jack of all trades, master of none". It will probably give us some neat tricks but nothing about it says it's going raise us above baseline human the way he was talking about. I'd also hesitate to call Heartsworn narrow when it talks about making our dreams and ambitions manifestly physical and making words into bonds. That could cover pretty much anything.
Hmm.
And as an addendum: we should consider OpSec more when making decisions, including Ethos choices.Hmm.
Our strength lies in our Demigod Ethos. But it also lies in our ability to take multiple!
My takeaway is that we should refrain from taking specializing any Ethos, barring us proccing a Mythical or other mitigating circumstances.

I think this is overreacting a bit. He was assuming both that we have only one ethos, and that what he said about Ethea firming as they develop holds true for us. The first we know is false, the second I'm not certain of. Regardless, while I agree we should broaden the Ethea we have as much as possible, restricting ourselves to only generalist options will limit us as well. Lilly specifically notes that she can in fact cover every base by taking an Ethos for it. As an aside, being more specific and unusual is the only commonality to rarer ethos, Mythic or not.
Also I'd still be wary of of mystery girl, whether she's actually heading our way or not. She's clearly been touched by something similar, she might be a one trick pony, she might have multiple Ethea we haven't seen yet.
We just had it confirmed we're close enough to the place she's going to reach it and be back by morning. She's totally coming our way.
The Lore Warden can suck it. He also said to Lily's dad that her healing talent is significant enough to lock her in a tower.
If you are talking about who Yolun mentioned in 1.5, that was Clarissa (from 1.6). She got skewered with a rapier by a noble for backtalking. Nearly got the whole family executed too, but the noble was 'merciful' and didn't punish the rest.
Yeah your Ethos failed its roll to grow in that direction pretty hard, so none of the Level Up Choices have that as a primary feature.
