Manami was absolutely elated by Daisuke's progress in and outside of the Academy. Her beloved son was quickly surpassing even children from distinguished shinobi clans from all of his skill and the hard work he put into his studies and training. She knew her son was destined for greatness, not at all meant to be held down by a mere civilian school as the late samurai of this household had implied he should be. There would be times when she would just watch Daisuke go through his katas, throwing shuriken and kunai at the dummies she had bought for him, and practicing other shinobi arts in the backyard. She found it absolutely adorable when, as a young child and when he was first going to the academy, Daisuke would call the dummies "Mr. Straw"s and "Mr. Rock"s, and it made her squee a little bit inside (only inwardly of course, as she's a proper lady).
When Daisuke began to imitate her noble mannerisms and imperial attitude it only made her dote on Daisuke even more whenever he took some time off of training to spend time with her in the house. It had been a while since she'd refined Daisuke's fan-tapping technique, and although Daisuke mimicked her mannerisms in some ways, there was only so much you can learn from simple observation. And so, one day, after Daisuke returned from the Academy, she called him over to start on his first lessons on learning the ways of nobility.

Daisuke walked into the main living room not exactly knowing what to expect. His mother had rather abruptly asked that he wait here to start receiving personal lessons from her. When he asked what he was to be taught he only got a knowing grin in response.
As he sat down, his mother soon followed with a nicely inlaid wooden box and a few books stacked on top of it. She set it down and divided the items upon the table before them, before she sat down across from him.
"Daisuke, I think it is time that I lecture you on how to properly act with and understand nobility," his mother said with a smile. And so she did.
For the next few weeks, in between his personal training and hanging out with his friends, his mother would instruct him on the intricacies of nobility, how to act imperiously, the mindset involved when acting as such without being rude to others and those he cares about, and the ins-and-outs of how to interact with nobility (particularly what she knew of Iron's nobility, how to not accidentally disrespect Nobles, and how to not make a fool of himself around them). Daisuke could firmly say that he now knew the best method of sipping at a cup of tea without making himself appear either haughty or "barbaric" to people of higher status, as mother put it. She also made sure to make him read up on the current political situation based within the Land of Fire, particularly the relationship between Konohagakure, its shinobi, and the Fire Daimyo and his courts of noblemen and noblewomen.
"You will never know when exactly you'll need to know the current political climate, but you can always exploit this knowledge to your benefit when the situation arises," his mother had told him when he asked about it.
Then came the hidden technique that came with the territory of being imperialistic, or as his mother says. How to move like a noble. She'd reassured him that he needn't keep up the guise of these movements while in or expecting danger or on missions, but rather while in relative safety and in public to give himself a particular air around him much like the gracefulness his mother always exudes. Where to place his feet on a particular terrain, in what way to address people of lower, equal, or higher status while maintaining this air of nobility, how to seem important and graceful to the common person and nobles alike while betraying nothing of what emotions he didn't want to reveal. He did it all, and he could just about glide across the ground while walking normally now that he'd mastered this technique.
Later on while practicing his physical skills, he was surprised to notice that his exact control over his body in and out of combat had increased as a result of his mother's training. Ino had even commented on how graceful and silent his movements were now while walking to and from the academy (she probably recognized this more easily due to her familiarity of his mother and how she acts, he reasoned). Still, it gave him a certain amount of pride at his progress in learning mother's techniques.
When he arrived back from one of his sparring matches with Ino later in the day, he found his mother eagerly awaiting him in the hallway entrance, with an intricately wrapped cloth package in her hands.
His mother smiled wide when he entered. "Now that you've mastered the basics of what I've had to teach you, I requisitioned a present for you, Daisuke." She giddily slipped the cloth package into his hands before awaiting him to open it.
Daisuke unwrapped the package and found within an ornate bamboo box some oddly shaped and angled white ornaments. His mother spoke up.
"Come, Daisuke, I'll show you how to wear them. These ornaments are worm by many noblemen in Iron, and the material is quite expensive but well worth the cost to acquisition due to its durability." She was right, the ornaments were of a solid, non-reflective and perfectly carved, smooth material. His mother led him to the bathroom and showed him how to set them up within his hair, until he got it down himself and they both saw the finished product.
It made him look more distinguished and regal, he decided. His mother staring at the finished product with glistening stars in her eyes and a wide smile, looking at him as if to burn the picture of this scene into memory.
"They look perfect, Daisuke!" she exclaimed, nearly losing her aristocratic presence for a moment. "You don't need to feel that your obligated to wear them of course, but whenever you feel you need that extra touch of nobility to your image, just remember the gift your dear mother had given to you."
And he would. He would always treasure a gift from mother, and it was times like when she trained him and right now that he was reminded that he truly had an amazing mother that loved him dearly. And now, after all of this, he makes sure to spend just a bit more time with mother, helping her around the house, going out for groceries with her, and occasionally learning a thing or two from her.
