Grand Army of the Republic: A Star Wars Plan Quest

It occured to me but have we got around yet to getting more specialized vehicles? Such as ones meant to function underwater?

I wonder if Death Watch is gonna get involved in that whole Duchess vs the two corporations?

When Satine will find out in future where exactly all those guns have gone she will eighter have a heart attack or she pops a blood vessel.

Like imagine her reaction when the Clone Army goes public and she sees multiple milions of Jango clones armed with Manalorian blasters, armored in Mandalorian armor, speaking Mando and calling themselfs Mandalorian.

I would love to see her face.

This isn't to say that the clones won't need proper feeding, but in a situation where supplies are running low or have run out, they can get by for longer and they can remain in fighting shape whilst rationing for longer.

And in one quarter, we ease logistical issues, provide some anti-Siege tech, and help extend operation time on Commando Missions.

All in all, the turn went well, and it looks like our requirements will be completed within the next two turns.

Just a question of if Equipment Specialists unlocked new options, if we should go through with the Clone Expansion or wait a turn, and where to focus Research and Administration.

The Mandalorian business giants Concordian Crescent Technologies and MandalMotors have launched a joint lawsuit against Duchess Satine Kryze and the New Mandalorian regime, citing government overreach in regards to their business. Taking their case to the Republic courts, the corporates claim that Duchess Kryze is unfairly trying to enforce her personal pacifist agenda on their perfectly legal business. They claim that she is overstepping her authority by trying to shut down business and production outside of the Mandalore system on the grounds that their corporate headquarters are based on Mandalore.
Just send them in easy constructable parts. Like just de-mount any weapon, send us the ship and we'll screw the weapon on. There, done. Completely legally scraped by on a technicality.
That would be interesting. Clones needing to diet:).
We'll just be able to feed them less, which means arguably less strain on Logistics. Win-Win-Win.

@Oshha In addition to the question on Shipyards/Factory creation, does local military production also cover the construction of military defences on Kamino? It seems like it should since the Defence Network does involve local military production in the form of turbolaser and fortification production.
Yes.
I wonder if Death Watch is gonna get involved in that whole Duchess vs the two corporations?
Very unlikely. They are still in their rebuilding phase.

Say, do you think we can push for Mandalorian citizenship for the clones? Give them a good sense of belonging, piss off Satine, arm up the Mandos even more, piss off Satine, give them a good place to retire to and did I mention pissing off Satine?

I mean I get her pacifism, even if it pisses me off with how far she goes with it. Mandalorian crusades are cool and all but it gave Mandalore absolutely fuck all. Mandalore got glassed cause the galaxy got so fed up with them starting a shitfest everytime they rebuild from the last one.

Probably not. Mandalor the planet and Mandalorian the culture can be two very different things. While the planet of Mandalor is the cultural heartland of the Mandalorian culture it's still a planet with its own government. I don't really see Satine giving even honorary citizenship to clones who have never even been to the Mandalorian sector.

Besides, a Mandalorian can be a Mandalorian anywhere in the galaxy without Mandalor the planet. They are not tied to a location. All you have to do is support your clan and follow the Resol'nare.

All good points, especially pissing off Satine, almost as good of a point as Pissing off Satine, put personally the point that really hits home for me is pissing off Satine.

As the new year started, you received an imperious call from that shabuir Dooku. The Sith Lord and his master wanted you to massively ramp up clone production before the end of the year. And to go along with the desired increase in clones, the Sith also wanted you to escalate your blaster production at the same time in order to ensure that there will be enough weapons to arm all of the clones.

Infrastructure (7 Dice): +20

[] Expand into Tipoca City (Phase 6)
Tipoca City is the capital city of Kamino and where your initial cloning operations are located. You will need more room for your operations to expand and to do so, you need to clear up space in Tipoca City to be used for your purposes.
(33/600, 15 Resources per Die) (+++++ Facilities)

[] Expand into Timira City (Phase 2)
Timira City is a secondary major settlement located in the northern regions of the planet. You have expanded your operations to Timira City, but there is still plenty of space that you can make use of over there.
(0/200, 15 Resources per Die) (++++ Facilities)

[] Expand into Tidema City (Phase 3)
Tidema City is a secondary major settlement located in the southern regions of the planet. You have expanded your operations to Tidema City, but there is still plenty of space that you can make use of over there.
(14/300, 15 Resources per Die) (++++ Facilities)

[] Expand into Tibara City (Phase 4)
Tibara City is a secondary major settlement located in the eastern regions of the planet. You have expanded your operations to Tibara City, but there is still plenty of space that you can make use of over there.
(360/400, 15 Resources per Die) (+++++ Facilities)

