I'm more invested playing this dummy thing to the hilt, but also I'm super interested in what happens at the end of this side quest. Ascended Straw God Straw Blue?

We can basically turn it into a Karaoke party if we provide the music.

I mean, come on, music brings people together! It cries from the heart and stirs the soul! It is a language spoken by everyone in the world! No culture is lacking in music!

Besides, our mother ensured we know how to sing and play musical instruments, and we've had off-screen side-quests related to playing music in public. This is our strong suit.

Not to mention we can't bring in out-side help - just our Genin Team - and working with the other two predicates on actually being able to find them when they've run off, while still having the time to make our own preparations too. We might not be able to catch up to them and figure out how to delegate duties if they're in panic-mode and racing off in different directions...

So I say we bring the Music and the Drinks - it's what we're good at, and we can get this party going properly with Karaoke fun!

We Need to coordinate with our team, We can't NOT do it. We need to repair our relationship with our two teammates, One is easier than the other, but we Should and Need to do it.

So, Thanks to the Mighty Katsu we are the man with drinks and definitely have enough stuff on hand to provide 4 peoples worth of Beverages in our house. And Daisuke is currently standing outside his house. So we can grab drinks and music right here then go to coordinate the rest.

Disparate components do not make a party. Plus this is a test for the team.

Best thing to bring to a party is PEOPLE. Then, have those people create an impromtu party of their own or something. Shouldnt be too hard. All we gotta do is convince someone else to bring their own party to the location we were asked to.

We could even help them set up the party! After all, Kurenai didnt specify what sort of party it is right? It could just be a coincidence that a random group of people decided to have a party at that location.

Well, this is different. Not as straight forward as Kakashi's test, where they just had to fight. This is a bit more subtle, but it does have the undertones of 'you need to work together to succeed' to it as well.

[jk] Make yourself a army of training dummies as party attendees, figure out how to feed training dummies besides knuckle sandwiches
 
So... a few thoughts.

- What makes a party a success? That's actually kind of subjective. Possibly we should ask Kurenai for more clarity on the objective?

- If there is no clarity on the objective, then the thing that makes a party a success is if the people involved get along and have fun together. That's... an interesting challenge with our group. It means that we want to coordinate, sure, but "what do we bring" isn't the only thing we need to coordinate on. "what makes a party fun for you" is totally on that list as well, as is "let's try to let it lie tonight and actually enjoy ourselves."

Guys, the whole fucking teamwork aspect is literally coordinating with our teammates to make this party work. Vote for whatever aspect you think would be best, but fucking make sure you vote to coordinate with Kiba and Mariko before anything else. I'm willing to bet that Kurenai has Shadow Clones following us to see what we each do in preparation for this "party" so even if we're rejected, at least we can say we tried.
 
So, I'll break my long silence with a bit of what seems to me, to be obvious analysis. Genin teams always have three members to a squad. The one example we have of a Jounin Exam is a teamwork exam. So, this is almost certainly an all or nothing sort of thing that relies on all three prospective genin working together. I expect that some form of communication with Daisuke's teammates to ensure everyone's at least nominally working together is a good idea.

I don't feel like Kurenai is going to tell us what she is bringing. She already gave us our assignment and we left. Trying to find her I think is an exercise in frustration and likely impossible. If we do find her I think her answer would be along the lines of, 'nothing, you guys are throwing the party, not me'.

Regarding asking Kurenai what she is bringing, it seems like a bad idea. For one, trying to find a Jonin when we don't know where she lives or likes to hang out isn't likely to go well. For another, if we do manage to find her she probably isn't going to tell us anything. She told us all she wanted to tell us at the meeting just now, if she wanted us to know more she would have told us then. We are the ones throwing this party, not her. It is our test, so trying to get more info from here when she clearly told us all she wanted to tell us seems like it will go nowhere and be just a wast of time and effort.
