Only picture I could find that might give us a decent idea of it's size.

It is supposed to be less a Digimon more of a mecha suit so there's good reason for it to be that large.

Though why are they in rock? The only thing I can think of is lava but I'm fairly certain there not strong enough to survive that.

Could be that they got buried in mud or something else that eventually became rock. Verge isn't strong enough to reliably clear rock out quickly, that won't happen till he actually hits Champion I think.

I don't know a concerted effort to find and nab a complete one would go a long way to improve IG the village security.

That said know that we know there a thing we now have to be wary of the leader of the Goblimon having a working one. Gramps is strong but even he'd struggle against a champ class foe.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. That's probably how they're moving those giant boxes that they've been storing the crystals and ore in.

Here's another size reference.
Yeah they're pretty big. Think 20 +/- a couple feet when standing at their fulll height. Each one might differ slightly in size, but that should generally work for the estimate.

Edit: Ultimate level ones can be significantly larger mind you.

Sadly why they're in there is spoilers, so I can't directly explain it. But I can say that something, or rather someone deliberately put them in that situation.

Hehehe. About that....

Welp

Let's just hope we catch their Mec Alone against everyone. Or that Gnaw, Fu and auger can keep away the mooks while Gramps, Flameon and Verge fight it.

The only reason I include verge in the Bossfight is a prayer that Wrath procs and that a full powered Digging claws and Drill can do damage at least to the driver compartment so we can do a GTM ( Grand theft Mechsuit)

Fairly certain it's not an option but if Verge and auger can throw up a pitfall trap that might give us an edge as well. It does not exactly look agile.

As for the mechs themselves I smell a Gurrain lagen reference some where where we will find one and use it ourselves. Or a past life connection where the magic user mon put these in the earth for a rainy day.

Alternatively, we burrow and create pitfalls to trip it with. I doubt we'll be able to pierce that armor.

Fair points both. Though going for the crack in the armor with the eye is also feasible. Gory as hell though...
Yes, Verge would not be happy about that. Probably give him nightmares really.

As for the pitfalls you guys are talking about... Well they'd have to be pretty darn big ones considering the size of Mechanorimon. Plus they're sturdy enough that a short fall probably won't damage them.

We don't need to kill the mec . We need to kill the pilot.

Without the pilot the Mec becomes loot

Without the Mec the pilot becomes a threat less of one but still dangerous.

That said I'd rather avoid fighting it altogether

The fall isn't the point . The traping it and reduceing it's movement is. Think pitfalls in MHW they can get out but it'll take time and that time can be used to smack the crap out of it.

I see. You know that does make more sense.

Though heh, something I'm just going to leave here.

A bunch of Goblimon, literally over a hundred of them start digging up a mountain that happens to have plentiful resources and a number of Mechanorimon which are being excavated. Said Goblimon have special equipment like pick axes beyond their simple clubs.

Someone sent them here specifically for the Mekanorimon... or whatever else may be at the core of the mountain.

Which means that our own chance is to evacuate the village. Because someone with that much resources is at minamum an Ultimate and has the backing of either a faction or a city state.

Hopefully by removing the local leader we can break the line of communication long enough for the Goblimon to scatter and buy enough time to realize this IC and go to ground ( literally since we have two Diggers)

Something's going to give, yeah. But we may have a chance. It's possible that it's a fairly powerful Champion instead. I sincerely doubt that we'd face an Ultimate at this point. It probably does have the backing of a faction, but if they fail it's possible they could write it off rather than wasting more time and resources on retribution.

Hehe. That kind of escalated in projected threat levels quickly.

I can neither confirm nor deny any of the current speculation. And no, that does not mean yes.

Edit: Also coincidences are a thing too, just putting that out there.

Can the group sneak attack the fortified location by digging a tunnel under the wall?
Right now I don't think Verge can do long-distance tunneling like that, at least not discretely. And he's still pretty small, so the others would have to crawl.
Actually it is potentially viable. Would just take a while for Verge to dig all the way there. Though yes the others would have to crawl.

Thing is that with Gramps along with the party there would be no need for a sneak attack.
