Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Tfw someone goes to basically paradise but they're a speedrunner so they find a corner to wedge themselves into to clip through and back into the real world or just backwards long jump to the exit.

So I know Exalted and I know very little of Dresden, but it also sounds like we're using a WoD rewrite for Exalted? I don't recognize the Primordials being used for the Charms even if it looks like they're just reskins of the usual ones.
Yes, the Primordials are long firgotten and our Charms are inspired by the Hells of WoD.

These Hells mostly share the Primordial's themes, they might be a pale reflection of their greatness, a remnant of their world- bodies or have some other connection.

Also the "Here Be Dragons" mention got a chuckle out of me. That's how the edge of ancient ocean/sea maps were marked sometimes to denote there was only unknown danger past that point.

Also any plans to turn into a new Primordial? The "Paradise Lost" discussion going on right now sounds like it would be a first step towards that tbh, though I always loved the Keris Games one where the "1st Circle" demons were born inside their soul-scape as they grew in power.
ExWod doc is linked in one of the very early threadmarks during Chargen.

World is very diminished, Primordials and Exalted arent even remembered by most anything. The Hells aren' Primordials but the closest resonance of Essence.

Devil-Tigers arent a thing because the Exaltation is running power-saving mode and the world is weak.

This may be fixed with brute force, but thats waaaay later.

Actually Michael would believe you as long as you are not lying, he has a very good sense for those things. Charity on the other hand... :V

Yeah, probably best not to suggest living with Dresden for a while... a considerable while.
Its the sort of thing we wouldn't spring on anyone until we actually got our ducks in the row in any case. And we'd be springing it on Harry before anyone else since he could very easily tell us no.

If we are out of school and have some form of income then we can deal with Charity. It will be the lord of all migraines, I love the woman but dear god I can hear her right now, but we can deal.

Eventually I hope it can go the other way and we can become well enough situated that Harry is rooming with us instead. Not having a proper Threshold in his domicile bit him a great many times and we can certainly do better than an icebox and a wood stove once we have our feet under us.
Yeah that was the product of as far more adrift Molly Carpenter. While this Molly still has a crush she is not about to do something that extreme about it.
I'm just hoping we keep the sense not to go for things that only cause awkward situations and hurt feelings. It would be one thing to go for extreme measures but it is a very different thing to go for extreme measures that never had a chance of panning out. Molly tended to just flail around when she didn't have something concrete in front of her and things kept getting broken.

This, though, simplifies an awful lot.

I only really care for the aesthetics of our Kingdom, not what it's like to live there or what philosophical statement it makes. What I'd like to see is a realm of colourful surrealism straight from the mind of a young woman.

I swear to Sol, I will not stand for any Hell that is not sufficiently girly.

I really like the city hell but it is a bit small, can we make it larger, maybe drop the space thing or something. Make it at least country sized.
while I can understand that, I'm of the mind that a Hell the size of New York City or Shanghai is still plenty big, especially since I feel that a City the Size of Finland is still, for the person on the ground, City Sized :p.

Plus, I don't think there's anything stopping Molly from doing a Big Ritual later to Make Sheol Bigger. She's got all that Occult and the power of An Exaltation after all.

So. I have completed the sort of options this Hell will have. I'll write the fluff text now, tell me what you guys think?

[] Hell: The Hell of Lost Paradise V 1.0
-[] Size: Vast (-3) The Demon-Realm is the size of an entire realm of existence with its own biosphere, diverse regions, seasons, and so on. Come all, come all. We have rooms to spare.
-[] Geography: Pockets of Safety (+2) The outer Hell-Realm consists of seas of magma, sharp and jutting ravines, hails of blizzards, and many other features that are most deleterious to one's body. Yet therein lies an inner Hell-Realm, here all succour may be given and all worries are forgotten. A slice of heaven shunning the outside world that will only bring calamity and distraught.
-[] Climate: Heavenly (-2) The ecosystem enhances life and gives pleasure to those dwelt within.
-[] Population: Balanced Ecosystem (0) This realm never wants for anything, for it never lacks for anything a mind could conjure. Fresh air aplenty, streams that taste like milk and honey and resources that never seem to be surfeit, Earthly Fauna (0) The Hell of Lost Paradise bears the population of beasts that the world is so common with, Earthly Flora (0) Fields of beautiful roses, lush vegetations untouched by pollution and fruits that are pleasing to the eyes and tongue. Truly, one of this realm's greatest wonders, Human Populace (0) There are people here who have tasted the bounty of the Land of Comfort Eternal and they are content, will you join them?
-[] Social Structures: Advanced (0) The people within are cultured and bright. They discuss philosophy, they uphold righteousness and sanctity of action, and there is no malice amongst its populace. Peace and understanding are always given to those that seek it.
-[] Technology: Modern (-1) Everything that you will ever need, right at the tips of your fingers.
-[] Loyalty: Loyal (-1) The people here are grateful to be taken away from all harm and other malaise. Their life sedate and their every wants are meted out. How could they not want to repay you?
-[] Features: None.

