Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

With help from the people that revealed that she is a 'thing' Gaia was able to create a spell that lets her have a quasi-physical avatar.

The avatar she has running around, such as when she joins RPG groups and bugs her WEAPONs looks just like a human, but pops like a bubble and vanishes if it gets hit with anything harder than a good slap. Doesn't bleed or anything, which is also weird when she's running around covered in cuts.
So a considerably inferior version of Nepgears "human" body?

This was the battle for Los Angeles. Deep Ones started coming out of the wood work, a couple thousand civilians died, and Hero WEAPON had an epic confrontation with C'thulhu's half-summoned ass in the city bay.

All because Gaia got a little too in to a game of CoC to realize she accidently a summoning. She doesn't like talking about it, and Hastur hasn't stopped teasing her over the Divine-Entity 'phone' since.
For all their otherworldlyness and tremendous power, it seems Gaia and the Old Ones aren't that different from Humanity. Or maybe Humanity is just that Eldritch when compared to everything else.

And yes, R'lyeh is off the shore of Los Angeles' bay.
Well, can't say I'm surprised there. :V

Whose good slap tho'? A normal human or a transformed WEAPON girls?
Average Human.

So a considerably inferior version of Nepgears "human" body?
Functionally. Just less explosive decompression.

@crystalwatcher, aside from Gaia and Shiva and Shii, which others divide being are actively involve with the Eternal War? And for what reason they are involving themselves?
Not many. As it is, Shiva-Sil and Gaia aren't actually all that involved in it.

Sil is just out to fuck over Gaia, and Gaia only pokes at it because Humanity is involved.

Also, when you guys finally do go to Reluxus I found the perfect Music to accompany it!

We can do all three, remember. It's just that it isn't recommended that we do so, since the rest of Team GEAR need sleep and downtime. I think doing two of them is alright, if maybe pushing it a little. As long as we don't do all three in the same day, we'll probably be fine.

Some of these (Canned Whoopass) look like they could take quite a bit longer.
[]The Valhallan Front (Operation: Canned Whoopass)
Heaven and Hell have been enemies since before they formed from prayers and broken promises. Even now, their legions clash with fevered force across the fields of Valhalla. Once the realm of glorious warriors, where the Norse Gods would bring the greatest of heroes in preparation of Ragnarök. Though the souls of those legendary few do not rest upon these shores, it does not mean that Ragnarök has not come. Rumor has it that Shiva-Sil is on the move. The Maidens of the Apocalypse have been sighted across Valhalla hunting... something. One of the WEAPONs is also in the area, and she's been clashing with Unified Darkness forces on and off for the last few days herself. They're all up to something, and Hero isn't saying a thing, so Alaya needs someone to go there and figure out what's going on, and do something about it.
Known Allies: ???? WEAPON, Team RIOT

Team RIOT is fairly tough, but it looks like part of the problem is finding everything. A bad search could leave us clueless about what's going on. A good search puts team GEAR in the position of being able to wreak the Maidens of the Apocalypse once more. Certainly a way to give them more EXP.

On the downside, besides the possible time sink, it's far out there and the Unified Darkness is trying to find out what's going on as well. If they send a force to try and kill Nepgear we're outside of reinforcement range.

Also: Who the hell is Alaya? The name shows up nowhere else in this thread.
[]The Reluxus Super Gate (Operation: High Tide)
The Elves' Super Gates create a trans-dimensional super-highway that allows them to move resources and manpower across their kingdom at a rate that is nearly equal to Humanity. The problem is that there are very few of them, and they are nearly prohibitively expensive to build. Reluxus, before it's fall, had the only Super Gate the Elvin Empire had at the battle front. If they are to bring their full might to bear against the Darkness, this Gate must be retaken. The Elves are unable to build a new Super Gate in time for the Offensive, even with the aid of Humanity. So if they are to help pull this insane plan off, the Reluxus Gate must be reopened. Otherwise, the Unified Light will drown underneath the sheer numbers their enemies can bring to bear in their place.
Known Allies: Team ROUND TABLE, Silver Chevalier, White Knight, The Four Horse(wo)men

This looks to be the least time-sensitive... to an extent. There's a lot of friends if we show up, which are going to be matched by a swarm of enemies. Even if the Gate capture is done without Team GEAR I'd bet there's plenty to kill all the time around this place. If we want to see what Army combat looks like this would be it. It's also the way to set things on fire and give UD something else to focus on. I had thought it would take a while, but this will probably be split so that we can swap out to other things while the fighting rages.

The biggest problem is that we're jumping into the throat of the biggest meat-grinder UD has. Sticking around too long will have everything here changing plans to try and personally kill Solid Core, and depending on how much heat we draw on the other missions they might have already made our demise the priority by the time we do show. Still, that's a lot of demons to convert into EXPvictories.
[]The Ultimate Weapon (Operation: Starborn)
When Hope Fell, Humanity had thrown everything they had at the Darkness in a mad attempt to save it. If it wouldn't end in long-lasting environmental effects, we used it. But it wasn't enough. We failed, and the shining monument to our future called Hope was torn down over the course of a week... So this time... We hold nothing back. Humanity will draw our most terrible swords, our most frightening weapons, and we will see our enemies burnt to ash before we're done. The Akashic Pillar is pulling out all the stops. They're calling on every reservist, every volunteer, and every gun they can. Entire scrap yards are being melted down, entire waste dumps are being combed over. If it can be converted for military use, they're scraping it together. But this kind of mobilization can't go without notice. We're going to far as to even bring out our most terrible weapons, in numbers that have never been seen before. Nuclear warheads are being unburied by the thousands, and everyone is aware of it. The Unified Darkness has somehow snuck kill teams onto Earth in an attempt to neutralize our most powerful weapons before we can use them upon our enemies. But we know where they're targeting first. And it would be a simple matter to stop them.
Known Allies: Judgement Drive, Judgement Core, M.E.C.A. Force
If the information is accurate this is a chance to get the drop on the Unified Darkness. It would be a shame to let the information become stale.

