I find it funny that despite being the less fight crazy one Verge was the one of the two siblings that had to be told the fight was over.

Than again Verge's response to pain these days is more like this.

So I shouldn't be surprised.

Does Thresh Know that Verg is blind in one eye? I don't think he's ever referenced it.
He knows, but doesn't care beyond using said blind-spot to his advantage in battle.
Is it just Verg who's going to be losing a lot in the future? Also he's going to take the L on the groudramon fight cause he's not gonna using his magic or Avalon in a duel against one of the Mayor's students.
... no. Verge is not going to be the only one to lose in the future. Fighting Groundramon in the future is not technically a certainty, neither is losing even if Verge goes pure martial in that theoretical fight.

Show some faith will ya? Verge has taken plenty of W's so far. :p

I mean he might not have been fight crazy but he was secretly the angriest mon in that entire village and would kill which went against his morals at the time.

I mean it kind of is cause we promised him a fight at some point, unless Groundramon dies Verg is gonna try and keep that. Also last time I think it was said even with Verg's digivoltuion he wouldn't win against him and he's spent more time with the Mayor so his martial skills must have increased.

Nah, I always assume the worst.

Verge went berserk, which went well with his comparatively good health pool and *large* frame. Course, upon hitting champion, that got an upgrade thanks to Pit. Thank you Wrath Corruption.

He spent a good two weeks in the rotting zone waiting for Verge to show up and fight him.

Verge kind of... forgot with everything going on. Beyond that? Training with MayorTyrannomon isn't exactly the be-all end-all of things. Remember, Verge beat him.
Well that and he probably has a pretty skewed sense of when it's ok to stop unless one side clearly outmatched the other.... given his experience with pain.
Verge has grown used to pain. He's not a masochist but... well having his skin flayed would be something he could fight through.

He's also very durable, courtesy of Yggy. Thank you magic server tree and AVALON.

Can both two separate digimon load the data of a singular defeated one? Cause I kind of want to load this one coming up but I really don't wanna deal with an argument from Thresh.

Verg also loading the dark digivolved digimon data probably didn't help, speaking of which I get the feeling the Bulwark will slap us silly if they see us doing that. Also that theory of Verg having some data from Pit's first incarnation if true.
He spent a good two weeks in the rotting zone waiting for Verge to show up and fight him.
He spent two weeks in a place that place which embodies the concept of decay?

I figure that was more a strength thing, also I figure that the Mayor still has some other stuff to teach considering he's been to a thunder temple and Verg hasn't.
"That's my secret, I'm always in horrible pain."
I mean it's true, his eye always hurt until very recently.

Yes, but the 10% is split. So 5% each.
He spent two weeks in a place that place which embodies the concept of decay?
The Primeval graveyard doesn't exactly embody decay, the zone just has the nasty affect of causing shell data to hang around rot instead of dispersing naturally.

But yes. He did. Groundramon really wanted to beat Verge up.

??? Of Earth: *Big Orochimon*
[] Have Thresh stall while Verge sets up a healing field.

===

By all rights this shouldn't be possible, a digimon this powerful doesn't just appear out of nowhere. True you were preoccupied with dueling Thresh but… even still, your spirit sense should have picked it's signature up far in advance.

Unfortunately, you simply don't have time to speculate on just how this digimon got so close without being noticed. With two seconds left before its arrival you must act now.

"Stall it." You snap to Thresh before grabbing the blissfully unaware Vorvomon, and starting up a chant. "Zero-one-zero-zero-zero-" The cyborg reacts without hesitation, snatching up his severed limb before rocketing up into the air. Instead of focusing on him, you sprint towards the newly hewed *cave* and focus on getting Vorvomon to its shelter. You barely have time to set it down and turn before the energy signature arrives.

An Orochimon barrels in from the valley's opposite side like a small avalanche, spraying literal tons worth of rock and snow into the clearing. The Ultimate's sheer size is enough to give you pause, surpassing even Cherub BishopChessmon and making Thresh look positively small in comparison. Indeed, as you sprint closer each of the eight heads look to be equal in size to your entire torso.

The fantastically huge mon zeroes in on Thresh's wounded form first, with five of its heads following his trail through the air. However the last two metallic craniums focus their attention on your position. Only the single black section of its body remains neutral, keeping a keen eye on the valley as a whole.

After another second of scanning, the snake digimon nods to itself then emits a low, air-shaking rumble. It takes you a moment to realize that the feral is laughing. Not that you get long to digest that fact, as all seven of its metal mouths snap open.

You dive aside on reflex and only barely manage to avoid being hit by an attack that splits the ground in twain. Upon rolling back up, your nose is assaulted by *Drunky's* odour again, only much much stronger this time.

Up above Thresh shuts one vernier off, darting aside to avoid several barely visible streams of liquid. Which means…

He's shooting us with *booze*... *Drunky* must never know of this mon.

The twin heads hiss at you again, and this time don't settle for a short burst. You're forced to leap up, as one sweeps across the valley, then kick to the side as its fellow tries to hit you with a vertical stream.

Your brother for all his strength and speed is not particularly agile, so hearing him scream in pain as several streams hit his body isn't surprising. Him falling headfirst onto one of Orochimon's metal heads very much is. The heads attacking you turn their attention to your brother, whom… has driven his upper torso into the central head's mouth. For some reason.

