On one hand the PoA is likely to have additional complications that might be difficult to extract ourselves from, on the other Sothoryos really should not be bumped off the schedule yet again. Tricky situation, we also don't know how long Sothoryos will take so switching the schedule to just get it done first is a bit dubious.

You could move the Plane of Air up since it does not look like you need to urgently be in Volantis right now.

Wow, just wow. These last few chapters have really left me on the edge of my seat. Well done @DragonParadox , well done. The tension was riveting and the social combat more exciting than an epic encounter. Props to @Azel of course (and @Crake !), but also a huge nod to @Snowfire , that last line with Aegon I was just pure, rhetorical brilliance. It had a touch of genius in there, something mythical and historical. A worthy quote to seal a turning point in Imperium history and doubtlessly one who will leak in time and become a common knowledge 'national urban myth/legend' of Imperial Volantis.

Awesome transition too, you could feel how Zhaerys gently and smoothly accomodated into second place for the first time. Pure guy is still kind of awkward, trying and shifting to feel out the spot. We'll need to help him.

Surprised Zhaerys didn't press for more concessions, though I suppose the meat of it will come later, administrative stuff and such. For example he still does not know if we'd give Volantis to him only or to his House to be as well. Governor or inhereted seat? Pretty important question.

The most important thing right now is to really go overboard with our aid. Gear, potions, PC's, contacts, full viserys days, the works. Zhaerys has finally caved in, and he'll give us Volantis on a silver platter. That's worth a lot. We really need to show him the full Viserys Packet, dangle a few and give him others, as well as leave a few hints. We've sold the car, now he has to see what that sweet engine sounds in practice...

I can't check the turn plan from my phone, so I can't shuffle, but we definitely can't let Zherys hang with whoever is available.

We have to prove to him why he should be our subordinate, or he will consider all we hashed out a shitty deal and he will betray us.

Given that Meraxes was present for that Level 15th vision, and IC we are aware of some of what went on there, we will know if she is being a straight shooter with us if she treats us like we actually know some of what's going on.

Yes, I believe as an ancient deity she has a really good chance of sneaking a lie past us, but what will be dangerous is her telling us the truth, as in, the accurate account, but aimed to bias us to perceive it in a certain manner.

If that happens, we have to ignore any emotional, ethical or moral components to what she says and focus purely on the actual facts so we can form our own opinion as appropriate.

@Azel If Zherys objects, I feel as though it is worth pointing out in the vote to him that if we go forward with any plan without accounting for Benerro, he may become a factor which throws half the plan out of whack regardless by acting without being filled in on relevant details, or part of a pending agreement for how the aftermath will shake out. And we know he isn't blind to the future either, no more than Zherys or Viserys are, since he has plenty of access to divination too.

Viserys has the strong impression that Zherys plans to live forever rendering inheritance moot.

[X] Ask Zherys where our intervention might prove the most advantageous to his cause without risking his plans.
-[X] Offer the service of our more stealth inclined companions, as well as the direct support of those not so easy recognizable.
-[X] Ask for information about Meraxes and her cult, should she prove amenable to our goals, we would like to have a chat with her echo.
-[X] Ask for access to those of the Mysterium he trusts to keep our relationship a secret, we may have need of their particular talents.

I think this one is decided with people now, for some insane reason, trying to waffle around with the necromancer. Who, I might add, has nothing of value to offer us.

[X] Azel

Maybe we should be careful about having Garin be too close to Benerro? Doesn't he still owe the Red God some sort of favour?

Fabricate Disguise
Level 1, Instantaneous, non-magical disguise.
Perfect for our minions and could cheaply and effectively be made into an at-will item because caster level doesn't matter.

How upset will the Faceless Men be about us stealing their schtick?

This is pretty damn cool for the little'uns but really there's no reason for the main party not to have it either.

-[X] Talk with Benerro to deploy the Fiery Hand, both to keep order and to make sure no demons slip by and start to fester in the slums. Zherys troops are too few to cover the whole city and the alliance of convenience will aid his narrative of having to nake hard choices in the face of a horrible threat.

It's naive to think we're going to avoid that being called at an inopportune moment. My best bet is that Garin will be asked for something not too onerous but still with the possibility of inconvenience depending on how we take it.

The alternative is to blatantly leverage the threat of pressing on that favor owed, implicitly to use our concern of our friend against us. And that's not a thing you want to escalate to against a dragon without cause, motive or means to escape or weather reprisal.
