Spirited diplomacy that starts off with trying to vaporize one of the less "valuable" people in the room?

Unfortunately, you can't out gunboat diplomacy a dragon. There's more "gun" than there is much in the way of "diplomacy".

If we can make it who should we give the item too?
Our only archer currently is Theon, and the archer Arcanum Aradia is yet to be built. And Aradia is due to get a dragonbone bow (for thematic purposes of Dragon's daughter and all that, and for the fact that the material gives the absolute best range), so I guess Theon? That, or we sell the bow if we manage to make it.

Part MDXCIX: Lord of the Wild
Lord of the Wild

Twelfth Day of the Twelfth Month 292 AC

The brief disorientation of translocation gives way to far deeper confusion, then anger as you see Bronn battling a lithe-horned figure in green, an archer of the hunt, a creature of the Lord of the Wild. There in the midst of battle you remember that which you had never truly known, the nature of the creature Renly Baratheon must have dealt with, yet you barely hear the voice of ancient dreams, your eyes fixed upon the battle before you.

Lya flings herself forward, a small glass bottle in her left hand to trap the foe within, while Dany calls out a spell to tangle fate. Alas the luck of the fey lord holds, as he tumbles back from Bronn's reaching blade with boneless grace, an arrow already in one hand, the great vine bow in the other.

The arrow wreathed in balefire flies directly at Lya and you know with utter certainty that it will strike... yet time is yours to master if only for a moment. Between one instant and the next you are beside her, vast ethereal wings rising to shield you both. The room rings with a dissonant bell-like sounds as the arrow shatters.

"What the hells is that thing?" you call, just as time crashes over you and you feel your limbs become leaden.

"The one our host learned his secrets from," Lya answers, her hands already beginning to move in the patterns of another spell.

"Cunting Grumpkin!" Bronn shouts as he charges the fey lord from behind, common steel against ensorcerelled armor, yet still somehow he pries open some of the leaf-like scales. Blood bright as spring flowers flies and splatters through the room, through which Dany dives on silvered wings... hissing words of endings, of death.

With a half-bestial roar the fey lord casts off that spell also, eyes blazing with cold green fire. "I have... no... quarrel with you... mortals," he gasps. "Move aside and let me kill the traitor."

What do you do?

OOC: Lya could very well have died from that slay living-infused arrow so I decided that Viserys would be better placed defending her.

Ok, trying to kill Lya with that arrow made this personal. I hope this fey enjoys having his very essence torn apart and harvested for anything remotely useful. I wouldn't mind feeding him to Glyra if she still could level up by consuming things.

I'm not giving up our fey inn, and I still want those grafts.

Also, good god. Imagine what Bronn could do with a magical blade.

I said it months ago, when nobody but me wanted to kill him. If we kept him, we should also equip him properly, but too many people wanted to be cheapskates. He could have already had a Valyrian Steel sword, or at least one of our lesser enchanted weapons.

Hey, I wanted to equip him. It was the rest of the thread that was against just giving him a Valyrian Steel sword.

But right now, we have the perfect sword just waiting for him. We just need to figure out what the hell it does.

So, the guy is making his saves like it's nothing so far.

I would suggest Feeblemind from Lya and Imperious Glare from Viserys I guess?

Maybe start with Quickened Agonising Firedarts to lower those saves a bit.

Here's Alysande's spell list. She casts like a wizard:

0th -- Acid Splash, Arcane Mark, Dancing Lights,Detect Magic,Disrupt Undead, Flare, Ghost Sound, Light, Mage Hand, Mending, Message, Open/Close, Prestidigitation, Resistance, Touch of Fatigue.
1st --Charm Person, Erase, Grease, Obscuring Mist, True Strike, Alarm, Cheat, Detect Undead, Hail of Stone
2nd -- Detect Thoughts, Invisibility, Knock, Mirror Image, Fox's Cunning, Scorching Ray, Web, Rebuke, Sun Bolt
3rd -- Hold Person, Magic Circle against Evil, Slow, Tongues, Blink, Dispel Magic
4th -- Black Tentacles, Fear

No one, just him.

It has very high Will (+19) and Reflex (+22) saves and its Touch AC (24) is stupid. Best bet here is going after its Fortitude (+12) or using spells that don't allow saves.

Or common Reinforced Segmented armour.

[X] Quickened Agonizing Fire Darts -> Baleful Polymorph -> Celerity -> Baleful Polynorph

He has the reflex and will saves a Balor, so let's not even try.

At least he isn't with his horse.

[X] Plan "We have a quarrel now!"
-[X] Viserys delays his action to save someone with Celerity + WoC if he fires another arrow with Slay Living. If he doesn't, Baleful Polymorph.
-[X] Dany uses Reached Slay Living.
-[X] Lya uses a Great Thunderclap if she can prevent friendly fire, otherwise Ennervation.

No one, just him.
Where did she get those?

Some could be from Lya's teaching and a bit from Garin's Kikimora he left home, but I'm not sure how she would have gotten Viserys' level 4 spells.

Fully with you here.
I also wanted him dead, but if not then well equipped.

This will give us an opportunity to revisit the issue.
