It works either way actually.
Sort of, but not quite. For "neither X nor Y", X and Y must be equivalent parts of the sentence. Basically, if "allowed", the verb, is outside the neither/nor structure, X and Y share it just fine, but if it is Inside the neither/nor structure, it is part of X, meaning the Y part has no verb, and also the missing verb it should have cannot be "allowed", because this structure indicates a contrast of two different things (this interacts with other factors though, so the Preferred result is kicking the non-contrasting bits out of the neither/nor section, but sometimes that's not viable so you have to duplicate that part in both the X and the Y instead, though the main verb is the least prone to this.)

Not sure how well I'm explaining this.

Short version: it can work either way, but one way matches the rest of the sentence, while the other requires a correction to a different part of the sentence.

Fair enough. Fixed.

[X] [Reveal yourself as a Magus]

The only reason I'm voting for this is because I think Ayako is going to be in danger anyhow.

Girl tried to raid a Yakuza compound with a bow. Lying ain't going to stop her from getting involved.

I kind of have to wonder how close she is to already piercing the masquerade. Now, sure, she doesn't really know all that much... but the girl evidently comes from an old family. One of those ones with a martial background, excelling in what is evidently most forms of traditional armed and unarmed combat, and probably a minor national treasure. The girl has to hide her love of video games from her family because it doesn't sufficiently involve stabbing things in the face.

That screams to me that they have some well hidden lore themselves. That they might have endured things during the bad old days, been pawns who knew that pawns exist to be discarded, and have kept their blades sharp out of a desperate and futile effort to prepare for their again encountering familiar times.

Their patriarch at least. I fully expect him to try and grab his daughter and go to ground if he gets clued in on any of this bullshit.

Ah yes. Ayako Mitsuzuri Miyamoto.

We're at that stage that not knowing about the masquerade is actively more detrimental then knowing about it.

Kiritsugu's advice works during normal times, when you don't want a bunch of hyperactive teenagers blabbing about magic and putting you on some secretive organizations shit list. But it works less well when the ancient spirits of legends past start tearing up the asphalt, throwing cars at each other and targeting the ones you love.

I am voting for this to outpace the lie vote. They should have more faith in our tiny feisty waifu! And yes Erien, you turned a nothingburger of a character into a compelling addition to the story.

It's funny because between the two Ancient Impossibly Powerful Greek Witches, the Perfect Magus Prodigy and whatever the hell Sakura's deal is..

..it's the regular human teenager that snatches Shirou up lol.

Behold the power of the Actually Talking To People Skill!

Such is the burden of social anxiety disorder. Though considering how similar Shirou and Ayako are in some respects I'm imagining she'll be having some more... confused thoughts as well.

But, regardless, teenage romances tend not to last very long. This has gotten Shirou to recognize people as people a little better so Sakura's chances actually went up.
The moment Ayako finds out about Circe being capable of all sorts of weird magicy things and looks back at him with an unholy look in her eyes is when Shirou decides to commit Seigi no Mikata
I don't think he could Mind of Steel fast enough to escape. Ayako effectively has Otome Games instead of human blood.
