Green Sun, Black Shadows (CG/Exalted)

Yeah, you can if you like.

The Fae are apparently blocked off by a barrier of some kind, so they haven't been able to do much for a while. (though who knows what will happen when we start making temporary Bordermarches with our Charms - maybe some will find a way in through those) Even if they can get in, there's a vast distance of empty space between them and Earth, so they probably can't get there easily. Without them being a nuisance it's likely been easier to deal with Shadowlands.

As far as people who aren't Numbers, keep in mind that the other two superpowers are rather shitty to their own people - big wealth disparity there between the rich and the poor.

But yes, the state of the world in general has been relatively stable until now. But that also means that the Dragonblooded aren't likely as prepared for the shit that is about to hit the fan.

But Creation in this world is also approaching the maximum population in terms of usable land. Either way you look at it, mass die off and Shadowlands everywhere is almost a certainty. Because in this Creation, there is no hope of colonization of extra-solar planets. And up until now, there has been NO one around that can use Wyld shaping charms to create more land.

Basically, TED is the savior of Creation for breaking the Jade Prison and releasing the only guys that can expand Earth.

I'm not sure why you think that the Code Geass world is approaching maximum population - I've never heard that stated anywhere, nor did there ever seem to be any kind of indication of it. Hell, if usable land was an issue, Britannia certainly wouldn't have left those massive ghettos in Tokyo standing. They'd plow over them and make use ASAP.

Besides, the roaming free solar exaltations could have made plenty more land, it's just that the arcane fate would rationalize it as always being there.

Shaping Charms + getting to Mars = much more land

So, was thinking more on what Charm set we'd likely want to unlock after Malfeas and I was thinking Szoreny might be a good set to get. Link to charms.

I think Lelouch has enough in common with Szoreny that he could convince him.

The Quicksilver Sap Transfusion tree interests me in particular since we did choose some knowledge in Craft (Poison). Quicksilver from Szoreny is the base for all the deadliest poisons there are, so we could use our own blood as a crafting material. With the addition of Subtle Poison Style we can delay the onset of any poison we make with our blood. Transcendent Toxin Internalization would make us immune to poison and disease. New Growth Meditation would allow us to heal faster, Broken Mirror Mending would prevent us from ever being permanently crippled, and Bitter Medicine would let us share the poison immunity and accelerated healing with others temporarily.

One really exciting combo is using Haunting Hallucination Infliction with the poison in conjunction with the Oramus Charm Words That Twist Like Daggers to make our poison blood literally drive people insane.

Another exciting Charm which is quite fortunately at the base of the tree is Rooted In Reality. It completely shuts down Shaping effects while active, which I suspect will be very useful against certain types of Geass users.

Silver Gardener Spirit is also a good Overdrive pool for Lelouch, given he plans for the future a lot and so would easily keep it filled.

Meeting Mirror Deflection would be fun as a perfect parry, especially against Suzaku spin kicks if we get a dot of Martial Arts. Or with Mirror-Strike Counter we could hit him with his own spin-kick, which would be hilarious.

Also, Essence 5 and a ways down the right tree opens up One Tree Forest (which should probably have "Shintai" appended to the end) which allows the Infernal to split into two, with both copies being the Infernal and both know everything the Infernal knows. If one dies, the other becomes the Infernal. So you can literally be in two places at once provided you keep 15 motes committed.

Ok, just had a 'holy shit' moment on my last post. Bitter Medicine + Broken Mirror Mending = Nunnally's legs are healed. (need to check if Kaguya has these when we meet her)

you know I was wondering how exactly is unlocking charmset's going to work? do we need to talk with the actual yozi , their fetich , both of them or any of them ? because I was thinking that we should first unlock Ceceline charmtree , we after all are going to spend five days with her no matter what after all

Likely talk to one of the Third Circle Souls or possibly the Fetich Soul. It would probably need to be a soul that is at a level that we can interact with. I somewhat doubt that Cecelyne would unlock her tree while we're doing the five days of wandering.

YES! I really like Szorney charms. They are so cool and useful! Misdirection and copy.

It works. I say yes we should try for his along with Malfeas

I suspect there may be consequences if we try to unlock more than one Yozi on our first trip to Malfeas (events in the real world happening faster due to time in Malfeas slowing down relatively, or something like that) as Alexander doesn't want us unlocking too many options immediately since he's encouraging teamwork with our fellow Infernals. We should either go for one or the other.

ugh...true.....but which one?!

Mal is something no one else has for a bit until our slayer appears.

And the forest is already being used...