[] Expand into Titala City (Phase 4)
Titala City is a secondary major settlement located in the western regions of the planet. You have expanded your operations to Titala City, but there is still plenty of space that you can make use of over there.
(351/400, 15 Resources per Die) (+++++ Facilities)

[] Construct Indoor Farms (Phase 6)
With all of these clones that you will be making, you are going to need to feed them all. While purchasing all of it from the nearby Abrion sector can be done if it proves necessary, you can hide just how many people who need to feed by constructing some farms on Kamino.
(59/600, 15 Resources per Die) (---- Facilities, +++++ Logistics)

[] Local Shield Generators (Phase 1)
As you continue to build up Kamino, you may want to look into protecting your investments. Shield generators would be expensive, but setting up one in each major city would be a good way to minimise any damage done by an attack, be it a raid or a full-scale invasion.
(123/300, 50 Resources per Die) (-- Facilities)

[] Planetary Defence Network (Phase 2)
As you continue to build up Kamino, you may want to look into protecting your investments. Setting up a series of defensive outposts and turbolaser turrets will greatly help fend off any invaders and latter stages could include weapon emplacements capable of engaging warships in orbit.

(297/700, 30 Resources per Die) (+++++ Production)

[] Develop Kaminoan Blaster Factories (Phase 4)
You have already completed the construction of a local blaster factory and if you want to increase the local production, you will need to build another blaster factory on Kamino.
(2/400, 20 Resources per Die) (--- Facilities, ++++ Production)

[] Develop Kaminoan Armour Factories (Phase 4)
You have already completed the construction of a second local personal armour factory and if you want to increase the local production, you will need to build additional personal armour factories on Kamino.
(15/400, 20 Resources per Die) (--- Facilities, ++++ Production)

[] Develop Kaminoan Tank Factories (Phase 1)

Cloning (7 Die): +25

[] Expand Clone Production (Phase 10)
You have completed the initial batch of clones, but the army is still going to need plenty more soldiers. Now you need to work on expanding the current cloning operations to allow for more clones to be produced at once.
(346/400, 15 Resources per Die) (------ Facilities, ------ Logistics, ----- Trainers, +256 Clones)

[-] Cloning Operations (Phase 10)
As you get more cloning operations online and running smoothly, you just need to set things up so the longnecks are producing more as required without requiring your direct input.
(157/100, 10 Resources per Die) (60 Resources per turn) (+512 Clones per turn)

Training (7 Dice): +30

[] Construct Training Facilities (Phase 4)
You will need somewhere to train your clones to fight and use their equipment. Set up some locations on Kamino for the clones to receive training.
(188/500, 15 Resources per Die) (---- Facilities, ---Logistics, ++++ Trainers)

[] Expand Commando Training (Phase 3)
With the completion of the commando courses, you will have a small batch of clone commandos once the trainees are old enough. They are a marginal amount compared to the rest of the army however and further expansions are required to increase the number of clone commandos that will be trained.
(267/300, 25 Resources per Die) (+ Commandos per turn, -Trainers)

[] Clone Trainers (Phase 1)
As the clone cadets begin to come of age and finish their training, it is possible to start them to work assisting your Mandalorian trainers. While it would take some time to give them the proper instruction on how to train others, it could be done and help supplement your reserves of available teachers and trainers.
(0/100, 15 Resources per Die) (+Trainers)

Research (7 Die): +20

[] Mental Enhancements (Phase 5)
Look into improving the mental capabilities of the clones that you will be producing. Primary focuses will be intelligence, will power, and quick thinking.
(77/750, 20 Resources per Die)

[] Endurance Enhancements (Phase 5)
Look into improving the physical capabilities of the clones that you will be producing. Primary focuses will be toughness, strength, and recovery times.
(2/750, 20 Resources per Die)

[] Slowed Ageing
While the accelerated ageing is desirable for getting the clones to a fighting age in a timely manner, it stops being desirable at that point as the clones will become too old to fight much sooner. You have figured out how to reduce their accelerated ageing to regular ageing so now look for a way to give the clones truly slowed ageing.
(4/1,000, 30 Resources per Die)

[] Investigate Force Resistance
There are a few species out there that have a higher than average resistance to the Force being used upon them. Hutts are the most common example, but Toydarians and Yinchorri are two other examples. Doctor Desnos wants to investigate the possibility of applying this trait of Force resistance to our clones.
(542/550, 35 Resources per Die)

Administration (7 Dice): +28

[] Hiring Paper Pushers (Phase 2)
Paper works need doing, but that doesn't mean that you have to do it. You've already hired some papers to help you out, but look around for some more bureaucrats that have a good appreciation for discretion and secrecy.
(176/250, 5 Resources per Die, +1 E per Die) (+5 to Administration Dice)