A feel-good mission where we can banter with Judgment Core while preserving the most devastating weapons wrought by human hands and tools. Since all the Cores and Drives have the same Affinities it's a great chance to show off our new Synchronize ability. And Judgment Core needs Nepgear, even if she can't spit it out. Who else can tank the shots meant for her? Solid Drive and Judgment Drive can also give us pointers.

On the downside, this might be the UD running the Pillar's spy network. This could just throw the being most suited for killing Divinity-level Magical Girls right at the growing problem that is Solid Core. We'll just have to throw Gabriel at them if that turns out to be the case.

Hmm. They could be fairly short-term, I worry about Canned Whoopass (did Team RIOT get to name it?) though.

So i think it might be a good idea to look at the missions and who's on them to see which ones we should take.

Operation Canned Whoopass
Shiva-Sil have the Maidens looking for only they and Gaia know, and nobody's telling us what it is. Gaia has an issue with this, and has her weakest WEAPON kicking their asses and otherwise delaying their plans. Known friendlies include the 7th strongest Magical Girl and a team consisting of a prophet, 5 Legends of varying experience, and a noob Epic. Known enemies include the Maidens of the Apocalypse, and forces of the Unified Darkness. This mission is relatively time-sensitive in that even with Gaia's WEAPON killing them over and over, the Maidens will eventually find what they're looking for. Since Shiva-Sil's last fetch-quest would have ended with humanity virus-bombed back into the Stone Ages, we should stop this.

Operation High Tide
The Unified Light has decided to take back Relaxus so that the Elves can pull their weight during Hope. Known friendlies include the Four Horsemen, four noob Epics who defected from the Unified Darkness, White Knight, Silver Chevalier, and their accompanying teams. Known Enemies include Unified Darkness members. This needs to be done before the push to reclaim Hope starts, so we don't need to take it niw. We can wait a few days, but we should eventually do this as it will be eventually tried whether or not we help.

Operation Starborn
The Unified Darkness is pulling out all the stops to keep the Unified Light from pulling out all their stops. The Unified Darkness is trying to prevent humanity from unleashing its most dangerous and powerful weapons via application of kill teams. We're supposed to stop them. Known friendlies include Judgement Driva and Core, M.E.C.A. Force and her attending team. Known enemies include Unified Darkness kill teams. Undoubtedly the most time-critical of the three, this mission's success or failure will help determine just how much weaponry humanity will be able to use at the final battle. We should do this.

NUKES! NUKE! NUKES! NUKES!
Also, secure Earth first, then Elf front, then Help Heaven at their version of the Western Front.

Alaya is the Counter Force's equivalent to High Command. The biggest of their Big Wigs.
So is that where Pink Snickerdoodle runs the show from, then?

Anyway, power nap done. Look out for vote closing, try to have any last minute votes and omakes in soon please.

Operation Starborn is a clear winner unless there is a massive vote shift. The two XP plans are very close with Fundamentals at 13 and No Shinies at 12:

I'm still hopeful one or two people will realize that No Shinies is still better then Fundamentals, even without the threat of fighting the Maidens, because of Flight 11 being the real special mark for Flight not Flight 10.

I got two new pictures for Nepgear's profile on the front page.

The one for her MG form is fucking huge, so if anyone knows of a way to use BB Code to shrink it some I'd be grateful.

EDIT: Nvm, used a smaller version without the transparent background.

~Fae Military Forces: The Death Squadron~
A.K.A. The Suicide Squad

Death Squadrons are the Fairy Home Realm's version of SpecOps. These Battle Mages are the baddest of the bad when it comes to Fairy combatants, and are deployed in strike teams of five members. Each training group can be anywhere from a dozen, to two thousand fairies at a time, and these classes have a drop-out rate of roughly 6 out of 7. Those that manage to complete the training though, are heads and shoulders above literally every other mortal magical combatant, save for high-level Daemons and Angels.

They gained their nickname of Suicide Squad though, through the fact that the casualty rates through the new recruits alone are 70% on average. This comes from the fact their deployments don't stem from the normal common sense when it comes to these things. When a Death Squad is deployed, the only consideration to the deployment is how much damage they can do to an enemy force, that's it.

No consideration goes into possible survivability of the attack. Only the value of the damage it could cause.

Each member of the Death Squads is thoroughly trained and hammered in to accept this fact: that when they hit the battle field, it's unlikely that they're coming back. This leads to nearly the entire Death Squadron to be made up of orphans, and those that have lost more or less everything to the Unified Darkness. Fairies that don't care if they're coming back, so long as they can take some of these demons with them.

Suicide Squad members that do manage to make it back though, manage it by being a cut above the rest. For each mission they survive, their projected lethality starts to go up by leaps and bounds, leading to being sent on more and more vital missions with steadily less likely odds of survival. After ten missions, it's more or less accepted that they're probably not going to die any time soon.

Most are of the opinion these Fairies have a death wish. And in most cases, they wouldn't be wrong.