That charmset is nice, but it's nothing spectacular and Kimbery is already the "poison" Yozi. If we're going to reach out of our Favored and Patron Yozis, I'd rather go to Malfeas for some durability and GSNF+expansions, the bread-and-butter of any Infernal. Adorjan for the flight.

I also want to avoid bogging ourselves down with choices. We have

Malfeas
Adorjan
Cecelyne
Ebon Dragon
She Who Lives in Her Name
Oramus
Isidoros

to pick from. Each one of them has a wide variety of useful and interesting charms that collectively cover nearly every situation we could think of. Besides, convincing a Yozi to open its charmset could be a very long process, especially for Szoreny.

As for healing Nunnally, we could probably discover (read: Homebrew) an acceptable Oramus charm that throws her imposed illnesses into the Beyond in exchange for a healthy body, or an Ebon Dragon charm that steals health from one person to give to another.

I'm gonna have to disagree - it's got a lot of really good Charms in it, IMO. There's more in that set than I like than there is in the Kimbery Charms I've seen.

We're probably going to get Malfeas first, for GSNF as you mentioned.

However, Adjoran isn't necessarily someone we'd be able to convince. Lelouch is not necessarily compatible with her way of thinking, what with him being unable to let go of his hatreds. Not to mention trying to talk her into giving her our Charms involves talking, which means noise... so... yeah. As has been mentioned, we might just want to use our Fiend abilities for access to get Wind-Born Stride, and maybe some of it's follow ups, rather than try to talk with Adjoran.

There are more set than that available. Alex linked to them not too terribly long ago. But again the issue is whether or not we can convince a Yozi to open up their Charms or not.

Besides, convincing a Yozi to open its charmset could be a very long process, especially for Szoreny.

We're told it takes at least a scene. We'll have to find out.

As for healing Nunnally, we could probably discover (read: Homebrew) an acceptable Oramus charm that throws her imposed illnesses into the Beyond in exchange for a healthy body, or an Ebon Dragon charm that steals health from one person to give to another.

Or we can ask Kaguya if she has the relevant Charms, like I said. If we're brewing poisons I suspect we'd be having her donate her blood on occasion if she's got the relevant Charms.

The incompatibility thing is probably even worse with Cecelyne, since Lelouch quite heavily disapproves of Social Darwinism.

What?

Adorjan is already a Reclamation Conspirator. We don't have to talk to her at all. Once a Yozi teaches any one Infernal their charms, the charmset is open to every Infernal. Milly could learn Beautiful in My Way, for example.

Infernals have a Caste Yozi (Ebon Dragon for us) and a Patron (Oramus). We can learn either of their charms for 8xp each. We can learn any Reclamation Yozi's charms for 10xp each. So we have full access to the charms of the Yozis I listed.

And we don't need to buy her social tree to get her flight tree. It's 5 charms in, but each one is very useful.

Anyways: Don't discount a Yozi's charms just because we don't like their general thematics. You can use GSNF without being a tyrannical overlord, you can use Bloodless Murk Evasion without being a backstabbing coward.

*Unless I've missed some author note about a changed requirement.

There's some compatibility, I think. Cecelyne's law is "the strong rule the weak", which in and of itself doesn't mean that the strong have to oppress the weak, merely that they rule them as they see fit. That could mean protecting them, if it was what the strong ruler wanted to do. She's also big on hypocrisy, and Lelouch can be a hypocrite when it's convenient for him. But yeah, it's not a strong match, so there might be some difficulty there.

Szoreny might be a better fit.

*HEADDESK* I'm sorry, but I'm rather tired of having to point out the house rules that are right on the front page - this is like the umpteenth time. Please just go read them, rather than have me explain them again.

EDIT - Ok, I've got my patience back now. Long story short, to avoid XP sinks we don't have to repurchase any Charms to get the repurchase benefits, including First Excellencies upon Essence increase. However, in exchange for that GSPs only have access to their patron and favored Charm sets to start. If an individual wants another Yozi's Charms, they have to go into Malfeas and convince them to grant access, and if they agree then it will still only apply to that individual. This means Milly does not have Oramus Charm access, and we don't have Adjoran access, and so on and so forth.

Though Cecylene's Excellency, plan plan plan, fits him to a t.

One charm I think would really work for Lulu is the one to recharge your WP for 1 mote once per day.

Does anyone know where I could find a general charm list for Elloge? I noticed that he was a potential option at the beginning, so I though someone might know where to find a charmlist for him. I think he might serve as a good synergizer for our charms. After all, if life is a story, then the one who can tell how the story goes has a better chance of knowing what to do and how.
