@Azel can we also add a bit about having Teana introduce a "How to deal with classified info" seminar?
I'm currently considering if people working in Gogossos strictly need to have independent thoughts, head researchers excluded.

The entire staff should be replaced by flesh forged creatures and undead, with clear orders to turn any trespasser into something that has the consistency of salsa.

Keep in mind you are also talking to the fey whose defenses weathered said divine smiting and are currently throwing a feast in honor of your emissaries.
How badly were they hurt anyway? The description says most of the court survived, but that could mean anything from "mostly unharmed" to 49% casualties. They seem surprisingly untouched for people who just ate the wrath of a god juicing on demon steroids, even with the super wards.

[X] "Let us assume we're not idiots. If you are that invested in our security procedures, you could start as you mean to go on and share not only intelligence from your own sources of possible vectors for imminent attack, but also your own methods to secure your minds against subversion from Far Spawn taint."
-[X] "You are not arguing from a position of power, nor do you actually know what means we have access to or the lengths we have gone through to secure our research. If you do not take active part in alleviating your own concerns in regards to whether or not our realm can stem the tide of Those Below, whether it come to us in the form of armies of flesh forged horrors or via infiltration, we will be waiting centuries. We are not Fey, just as you are not mortal. We have succeeded against foes where you would likely have failed."
--[X] Aside from not underestimating us, we would like them to seriously consider the notion that if they are invested in a world that isn't taken over by farspawn, they are better served by swiftly placing themselves at our disposal where their council might have our ear directly bent to them, rather than kept at arms length and increasingly belaboring the point of these negotiations: Viserys isn't fucking around, and he's calling every bluff.

Yah, we may want all of the people who to special research go into an opsec seminar. That and we may want to get the people who were on that project a visit form the inquisition.

Divinations say they had minimal casualties. It's difficult to get hard numbers out of riddles and poetry

Anyway, good night guys see you tomorrow as we deal with the Violet Court or what's left of it.

The core problem was likely not anyone working in Gogossos proper though.

If I recall correctly, the security breach got, for some reason, escalated to the regular ass garrison of the local colony and Salladhor Saan.

Sigh, I really hope they actually do have knowledge worth bothering over. It seems like we could take some basic precautions about operational security and be about as secure as we're ever going to get.

If not, I fully intend to make that an argument for why they should maybe switch from the high horse to a small pony the next time we talk with them.

That is because the Forge errs on the side of going loud when it has a breach, based on legacy security from the valyrians. That can be changed if you guys like.

I am in favor of limiting general access to the Forge and making it borderline impossible to extract intelligence from a failure-fault at the hands of someone with loose lips.

While it would greatly slow research to give up Scholarum bonuses, that's probably why the Planar powers aren't constantly innovating. Incremental returns when you can only trust a select number of specialist experts to a research topic, maybe no one trusting each other with their own research, and even when they finish it they only share it with a couple of people they're forced to.

Do we really care about this sort of breach?
So they know there was an issue, but they don't know what's actually going on inside. That shows vulnerability and is bad PR, but it doesn't actually leak tech or weaknesses against an attack.

Most of our outward facing diplomatic strength is based on theatrics. Letting people be theatrical at us is not only irritating, but it makes it less impactful when we try it.

I think we need to start making more extensive use of Whisper Safes. They basically let you track the number and general demographics of the people who know a particular piece of information. We load them up with keywords and similar tags for our projects, and then we can passively monitor who's learning it instead of needing to use constant blind divination.

We should also consider just making something based on the memory moss to remove information from people while they're off site. They can just deal with needing to eat moss in the mornings to remember where they left off.
