Marigold is probably in Narisell by now. She was just on the other side of the Parisi border in her interlude. Still has to cross most of the country to get to Lilly.
Yeah, just making a brief estimate off the map, she probably has a little less than 3 times the distance to travel as Valerie does.Marigold is probably in Narisell by now. She was just on the other side of the Parisi border in her interlude. Still has to cross most of the country to get to Lilly.
We don't know how strong of an artifact that rose bush even is though. We do know that some exceptions are made for the nobility who govern the region and we don't know what kind of power the high kingdoms are wielding. By their standards Waters might be using the equivalent of a child's toy to beat on toddlers. How the fuck is a regional lord's coterie going to get access to an Artefact then? One capable of apparently doing some horrible mental shit through subtle sympathetic links which inquiring into subjects yoou to the attack?
Lord Waters isn't the King of Narisell, I could understand a King having an inherited Artefact or something that wasn't looted. But this? This kind of thing is a threat, there's no way Lira is going to allow an Artefact that serves as an incredibly potent infohazard stay in the hands of a client nation.

Well more specifically I'm curious as to why you think she's from the east or was anywhere near Brassley, which is on the complete opposite side of Narisell from where she was, and was moving east. Granted it doesn't tell us anything about where she's coming from specifically butWhereas Marigold won't, but that still places her in a dangerous location. Given that she likely started somewhere in the east in a and then moved down to the Brassley area, she could've just started around Lolisv's capital area, or maybe being from Quarn is possible.
At least implies she's been moving eastward for a while, and certainly wasn't on the east side of Narisell, since she can at least somewhat track Lilly's location.Soon I would pass out of Parisi and into Narisell on my way east. The distance was hard to track, but I knew I was getting closer. I doubted she was as far as Scobar.

I'd wait until we learn more about the [Rapid Iterator] from Martin before we assume too much about the relationship between Waters and the [Rapid Iterator]
While Lira or Molain may be months of travel away, that does not mean they do not possess the capacity for immediate and total obliteration of those they are disappointed with.
Though if we're making offhand guesses, and talking about the Lore Warden, perhaps he's from Lira. With the way he talks about backwaters and such we assumed he was of the nobility of Narisell. But I figure it's possible he works directly for Lira, and was assigned to this position or was otherwise given to Narisell to place as they saw fit. Even if this isn't the answer, I think it would explain why he has such an attitude. Imagine being born, raised, and trained in one of the most powerful nations in the world. Then they ship you out to the middle of nowhere.
Just getting out of bumfuck nowhere to at least the capital, if not a posting closer to Lira itself, might be enough whether he's from Lira or is just a local with an overly high opinion of himself. I'm thinking he's at least from one of the better regarded tributaries the way he talks though.Well, if we want to talk about the Lore Warden I'll link to my post on it when we were discussing it way back when.

Still not sure why he has such high standards, and what that assumed reward is, but maybe it would mean some kind of promotion. Or something that would lead to him gaining a position of greater prominence.
...I swear, if it's about the interlude angels...
Wait. We don't have low Fracture. We have no Fracture. Why is that?
You make your way closer, hoping things go better than the last few times you spoke. Myah was inconsolable after Jeremy passed. You both cried together, rallying against the injustice that is the Black Lung. When the disease took her mother too, only Myah and her father were left. You expected more tears, you certainly cried and shed plenty for her. But Myah didn't. A coolness and distance began to grow that soon tainted your time together. You hope time can heal those wounds; it has been months even before your disappearance.
In 1.6 when we first approach Myah, the prose tells us that Jeremy passed first, then Myah's mother. In 2.3 when reflecting on her situation, the order of the deaths have changed. Myah's mother is described as dying first with Jeremy passing two days later. It broke your heart to see your friend waste away. The light in Myah's eyes grew distant in equal measure to Jeremey's fading strength, you'd never been close to him amongst your group of friends, but you mourned his impeding passing all the same.
Things went quickly after Myah's mother died. The Temple were not able to make her safe to see, none of you were able to visit her and Myah's father could not afford the cost of warding letters to be passed between any of you. The Sisters simply informed Myah and her Father when she'd left the mortal coil.
None of you told Jeremey, he didn't need to bear that weight on top of everything else, but somehow, he knew. Two days later, he passed on too while none of you were there.
...Yes, we're named after the poisonous lily.As a bonus left-field thing, I'll throw in that also in 1.6 when Dad is telling Lilly about his sisters and family he notes that his mother drank "Night's Lily" which by the associated context is poisonous because it was an inferred suicide. Related to all the Lilly's name theories somehow?
...Yes, of course.
Wait. We don't have low Fracture. We have no Fracture, according to the Lore Warden. What does that mean, when all the Captain knows of is high and low Fracture?
"Your Concordance Integration also has zero fractures; most unusual, a pity that its useless since your Tension is also equally blank."
Glass, you're not wrong, but we're a ways out yet from a specific plan, this is just our initial statement of intent.
Until we can get {Rungs of Wisdom} to give us some guidance on the topic, we can't tailor a proper long term strategy.
- Clarification on {The Ladder} telling you about stuff your other powers can do.
This only really works for low-hanging fruit. The kind of thing where just being told you can do it with zero further explanation is enough to let you figure out how. It also runs the risk of being a non-optimised solution; it's an answer on how to do something, but not necessarily an endorsement.
