Right so, I think I'm going to add this bit to one of the lore threadmarks.

Training a stat gets it closer to the next talent threshold by 1 point. While sparring gives a general 0.125 across the board.

I don't have an ext forumale for talent growth at the moment but since I don't want to numnerkze that too heavy, I think I'll just go to the point where it *makes sense* for me to raise it.

Over the next minute or so, Sorcerymon rounds up all the remaining rookies that are awake (namely yourself, Fu and Auger) then gets you to sit down by his camp. From there he begins listing off a few options of what he can tell and you end up choosing the one about two oddly named digimon. Slashangemon and Astamon. It doesn't take long for the oddly sounding champion to get down into telling his *Tale* though it proves to be actually be far more of an overview compared to his last story.

He begins by stating that they're the most famous and Infamous digimon in the world, though as to which area is concerned depends largely on who you ask. Both mon have made more than their fair share of enemies and allies, though Sorcerymon makes it clear that he comes down firmly in favour of the angel digimon.

Sorcerymon explains that SlashAngemon is one of few Mega level digimon in existence, which is a rarity since less than twenty of them are known to currently exist. The white champion says that he's a "Rightin' Toot True Hero" and current leader of the Blessed Host, a faction that fights for the safety of the digital world. From there Sorcerymon begins listing a number of accomplishments and titles. Something about slaying a Daemon which sounds oddly familiar, fighting against something called "The Gloaming" and most recently, deleting Astamons second in command a year ago. Some sort of powerful, mega-level insect digimon with a brutal reputation. The adult digimon finishes off by saying SlashAngemon isn't much liked by most *evil* digimon because of his rather merciless approach to dealing with prisoners.

While the subject of deleting other mon makes you feel a bit queasy, you can't help but find a little humor in the fact that this is basically how Flamemon wants to be known. It's a shame he's not here to listen in as your best friend would have loved to hear about this kind of thing. While Sorcerymon's words are interesting and more than a little scary, you kind of lack the context to truly put them into scale.

Next up, Sorcerymon begins to go on about Astamon current leader of *The Gloaming* which judging by the way he talks about it, is some sort of *evil* army. Astamon claims to be an Ultimate level digimon, though Sorcerymon makes it clear that he thinks it's a lie. Fu interrupts to ask why he thinks so, which leads into a small explanation about how there was no way a "Mere Ultimate" could survive combat with SlashAngemon multiple times. The storyteller says that Astamon is one of the worst "Bast-ahem Varmits" in the digital world referencing his use of hostages of captured digimon as living shields.

From there the merchant continues explaining the general situation, apparently he refuses to fight the Hosts army in anything more than skirmishes. His main strategy consists of using his army for hit and tactics over a wide area, and sacrificing small portions to escape whenever SlashAngemon gets close. However, ever since he lost his second in command his forces have stepped up their brutality, annihilating entire villages and towns wholesale if they've sworn allegiance to the blessed host. Though Sorcerymon does say that as of so far The Gloaming hasn't yet dared to strike any belonging directly to the *Great Cities* not that you or any of the other rookies there have any idea of what he actually means.

Once he's done with the main part of his *Story* Sorcerymon says that your village shouldn't be affected by the war at all. After all, the two groups are mostly fighting in the center and south parts of the continent. Trying to fight battles up here could prove disastrous given the hazard coast is nearby and moving armies would be tricky given That the *Ragged Alps* your village is located in happens to be very close to the flux mountains.

Naturally you're more than a little curious about what the various words he'd spoken actually means as you'd never heard of half the stuff he mentioned. But your attempts end up being foiled when he says goodnight and leaves. While Gnaw might have gone after him if he was there, you're not willing to risk annoying a champion just for a few questions. In the end you make a personal note to ask him about it later.

After helping Fu wake up Auger from his nap, the three of you head to bed.

===

When you wake up the next morning Flamemon proves to already be gone, having left for his morning training. A little while later Gramps buys everyone a quick breakfast from Sorcerymon then explains that today you'll all be trying to find and wipe out any search parties. The old Elecmon thinks that by now they'll be getting desperate to find out who, and what is disturbing their operations and they'll be spread out to find the village. Something that he says cann't happen.

The scarred digimon explains that your party will be splitting in two, since the groups shouldn't be too large. You naturally gravitate towards heading out with Flamemon, but before you can volunteer, Gnaw walks up to you and asks a surprising question.

"Verge. Will you.... ugh" The BlackGabumon looks like he's about to throw up as he forces out the next word. "Please. Come with me. It's stupid but. I want to talk "

Authors Note: Yeah, not much to this update besides info *stuff* I'm afraid.

*Agility

Though I don't think the stats need to be in a specific order so much as meet certain minimums. @drexal15 can you clarify?
It's mostly minimums, just with Fortitude having to be Verge's highest stat.
No they need to be in a ordor Drex said so back on page 11.

Here's the quote.
Not quite what I actually said.

Evolving into that would require Verges *main* stats to be strength, fortitude (highest stat) and (the hardest part) agility for the speed aspect of the digimon.

Strength, and agility don't have much of an exact need beyond being decently high.

[X] Accept, head out with Gnaw

Not much to say besides that's some interesting setting info. Gnaw's great, honestly; he's a cute little fuzzy babby Vegeta and I wanna keep him around.
