Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

We'll need how many levels of flight for that? Xp that could be spent on things like Purifier Beam, which when upgraded enough will let us take down Goddess Grey by intercepting her attack. Or Starshine, which can currently take out all the mooks in an army unless someone covers for them.

Though I do have to wonder about getting Flight level 107,900,001 or whatever upgrade would put us above the speed of light. What would that do?
Instead of granting FTL travel, increasing Flight that much upgrades High-Speed Combat to ZA WARUDO :V

I was looking at how Celestial Severance has Unstoppable and hoping that meant it didn't matter if Grey blocked, it would still hit the Seal. Getting damage high enough we could kill it with the double cast, and then moving on to the stuff that is core to us. Frankly, considering the Goddesses stats, and experience, I want a 'FUCK THE SEAL' button if we actively try to free her, or even if we have good odds of running into her... which knowing our 'luck'? Are rather high.

Our bug "fuck the seal" button is Core Purge. Remember how useful Gabriel was against Sega's seal? Core Purge is a way more powerful version of that.

We have one already? It's called Core Purge. With the information on the one time we used Core Purge, we can use that to mock up how using it on a Control Seal would go. Core Purge's base damage is 5% of our current health, and with Gabriel around, it's probably a safe bet that we'll have max health at the start of a fight. As such, the turn would go like this:

Core Purge: 7,500 Base Damage
Control Seal: 500 Base Resilience, no dice, +2,500 Epic Existence, -5,000 Hostile Divinity Exposure = 2,000 Extra Damage

Control Seal: 9,500 Total Damage
Control Seal: 5,000 - 9,500 = -4,500 Health Remaining

Boom, one turn win against Ichi.

Core Purge's base damage is 5% of our current health
No, it lasts for 5 turns and reduces our Health by 5% each turn (and our Resilience is reduced by 25% while it's active). The base damage it deals is equal to (75 * Health Cost) = (75 * 0.05 * Current Health) = 375% of our current health.

Additionally, iirc, the 5% lost per turn readjusts each turn based on our health during that turn, whereas as the damage dealt is based on our health at the time that Core Purge is first activated.

The 5% health cost does not update each turn. It is based on how much HP we had at the start. And it seems that I somehow missed adding the x75 in my explanation. The damage is still correct though. (2000*.05*75=7500)

Out of the shop Items I'd put Supremacy Zone at the top of what's currently available. Mostly because the only other ability we've seen that had multiple prereqs was Indestructible Core and that is badass so Supremacy Zone is likely to be great. Even if the total XP cost is half that of ICore it will still be great because half as awesome as ICore is still cool.

After that I'd like to save XP for Segarite Core but knowing SV's tendencies we'll probably end up grabbing Synchronize first simply because those question marks are just so attractive, even though we have a good idea as to what it provides.
I, personally, want Synchronize because I'm pretty sure it's a prereq for another super ability like ICore.

For all the statements that we're not hitting hard enough...we actually kind of are. We've only been active for 2 weeks, and we've already climbed to the experienced Legend/newish Epic level of damage, and our defenses are in the experienced Epic level. We're fully capable of one-shotting the average demonic footsoldier, and we wipe out demon commanders in a single turn. Enemy Magical Girls need to have either the Epic Affinity, or to be very experienced to stand against us and hope to win. It's just that we keep running into the ludicrously tough/strong girls at the top of the list. Compared to the average MG of any level...we're doing just fine.

Although we really should increase our damage output. Like I said, we keep running into the Top Ten Girls, and our defenses are very good at the moment, so we should spare some XP to bolster our offensive capabilities.

I'd like to take a moment to note that with our 400,600 EHP, we're actually harder to kill than Goddess Gold! She has 224,000 EHP! Well, assuming her Power Negation Ability isn't in play anyway.

Speaking of Negation Abilities, don't forget that Goddess Grey has Unmatched Skill, which lets her use one of her actions to negate someone elses. And considering that one of her spells may infact give her a potentially infinite number of actions...

Yeah, Unstoppable doesn't work if it nevers starts in the first place.

It's a good thing she can't prevent us from core purging, or intercepting every individual attack she can make with that one skill we have.

We're almost at her level! [/optimism]

Her power negation doesn't work on Divinity.

Note, you CAN automiss against opponents moving faster than you can track them. Or at least cede the first shot/be unable to intercept them from allies

I'm curious as to how much flight to do that though

ITT: People wait for others to do simple1 math.

