Anyone else thinking Core Purge the mooks before she can buff them?

Is she herself included in that? As in, is it possible to stun her?
If her current health is high enough to survive the actual attack, what happens if Red Rose uses her Affinity Kill spell on her to disable her Song affinity?

Here's some brief plottings for the upcoming scrap:
Grey can deal excessive amounts of damage. Up to 400,000 for her first round with her Riot-ing herself and using omni-caster to shoot off two of her. And a little more from being about to battledance with her remaining attacks. Assuming she can't use Riot on herself repeatably it's 600,000 spell damage potential every round thereafter.
Red Rose has an ability that makes big numbers pretty pointless. Her recursive damage blocking keeps her from being dropped by just about anything.
Solid Drive has a healing spell that can restore Red Rose to full Health in a single cast.
If we can duck behind something when Grey starts casting we can pick off the skelly while Red Rose keeps them from advancing. Once the mob is dealt with have Insight give Grey Champion pause and Solid Core rush over to grapple with Grey.
Ideally this means Solid Core has a fair sized cushion of Health to spend on keeping Core Purge up if we run into Miss Immortal.

so is there a reason we can't just cast Starshine and wipe out all the mooks? lets start a riot has boosted their offensive capabilities by probably around 3 orders of magnitude, but they are still squishy and starfall would hit all of them.

1: It's a ranged sound wave. She pretty much shouts you to death. She also learned how to mask the attack by singing along to music.
2: Only the attack.
3: Wut? I think the wording went weird here.
And on that note, anyone have any suggestions for the song she'll sing to during the fight? If not she's going to be defaulting to Otherworld.

Good to know, I'll keep these in mind.
Yeah, I had meant to ask if there were any pillars or other forms of cover our squishier allies could hide behind to avoid Grey's attacks, without instantly dying if their cover was destroyed by collateral damage or something.

Ok, here's my plan
[X] Plan Thriller Night
-[X] Aquila, Sega, and James will focus on getting rid of the mooks while not being killed. Try to take up positions where they can duck behind cover quickly.
-[X] Red Rose and Insight can handle themselves, just try not to die.
-[X] You will activate Core Purge the second Grey Champion is within its range, aiming to destroy her Seal and not kill her. Be wary in case the purge doesn't work, like with the Radiances. Try to put yourself between Grey and any potential targets
-[X] If Core Purge doesn't get rid of the seal, try to figure out what's protecting it, and if possible, get rid of the protection and then the seal ASAP.
Ok, this plan focuses on getting rid of the mooks as fast as possible while keeping our team alive. Grey's basic attack can't hurt us at the moment, and her spell only does 608 damage to us, so if we get rid of the mooks, she's not really capable of doing a lot of damage.
Since we don't have Gabriel at the moment, Core Purge is our only option for getting rid of the seal, but the Radiances had tricks that protected their seals. We'll keep an eye out for that, but hopefully we won't have to deal with something like that

That's a tad more fucked in the head than is really relevant right now......
One of these would probably be more appropriate as a song intended for battle.

Well, Ar Tonelico songs are the obvious choice. METHOD_MESSELA/. is one option, but maybe not quite the best fit. METHOD_REPLEKIA/. is more battle-like, but it's perhaps a little too heroic for her evil version. EXEC_Z/. might be better. It really depends on the feel you're going for.
...I can't seriously recommend EXEC_EP=NOVA/., but I'll do it anyway for sheer variety. Who knows, maybe it's the character-appropriate choice.
It's been a while, but I remember us having collateral damage problems. Probably not the best choice when we don't want to kill one of the (currently) enemy units.

Again, as it's been a while, is this right? I could have sworn there was some other trick besides Gabriel and Core Purge that worked, but that might be wishful thinking.

Yeah, EP=NOVA is hilarious in its absurdity. Still technically a boss fight BGM though.
Other stuff that's great boss fight music but probably doesn't fit includes EXEC_PURGER/.Misha Extracting, EXEC_DESPEDIA/., Class::XIO_PROCEED, and Class::CIEL_N_PROTECTA.
I meant because the precise wording of Super ☆ Star! seems to mean that if she had 20 allies, then she could give all of them 20 stacks of Lets Start A Riot! in a single turn. Because she targets each one individually with an AOE buff spell.*shoves severed Planet Cracker behind a bush* Nothing to see here.
That's why I was scared of what it would be like with Stack By Level.

Collateral damage problems. At its current level, Starshine would probably make the mausoleum collapse, and we haven't practiced with Strshine since we upgraded it, so we can't tone down the level of destruction. So it's probably best to let our teammates handle the mooks, while we distract Grey by getting all up in her face.

You don't pick XaaaCi. for a mid-boss, powerful as she may be. The song is literally about the apocalypse and killing every human in the world despite how much you love them.
Hidra Heteromycin is a better choice for this battle, but may I suggest this piece instead?
It has a slow start, though, and might be best saved for when Carnage shows up again. I also found this gem here.
