Had thought for a 'Magical Girl'. So far thinking of calling her (Akashic Pillar) Magical Girl Warfare Everlasting
I don't actually know what growth to give her. Or how to stat these out well enough.
Her Affinities are Warfare/Technology/???
Weapon is basically a gun, as well as an exoskeleton unlocked at Tier 2, that becomes full on power armour with enough levels.
Spells come in two branches. Summoning Reinforcements, and Support Missions.
Summons basically start with 'ODST Drop' unlocked which summons an orbital drop of an ODST Squad, with every 5 levels dropping another squad. Second Summon is 'Steel Tide' which summons a drop pod deploying 1 armoured vehicle for every 5 levels. Third Summon is 'Mech Support' which drops a single mech for every 10 levels in the skill. She has to get the previous summon spell to a certain level before the next unlocks. Probably level 20 ODST Drop for Steel Tide, and level 40 ODST Drop, 20 Steel Tide for Mech Support.
Support Missions start with 'Fire Mission' unlocked which is basically a summoned artillery strike. Relatively rapidly she unlocks 'Gunship Strike' which summons a gunship to perform an attack run. Then she gets 'Bombers Inbound' which is basically an airstrike. The next spell has high level pre-requisites. It's 'Steel Rain' which is basically an orbital bombardment strike. Yeah. It's as powerful as you think.
Then she reaches her last three spells, and their pre-reqs are nasty. But considering what they are...
First is 'Exterminatus' which is exactly what it sounds like. It requires Tier 5 as well as high level Steel Rain, but comes straight away with Ability: Armageddon(everything in the damage radius is hit, nothing can stop the attack, only weaken it)/Planet Killer/Delayed Strike(Takes 5 turns to hit)/Expensive(Level Costs increased by 5)
Second is 'Nova Warhead'. This is basically the exact same as the previous one, except swapping Ability: Planet Killer for Ability:
Star Break. Requires Tier 10
Finally is 'Singularity Bomb'. It swaps Ability: Star Break for Ability: Galaxy Destroyer. Also requires Tier 20
These three spells are only meant to be able to be unlocked after she's been active for 5 years or something. At least one year if she is at the centre of the frontlines almost all the time, which she's definitely not.
Her abilities is where she is strongest. Only 3 special ones.
Technology Tiers, which costs 10x as much per level for the first 5 levels, when it jumps to x20 until level 10 at which it jumps to x100. Because frankly, at level ten she's overpowered even if she hasn't upgraded anything else. However, each level in this ability upgrades every single one of her things that has either the Warfare or Technology affinity. Tier Level 1 is basically current level gear. Tier 2 has vehicle mounted railguns and basic exoskeletons, Tier 3 has infantry magnetic guns and actual combat exoskeletons. Tier 5? You start getting power armour, energy shields and plasma weapons. Tier 10 basically means everything a well developed galactic power would be thought to have. Tier 20 is basically 'There is no difference between magic and technology because all technology uses magic and all magic uses technology'.
Scientist, which basically means if she sees an example of technology, or magic, she's able to figure out what principles need to be studied to make that thing. In other words, if she sees a Microfusion Reactor, she knows what needs to be studied by scientists to create it. Same with a magical spell, she knows what is needed to cast that spell.
Engineer, the last special one, but when combined with Scientist, the reason she's under the direct control of the Akashic Pillar, rather than Unified Light. This allows her to create and use any magic or technology as long as she has created it from the basic principles. This means that she is effectively an Omni-caster, the only thing is she first has to learn how the spell is cast from the fundamentals, rather than being able to use her affinity to fill in any gaps. That said, once she's learned a fundamental for one spell, she doesn't need to relearn it if it's used for another spell. With technology it means she's able to basically write out blueprints for the technology she knows. It comes with an massive boost to the speed she can learn that sort of thing.
So yeah. I'm having trouble balancing her because I want her to be an Epic growth affinity, but she seems more like a Divinity. That said, she's very much kept behind the lines in the labs when possible because she is such as massive research and development amplifier.
