Ah doh. Dany can teleport small objects. I thought you were talking about Dream Travel (or killing him in his dreams).
She has to Dream Travel, but she can basically go straight to him for an idea and then for one more leave the poison.
Unless he is specifically warded against dream-access (something we don't know how to do or if even possible) it should be easy.

Couldnt we have given him a strong sedative? Something to ease the pain, so the city can watch him die and he gets a painless death.
Well, we did not specify what kind of poison we are giving him....

He should only be getting 24 Temp HP from Heart of Earth. I think he should be getting a 3rd and 4th level bonus spell slot, too. In base form, I mean. Not sure about Draconic forms.
Our CL is 13. Just a new 2nd and 3rd, with a new 4th on HD form.

2nd was curiously already accounted for.

It's also a requirement for that tattoo guardian you were looking at. I agree it isn't bad, particularly since Lya will pretty much always have paper on hand anyway.

Anyway, looking through domains for Yss. My best guess is: Scalykind (or maybe Serpent), Death, Renewal and then due to our influence Travel (trade subdomain) and Prophecy.

The buffs are on Dany's character sheet so I'll remember they are linked to her presence.
Oh, alright then. They do last 2 days, tho, so anyone on a short mission should still benefit.

Still, Viserys' needed his HP and Save DCs and Saves some skills adjusted. His attack on LHD should also be +14/+9/+9.

Also, I forgot to consider Spellcasting Prodigy. He has an extra 4th level slot in his base form, and an extra 5th level slot in his HD forms, instead of an extra 4th in HD form.

Waymar's base saves should be 9/3/9. His damage should similarly be 1d10+11+2d6.

Still, these are relevant, IMO:
Name: Daenerys TargaryenHP: 75/75 + 22 Temporary (Heart of Earth)

Name: Lya
HP: 34/34 + 16 Temporary (Heart of Earth)
AC: 10 +4 (Mage Armor) + 2 Deflection + 3 Barkskin = 19
Attack: 5 (BAB)

Combat Arcane load-out(Caster level 10):

Level 0 (4): Detect Magic, Light, No light, Prestidigitation
Level 1 (6) : Mage Armor, Enlarge Person, Power Word Pain, Magic Missile x2, Free Slot (UF)
Level 2 (6): Glitterdust x2, Mirror Image x2, Free Slot (UF)
Level 3 (5): Fireball, Dispel Magic, Great Thunderclap, Free Slot (UF)
Level 4 (4): Enervation, Free Slot (UF) x2
Level 5 (3): [???] x2

Combat Divine Load-out(Caster level 8):

Level 0 (4): Light x2, No Light x2
Level 1 (7): Bless x2, Detect Evil, Command, Sunstroke, Calm animals
Level 2 (6): Barkskin x3, Silence, Lesser Restoration,
Level 3 (6): Heart of Water, Call Lightning x2, Free Slot (UF)
Level 4 (4): [???] x3

Name: Vee
AC: 10 + 2 (DEX) + 5 (Mtw Chainmail) +3 (Shield of Faith) +4 Barkskin = 24

Part MCCXLV: Poisonous Plans
Poisonous Plans

Twenty-Second Day of the Eight Month 292 AC

You would like to believe that you are not the sort of man that would let a daughter know her father was condemned to a torturous death for the sake of gold and trinkets. Alas that is not so, though you take comfort in the fact that it is not greed alone that drives you. To seem weak before Zherys even as you help him ascend higher on the ranks of Volantis' magisters seems unwise, and so does presenting the notion that Hermetia holds some special sway with you. You doubt he would account it kindness for its own sake so you slowly nod, not daring to look into the young woman's eyes... or those of your companions.

For all that you are not a saint, you are not a monster either. As soon as you are back upon familiar shores, you hope beyond Zherys' ability to overhear you, you explain your plan to grant the old man relief from torment yourselves, breaking the spirit if not the letter of your agreement with Zherys. Your alliance has all but outlived its usefulness after all.

You are unsure how to feel about the congratulations from Glyra on your cunning, but the sheer relief in Hermetia's voice is a balm to your spirit. Ser Richard looks displeased by the notion that Dany should dare the perils of the Dream for the sake of a madman doomed to die (a fact which sits ill with you also, though you know she would dismiss the peril). Maelor who seems approving of risk and trickery both while Vee is mostly indifferent, having long since counted Morono Nephaerys an enemy.

***

"I would rather be poisoning Zherys," Dany grumbles as you enter Tyene's room to obtain the needed poison. Your sister is understandable disgusted at the notion of torturous executions as entertainment, no matter who should meet that fate. Her next words, however, startle you. "They should at least give him a weapon and a chance to win freedom if they are going to make a spectacle of it, like a Trial by Combat."

Seeing your expression, she continues, "I am not one to imagine that savagery does not live in men's hearts, but the best way to tame it is to make its satisfaction hinge upon a risk they would find unacceptable. Cold calculation is sadly more common than compassion."

You had never quite looked at the notion of Trial by Combat like that before. "Perhaps I should make you Mistress of Laws after all," you jest to lighten the mood.

What poison to you have Dany carry to Morono Nephaerys?

[] Alchemist's fire, not technically a poison though it would be the most in line with Zherys' planed excuse that it is the wrath of Ymeri thus incurring the least ire for your trickery. On the other hand it is merely less painful then the execution planned, not painless.

[] Foxglove, it can imitate a heart attack as far as mundane healers are concerned, though arcane means could well divine the truth

[] Concentrated milk of poppy, enough that he will not feel the torment of "excruciation", though he will also not act like a man in torment

OOC: I also have an out-of-character question for you guys: Do you want to actually see the trial to get a better idea of Volantine culture and politics, or do you want to skip it?

[x] Concentrated milk of poppy, enough that he will not feel the torment of "excruciation", though he will also not act like a man in torment
-[X] Advise him to act like a man struggling to maintain a strong face against torture, so that it may further the goals of his faction.

I would like to see the trial

I'd like to see it.

i too would like to see the trial.
i am torn between this and having Dany kill him painlessly and then burn the body with the alchemist's fire.

Let's see if that gets the Elephants angry...

Any reason we cannot go with poppy and alchemists fire? Drink the poppy, wait for the effect to set in, then use the fire.

This is a neat way to accomplish our goal, in that the victim is an old man, feeble of mind and body, with only a torturous death to look forward to. Much better men have died of heart failure for a lesser reason than that.

Hmmm, Zherys will know it's us but he wont want to reveal it, because he'll still want our support in his bid for Tiger leadership. An old man's heart giving out in the face of gruesome execution isn't that surprising, and since the Mysterium wouldn't want to reveal he was poisoned, it probably has the best chance of passing unmentioned.

Zherys will likely not work as hard to get Hermetia as good of a deal, but he'll still need to try somewhat if he wants our backing, as per agreed, and wont be able to openly retaliate.

I'm pretty sure the execution will happen after the trial, so the heritage-question should be a finished deal by then.

Edit: It's more about how mad we'll make Zherys after he understands what we played.