[] Import Supplies (Phase 8)
As you get more and more clones, you are going to need basic supplies for them like food, clothing and other necessities. While you could try producing these locally, it would be more efficient if more costly to purchase them from foreign suppliers.
(0/40, 5 Resources per Die) (-640 Resources per turn) (+ Logistic per turn)

[] Expand Blaster Contracts (Phase 10)
While you have contracted Concordian Crescent Technologies to purchase large quantities of their blasters for your clones to use, the current order will not be sufficient in the long term. It will cost more credits, but you need those additional blasters and it isn't like you are spending your own money.
(9/40, 5 Resources per Die, +1 E per Die) (-3,840 Resources per turn) (+512 Blasters per turn)

[] Expand Armour Contracts (Phase 12)
While you have contracted various armoursmiths to purchase large quantities of Mandalorian armour for your clones to use, the current order can be increased even further. It will cost more credits, but you need those extra sets of armour and it isn't like you are spending your own money.

[] Contact Corellian Engineering Corporation
While primarily focused on their civilian lines, Corellian Engineering Corporation is one of the galaxy's big three when it comes to shipbuilding and they do have several light warship lines such as the C90 Corvette and the DP20 Frigate. Look into purchasing some of their warships for your clones to use.
(DC 50) (-3 SS, +5 E)

[] Contact MandalMotors
MandalMotors is the biggest Mandalorian business around and while they aren't currently producing warships, you know that they are fully capable of doing it. At least they should be capable of producing smaller warships and you know that they know their business as proven by the Fang-class Starfighter.
(DC 50) (-3 SS, +5 E)

[] Burying Secrets
The clone army is supposed to be a secret which means this whole affair is supposed to be secret. When too many things begin to start pointing in your direction, you need to bury them before people come poking out.

Only one new action in the end as Investigate Force Resistance hasn't quite completed yet, but your oldest clones have now completed their training so you have an action to put them to work as trainers. I have also rewritten a few project descriptions that needed updating, but I might have missed some. You have also been given some new plan goals by your Sith bosses.

Please point out any spelling or grammar mistakes that you spot. Please quote them in the thread and explain what you think is wrong so I know what you are referring to.

WIP Plan, if demand is there I will put the free dice towards getting more facilities. Not doing Blaster contracts right now because of the lawsuit. Better lay low for a while. Dont know about cloning. Rest is pretty uncontroversial I think. If people want research dice on slowed aging, make your own plans.

@Hawkmoon I'd like to hear your thoughts especially.

Not sure if I am doing it right. Am tempted to just put almost all the dice on anti-aging research for the maximum potential lifespan for the oldest clones.

As per Oshha's advice, MAX LIFESPAN!

You'll want to put as many dice on anti-ageing research as possible. It will take about nine to thirteen dice to complete depend on how well you roll.

Additional Goals (Q1 26 BBY to Q4 26 BBY)

Complete Phase 10 of Expand Blaster Contracts (+1 SS)
Complete Phase 11 of Expand Blaster Contracts (+2 SS)
Complete Phase 12 of Expand Blaster Contracts (+3 SS)

As the new year started, you received an imperious call from that shabuir Dooku. The Sith Lord and his master wanted you to massively ramp up clone production before the end of the year. And to go along with the desired increase in clones, the Sith also wanted you to escalate your blaster production at the same time in order to ensure that there will be enough weapons to arm all of the clones.
FUCK OUR LIFE!!!

Complete Phase 12 of Expand Blaster Contracts (+3 SS)
Clones: 27,030,000 (+2,703) (+512 per turn)
-Commandos: 40,000 (+4)
Blasters: Concordian Crescent Technologies
-Quantity: +2,888 (+530 per turn)
-Quality: +3
Armour: Duraplast Medium Mandalorian Armour
-Quantity: +24,708 (+4,064 per turn)
-Quality: +8
Palps: Seriously, look at the ratio of clones and blasters to armor. It's horrendous! There's an average of 9 suits of armor for every clone! And more of the stuff just keeps coming every day! We need to order more clones and blasters or it's only going to get worse.

Show of hands, who wants to take our newly built army when it's ready, and simply go kill Palpatine and Dooku.

I mean sure we'll be fighting the entire galaxy afterwards, but at least we'll have our catharsis.

I dunno man. I want to see Palpatine's face when he tries to get order 66 executed.
Yeaaah, but I really want to send him a message saying, 'Thanks for the army, you stupid Sith,' and just conquer the galaxy with our genetically upgraded, technologically advanced army with the largest fleet in the galaxy that also outguns anything else currently on the market supporting it.

So how good are we on the logistics for the two clone phases? Because if we are short spending an admin dice or two to increase our per turn logistics might be worth it. Also feel like the free dice need to be on facilities given the huge demand we have for that.