Flight level ~67 070 000 will exceed the speed of light. Each level after the first adds 10 miles per hour, since the speed of light is ~6.706e8 miles per hour the needed level is ~6.706e7 levels in flight. And for the question you didn't ask, that would take about 22.5 Billion Billion EXP to buy (in American Billions).

1: Math may not actually be simple

Edit: @LostDeviljho , Yes.

I actually prefer the long system. It's more elegant IMO. But I acknowledge that the short system is much more popular.

EDIT: So, I'm one of those weird people.

Had thought for a 'Magical Girl'. So far thinking of calling her (Akashic Pillar) Magical Girl Warfare Everlasting

I don't actually know what growth to give her. Or how to stat these out well enough.

Her Affinities are Warfare/Technology/???
Weapon is basically a gun, as well as an exoskeleton unlocked at Tier 2, that becomes full on power armour with enough levels.
Spells come in two branches. Summoning Reinforcements, and Support Missions.
Summons basically start with 'ODST Drop' unlocked which summons an orbital drop of an ODST Squad, with every 5 levels dropping another squad. Second Summon is 'Steel Tide' which summons a drop pod deploying 1 armoured vehicle for every 5 levels. Third Summon is 'Mech Support' which drops a single mech for every 10 levels in the skill. She has to get the previous summon spell to a certain level before the next unlocks. Probably level 20 ODST Drop for Steel Tide, and level 40 ODST Drop, 20 Steel Tide for Mech Support.
Support Missions start with 'Fire Mission' unlocked which is basically a summoned artillery strike. Relatively rapidly she unlocks 'Gunship Strike' which summons a gunship to perform an attack run. Then she gets 'Bombers Inbound' which is basically an airstrike. The next spell has high level pre-requisites. It's 'Steel Rain' which is basically an orbital bombardment strike. Yeah. It's as powerful as you think.

Then she reaches her last three spells, and their pre-reqs are nasty. But considering what they are...
First is 'Exterminatus' which is exactly what it sounds like. It requires Tier 5 as well as high level Steel Rain, but comes straight away with Ability: Armageddon(everything in the damage radius is hit, nothing can stop the attack, only weaken it)/Planet Killer/Delayed Strike(Takes 5 turns to hit)/Expensive(Level Costs increased by 5)
Second is 'Nova Warhead'. This is basically the exact same as the previous one, except swapping Ability: Planet Killer for Ability:
Star Break. Requires Tier 10
Finally is 'Singularity Bomb'. It swaps Ability: Star Break for Ability: Galaxy Destroyer. Also requires Tier 20

These three spells are only meant to be able to be unlocked after she's been active for 5 years or something. At least one year if she is at the centre of the frontlines almost all the time, which she's definitely not.

Her abilities is where she is strongest. Only 3 special ones.
Technology Tiers, which costs 10x as much per level for the first 5 levels, when it jumps to x20 until level 10 at which it jumps to x100. Because frankly, at level ten she's overpowered even if she hasn't upgraded anything else. However, each level in this ability upgrades every single one of her things that has either the Warfare or Technology affinity. Tier Level 1 is basically current level gear. Tier 2 has vehicle mounted railguns and basic exoskeletons, Tier 3 has infantry magnetic guns and actual combat exoskeletons. Tier 5? You start getting power armour, energy shields and plasma weapons. Tier 10 basically means everything a well developed galactic power would be thought to have. Tier 20 is basically 'There is no difference between magic and technology because all technology uses magic and all magic uses technology'.
Scientist, which basically means if she sees an example of technology, or magic, she's able to figure out what principles need to be studied to make that thing. In other words, if she sees a Microfusion Reactor, she knows what needs to be studied by scientists to create it. Same with a magical spell, she knows what is needed to cast that spell.
Engineer, the last special one, but when combined with Scientist, the reason she's under the direct control of the Akashic Pillar, rather than Unified Light. This allows her to create and use any magic or technology as long as she has created it from the basic principles. This means that she is effectively an Omni-caster, the only thing is she first has to learn how the spell is cast from the fundamentals, rather than being able to use her affinity to fill in any gaps. That said, once she's learned a fundamental for one spell, she doesn't need to relearn it if it's used for another spell. With technology it means she's able to basically write out blueprints for the technology she knows. It comes with an massive boost to the speed she can learn that sort of thing.

So yeah. I'm having trouble balancing her because I want her to be an Epic growth affinity, but she seems more like a Divinity. That said, she's very much kept behind the lines in the labs when possible because she is such as massive research and development amplifier.
