Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

Er about the Iron Core...

Let's say we have 100 hp

An attack does 4 dmg, so it's negated entirely.

ALT: Instead, 4<5, so 4-5%?

Or does that mean 6>5, damage passes through no reduction at all?

And this % check and reduction is dealt with BEFORE our DR is checked?

Oh and is Flight Speed always compared to walking / leg Speed?

The Armored Core ability activates after damage calculation.

For example someone swings a total of 29 damage at you.

You resist 25 of that damage as a base. The final 4 damage then is measured against the Armored Core ability.

5% of 100 is 5. So since it doesn't do more than 5 damage, it's outright negated, and you loose nothing.

Lets say the damage done is 31 instead of 29: This ends with six damage done instead.

It passes the 5-damage threshold and is let through, but Armored Core reduces it by 5%.

5% of 6 is 0.3, so rounding down the attack only does 5 damage to you despite getting through the negation.

This help?

I don't think we have melee capability? Do we? If so what?

I thought Celestial Severance was. She's based on Nepgear from the game and I think it was in that... Bah, its been too long.
The blade along the bottom of your weapon is a thing.

You can swing at someone, but since your unskilled in it's use I'd add a -75% modifier to your base damage.

Would you guys like me to add something to denote this? Possibly so you can use XP to reduce it in the future?

Alright looks like Magical Growth is Linear (and it's mechanics are ?!?!?)

BUT ANYWAY... either DR is linear, or it's +2/3rds.

So yeah Celestial Damage is DOUBLING per level.

So far nothing has increased our HP though...

Anyway Celestial will one shot that demon at uh... level 8. We hit the Million mark at level 19.

Of course we'll need to know how each attack works in combat, but for shooting slow big targets, CELESTIAL IS #1 right now.

Celestial Damage compared to the same level of Normal Damage now is uh roughly 4x better, and each level the gap increases between them by 1.75x.

Yeah it does, thanks.

Please. Being able to know just how competent we are with our Energy Bayonet is important, especially since it's our only current means of melee, maybe we could get a sword latter? She did use them in the first game.

Also uh the Iron Shell ability doesn't have a level in the sheet.

We need to unlock or find a health boosting skill / ability / thing.

Edit: Also our weapon damage at level 101...

6.68 * 10^18 = Base Weapon Damage
1.27 * 10^32 = Celestial Weapon Damage

Cost to get to level 100 = 50k xp.

So... how much XP do we get from omakes. (Do we get Rihaku rates :p, we can go see if we can get Priest to do some Art for 50k XP fairly quick :D)

Weapon Damage at the far more reasonable level 10...

BW 648
CS 51200

Cost 420 xp each. So fairly reasonable to get... I think.

I'll add one real quick.

No level? What do you mean? <.< >.> /yousawnothing.jpeg

Varies.

...

Trying to decide weather whether or not to reveal this.

Oh and is Flight Speed always compared to walking / leg Speed?
Only at the moment. Trying to figure out a good way to measure speed per level. Highway speeds near me is 65 to 70 mph.

Might just go with something similar to everything else for simplicity.

So we're weak in melee. So we'd have major problems with grapplers since we can't escape melee....remember to flee if we see tentacles, slimes, snakes and sufficiently large frogs then.

So how is a level of N/A factored into increasing the skill? I mean, suppose we spend XP to increase it to level 1. Would that cost 10 XP as if it was a level 1 skill we were upgrading, or less?

N/A means that levels don't effect it.

In order to cause a change, you'll have to buy an item form the shop that effects the ability.

Shop items can be unlocked from everything between meeting new people, things happening in story, or an interesting enough omake that would logically cause an effect in-story.

Spells come from imagination though, so couldn't those just be tacked on to the shop? I understand needing to find someone to get us started training on a lot of it though at least.

At later levels will be beable to unlock or purchase a new melee weapon?

They're also powered by willpower and belief.

If you can imagine a spell, great. But you have to have the belief that it'll do what you want it to, and the willpower to force it into existence.

The levels and all the numbers represent how much faith and belief you have in something. Experience is simply a representation of your growing belief in your abilities.

Your Affinity will also mutate a given power depending on what the end result is meant to be.

At later levels will be able to unlock or purchase a new melee weapon?
Possibly. Yes.

I'm going to have trouble understanding her issue with that. I've lived with depression for over a decade now. I used to force myself out of bed and just run on determination, since hope was and is hard to come by and dangerous besides for me. I haven't had much issue in quite a few years, but that's because I think I just don't notice it anymore.

Right, so all of that is saying... How do we do that? Because I don't even now where to start. I mean she shoots laser beams and flies already, not to mention Annihilation Beam. Pillars of Light falling from the sky seems meh at that point.

There's a lewd joke to be made here, but I have more than enough shame to only vaguely allewde to it. :V
No. Bad chocolate, no lolicon.

... Would be hilarious if that came up as an in story thing.

Tentacle Minion: "Uhh... Boss? What am I supposed to do with her?"
Boss: "What do you mean "What am I supposed to do?" She's a magical girl, what do you think?"
Tentacle Minion: "She's, uhh... *Whispers* She's underage boss."
Boss: "What!? ... Well, fu-err-fudge."

The boss's reaction should have been something along the lines of that he meant killing her, and what does her age have to do with that. That would have been better, if only for the deliciousness of poor squidminion's awkwardness.

[X] Look around the base. There might be other Magical Girls here you don't know about.
[X] Team Gear

[X]Exp plan: Better safe then sorry
-[X] Buy: Purifier beam:extension, flight boost, armored core: Iron
-[X] Increase flight level to 3, Purifier Beam level to 3,celestial severance to 3, increase solid core to level 2

Right I forgot to vote.
Isn't Belief another way of saying 'Faith'...
So then if people have 'Faith' in our victory like they do for Red Rose or Goddess Gold... does that mean... more XP?
XP is a possible simple use why not have a spell powered by people's faith in Nepgear? Which would pretty much be the DBZ spirit bomb now that I think about it.

Alternatively make a multipurpose spell restricted by what other people believe you can do not your own belief. It isn't something possible early in a career, but once Nepgear becomes famous humanities ability to spread gossip, and spread rumors of questionable truth should do most of the work.
