[X] Accept it. You're going to defeat Thresh in any case, and this should stop him from bothering Ardat.
-[X] Pull Ardat aside after this confrontation. Explain that while these feelings you have might be fake now, that doesn't mean they can't be made real through concentrated effort. Like with martial skill, these things take time. Or so you have been lead to believe. Although at the moment you don't really have any interest in the matter, you would be willing to try it, because of your friendship if nothing else.

Drex approved write-in for your voting pleasure.

Yeah... but quite frankly I'm not in any mood to entertain this any longer than we have to.
If we're going to fight him we're going to do it properly we cannot take him lightly. Not only is he verges brother but also a royal knight to be. He's not going to be a pushover anymore even with magic and skill he has his own advantages.

and while he does have his issues I don't see why you're so angry at him. He is whom he is he has reasons to be that way and he is trying in his own way to improve. Give him this fight to gnaw on .

Who said I'm taking him lightly? All the tourney does is give him more time to train just like we would have it gives us no actual advantage.

Never said I was angry at him I just despise the two siblings fighting over a girl trope and want to end if ASAP if we have to indulge in it.

verge gains more from training. it's been pointed out many times .

if Arde wasn't involved he would still insist on this fight. they've wanted to have a decisive fight for a long time now since last time verge didn't fight him with everything. Thresh wants a conclusive fight and so does Verge. Ardat is just the excuse

[x] Decline. You're not going along with… this. And speaking with Leopardmon should be able to clear up the Thresh-Ardat situation.
If we lose and Ardat has to go with him I don't think I'll care much if at all. I just wanted things to be somewhat cleared up and not have one party hurting the other feelings.

Here's hoping people vote to actually use magic this time against him.

A couple things to note:

Tourney fight will be in 130+ days, though a write-in could have Verge drag him out for a duel right now.

And right now Thresh does have a stat advantage over Verge. However Verge has the mantra chant principle and advanced his martial arts and fighting skills to the final tier. Plus, magic if he needs it.

seeing as that's been the issue with the last fight ? I think we don't need to even vote on that.Next time we fight it's with our full arsenal and everything we have.

Yeah, no, not getting involved in this mess. We're gonna beat him up at the tournament anyway

I mean when doesn't Thresh have the stat advantage against Verg? I'm not sure even the 130+ day will remove that.

"It's fun stuff Vee." Your brother replies, cockily stomping closer. "She wasn't that good at it at first, but uh hmm… the giant hand thing of her is pretty fun to fight and she's gotten better at it." The BlackWarGrowlmon looks up for a moment, tapping one pendulum blade against his chin. "She cut off my arms a few times, and did a neat thing where my skin fell off."
Accidentally used Ardat's color for Thresh, which looks very amusing.

Well okay then. I suppose the only other thing that is making me hesitant to change my vote is what does Verg get out of accepting this thing outside ego stroke?
We're gonna be fighting him anyway, may as well clear up that outstanding question of who would really win when going all out.
Because if we don't do that hes gonna be totally insufferable for a long time.

Also it helps a friend deal with an annoying weirdo who's been bothering her for over a month at this point.

Honestly I thought that was intentional to showcase Thresh having had more Lust Corruption, but it turns out he's moved past that pretty quickly.
I think that's supposed to be what it is from how it's been described. Mon are supposed to get used to it at some point.

Thresh has a good resistance to it considering he views Romance as something you eat. Verge has been exposed to far more of it and understands enough to be confused but not enough to really integrate it.

He's going to be insufferable no matter what happens, win or lose, in front of everyone or only us two in a duel.

And that was an entirely self inflicted problem which she still has yet to learn from it seems.

I need better reasons then these to agree to this, something that benefits Verg more then giving him a hit of pride for about 5 minutes before Thresh opens his mechanical jaw again and says something infuriating .