Peace Verge, at least he's stalling like you asked?

Still, the distraction allows you the time to scoop up your discarded pauldron and plop it back over your ruined shoulder. With the hardened armor reclaimed, you fall down into a three legged sprint and make a line straight towards Orochimon.

The titanic digimon whirls its central head around and slams your brother to the ground. Its tail rises up, gleaming with dangerous amount of energy, then streaks downward towards the pinned Thresh-

-and instead smacks straight into your left pauldron.

It bounces off with a loud clang, but the force is enough to drive you down to a knee. Orochimon's yellow eyes blink in surprise, then narrow. A second rumbling laugh exits its frame, giving you just enough time to speak the last three numbers."

"-one-zero-zero." Upon uttering the last syllable your gathered energy spreads outwards in a rush of divine power. Your body soaks in the spell, re-knitting wounds, forcing bones back into shape and regenerating your damaged cuirass. Even the straps Thresh bit off come back, anchoring your pauldron back into place.

Thresh goes through a similar transformation, groaning in relief as your spell gets to work. Large chunks of his metallic upper-frame are regrown, the hole in his stomach fills in, and even his dismembered arm flies back to its original position. A full two thirds of your spirit reservoir has emptied out by the time your spell ends, but the cost is more than worth it.

You rise in tandem.

Orochimon stops laughing.

"Hey bro, betch'you I can take more heads."

"Zeha." You chuckle, letting all ten claws pop free. "So we shall see."

=

With a final roar Thresh pulls Orochimon's final head back, directing the torrent of high-pressured alcohol away from your pirouetting form. Its chest is exposed, the opening you needed has arrived.

The battle is ending.

Your turbines pulsate a final time, expanding into a lilac cyclone. The space around your left hand falters, light itself warping as a new field of gravity is generated.

"Shishi Jūhazan!"

The King Of Fists

All of your momentum, every ounce of your centrifugal force snaps forward in a single focused strike.

Orochimon's hardened scales give way, simultaneously struck and drawn towards your punch. Its flesh follows, crumpling inwards around your arm. And lastly, your knuckle-spikes strike the core, shattering the fragile data apart in an instant.

The mutilated titanic Demon-Dragon collapses and begins to fade away, utterly defeated.

You pull at the shell data, taking in a portion of the monstrous digimon's power. Thresh follows suit, and in mere moments, the hill sized creature is gone.

"Grah! That's another tie." Thresh grumbles, watching the last fragments of data float away. "The black one makes four."

"Incorrect. It was my technique that ended this, not yours. I have taken five."

"What?! You wouldn't have been able to do that spinny punchy thing if I hadn't pulled its neck!"

"Aye… however that is hardly worth a head. Mayhaps half of one. In which case I still win at four point-five to three point-five."

"You can't split… you... cheating raagh."

"Zehahahaha!" You can't help but throw back you head and laugh at his reaction. It feels good. Your life is good.

"Ra-rawr?" Vorvomon barks confusedly, its big eyes looking between you and Thresh in abject confusion. The rookie cautiously crawls to your feet, keeping an eye on your brother at all time. Another laugh leaves your lips, before you pick the rookie back up and deposit her on your shoulder.

"Oh yeah, Vee. Does that rookie have a… nickt...name?"

Nickname.

"Mrm… I was thinking of calling her Onyxia, based on her color and-

"Sure, sure… sounds kind of *flowery* Verge, like... what a Lilymon would think up?" He pauses, then looks at your shoulder-decoration with a discerning eye. "And are you sure its girly? She doesn't look much like big sis…"

"Aye?... okay no. I am not sure…"

"Gigigi. What if you're wrong?"

"... I could mayhaps change it to Onyx?" You suggest, as the rookie begins to rub up against your neck fur. "Her nickname bears no importance here. Brother, we've separated from Sparks and the others."

"Yeah… and that matters?"

"It does. We need to rendezvous with-."

"Round what?"

"... meet up with them again." You clarify trying not to sigh. "Backtracking using our launch trajectories has become impossible, so we shall have to find another method for it."

"Uh…"

"The land has shifted too much for us to visit where SaberLeomon struck."

"Oh. Oh! Why don't we go up and do… stuff. Draw attention?"

"The risk of that is too great." You shake your head in reply. "At worst SaberLeomon may have triumphed, and that could draw it or another Mega to us."

"Oof… PileVolcamon wouldn't have lost, he's good. But you're right about the other thing. What do we do now... then?"

"We… have to continue towards Flux Volcano." You decided after a moment's pause. "Our paths should cross upon reaching it."

"So the big fiery mountain thingy. Sounds good to me." Thresh shrugs. "Let's get goin'!"

"Hold, neither of us can identify flux fields like Galgomon we should-" And you're cut off as Thresh breaks into a lumbering run.

"Too laaaaaaaaate!"

"Accursed-that's the wrong way!"

Does he rely on Verg for that? I mean he's usually doing something when we're not looking and Verg has made it a habit to not get involved when his antics catch up to him.
True, But he does like to use Verge as a living wall when he can and well without us there Sparks really only have a group of womon there with him to talk/deal with until he meets back up with everyone else like us.

Since I doubt he didn't get launched somewhere else and separated from our mega too.