This is the only questionable bit. Wasn't the eternity/immortality option from this?
Hmm, I kinda forgot about that. The Immortality option costs One Point

Let's see here, the Options that could grant One Point are:
-Resistance Movement (1) Minority of the Realm that probably thinks that we shouldn't be opening Paradise so freely to the outside world.
-Deadly Flora (1) Says on the tin. The Floras within will probably kill you, most of the time. Not exactly the sort you would expect from the realm of eternal succour.

I am not sure it would last as a Paradise without it. Otherwise, neat.
If I'm being honest I don't think it could be a paradise with or without because shitty people do exist at least realistically however from a fantasy standpoint it could probably be a paradise with or without because some cultures do have celebrations so with or without it could work

Yes the immortality/eternity of something is a necessary feature to be a paradise, and it would be nice (not necessary but attractive to other people) to put either magic or technology in it.

It could be social structure Chaos alongside Advanced tech/magic and immortality?

As similar to original Eden, there is no need for law or philosophy, everything is provided and only personal relationd loyalties matter, no institutions.

Advanced can just be that individuals can pass along stuff if they want and they had virtual eternity but no structure, or the realm provides. Natural machines and occult tomes just because.

Is this possible?

Edit: The challenge would be personally organizing a society just from personal loyalty.

I like'd that, and it wouldn't be much of a challenge, just that no one really cares about other people (after all, "heaven for one is hell for another" and "hell is other people") other than Molly, and as long as she orders them they can work together if they are totally loyal.

I like both ends

I feel like people being immortal with only a single habitable city is just asking for overpopulation
Well, not a City per see. It could be a ring. The Outer Ring is filled with multitudes of bad climates, dangerous terrain and life-threatening perils. Whereas the Inner Ring consists of fields of wheats and barleys, garden of flowers, some Cities or Communities scattered about. We picked Vast, we have rooms to spare.

Well, if your every wants are fulfilled, I guess people would not need to do actual work or thought in their daily lives. Friendship and companionship to those that actually matter in your daily life, instead of unified, structured body. A structure more akin to clans, where they are more comfortable to those they actually know, rather than forced to work with strangers.

Aye, I could get this.

I'm just going to refrain from commenting on this because I don't believe I could keep within the idea of what it's supposed to be based off of the fact that I don't believe that everyone would be peaceful, not that it's not a nice thought but people are people and some people are worse than others.

Sheol has awaited The Infernal Bürgermeisterin for untold eons. They are loyal and willing to listen, even obey, but Molly must manage their concerns and interests carefully lest they turn against her. This Place is Hers, the Good Parts of her and The Bad. This Hell of Molly's doesn't start as a Paradise, but I firmly believe with work, it can become one. A Mirror of her intent in the Mundane, I like to think.

It'll be hard work, but interesting, meaningful work. Something to wile away the decades, at least.
From what I understand a Infernal realm, its very soul, is a place of refuge and solace for its absolute king and a hell for everyone else, so while I like the idea of Sheol, if this is the intention was created, I cannot support he.

I get the idea, but I don't really...like it.

I think that the ideal is that the Kingdom of an Infernal is the ideal world for the Infernal. The Hell part is what it is like to other people.

The truth that someone's perfect ideal, is at least someone else's absolute hell, if taken to absolute and with absolute power.
That's right

Still holding out for world sized hell personally, but a lot of the ideas look good. I am more alright with the loyalty thing.

-[] Social Structures: Chaos (0) Eden is not lawless. Rather, it doesn't necessitate the need to enforce it. The people live in their personal paradise. Enraptured by pleasures, their concerns lie on those that are closest to them, rather than some abstract system of governance or thought process. They have simple wants, and they'll have simple lives.
-[] Technology: Modern (-1) Everything that you will ever need, right at the tips of your fingers.
-[] Loyalty: Loyal (-1) The people here are grateful to be taken away from all harm and other malaise. Their life sedate and their every wants, meted out. How could they not want to repay you?, Resistance Movement (+1) Not all is well in Paradise. A select few have seen the frivolous and casual acceptance from the Demon-Empress to those outside of the Hell-Realm. The outsiders bring dissent, war and calamity with their strange ways. This realm is theirs to partake, and theirs to protect. If the Sovereign couldn't be persuaded to see the light—she will be made to, one day.
-[] Features: Endless Suffering (-1) There is no war in Paradise. No conflict, no strife. The people live their lives untouched by harm. Yet should there be an infinitesimally small chance where they have suffered a demise whilst within the boundary of the Hell-Realm, their animus will reform within the Inner Circle. Ready to partake in the lands within anew.

Here. A new revised option that includes Immortality and a new social structure (or lack thereof). Now, unto the Fluff!
