Edits done, she is still wounded, but not falling to earth unconscious.
Demivagga: *pulls off an excellent ambush*
Teana: *Puffs Naruto clone-style*
Demivagga:
We are become Aberi, the destroyer of morale.God if I was fighting this group I would be absolutely done with it all. This is just wow. I don't even know where to begin with all this.
Probably worried we're going to give you ideas...Jesus fuck. Whenever I mention stuff in this quest to my DM he just sighs and side eyes me. And poor squishy Teana lol.
There's sufficiently prepared and sufficiently paranoid. We're kinda horrible to DP in how much shit we dig up from 3.5/Pathfinder.
And he's kinda horrible to himself in how much of the shit we dug up he allowed to stack at once.
We're near-impervious to any encounter that isn't 2+ CRs higher than the group's.
Also it's ironic you forgot Teana's ability to escape death as a core class-feature, considering she had a whole character progression which mentioned how she was scared of death due to being understandably traumatized by having a horrible afterlife hanging over her neck like a Blade of Damocles for so long, that even without the threat of that any longer she's still a little reluctant to go adventuring.Edits done, she is still wounded, but not falling to earth unconscious.
Even with those restrictions, people would have still found ways to optimize. I think if your D&D players want to optimize, and you can account for that just by pulling out different encounters, you should probably just let them. It's a problem if they expect you to do additional work, but @Goldfish does all of the boring stuff already, and the internet makes it easy to reference non-standard material. In hindsight I think DP should have limited a lot of things 3 or 4 years back.
Number of effects on one item, no slotless items, permanancy limited to a handful spells, stuff like that.
But he didn't and we are still having fun, so that's fine.
Or it could just simply be the straight forward answer. We have been operating in the shadows for months, sending only competent people who have not been showing off and have not been really picking fights that weren't ambushes of isolated infernal agents.Back on topic, I'm still not sure what the plan is here.
This is a nice crew, enough to kill some people, but certainly not our current party.
Even if the Deimavigga is souped up, it's not enough.
These devils shouls have run or called for greater reinforcement when we showed off Timestop, so either there is a plan going on, or they are expecting even more Devils (maybe from the other cities, or they all massivly failed their WIS-rolls.
I'm not saying they have to recognise us, seeing a Time Stop is propably enough.Or it could just simply be the straight forward answer. This is outside of our usual MO.
@Goldfish, is it possible to do this without also stripping Garin of his buffs? And is it worth taking the time to do it when we could focus everything on the Deimavigga? As a Swift Action, Viserys casts a Targeted Greater Dispel Magic on Garin to specifically Dispel the Dimensional Anchor effect on him.
Viserys' Time Stop wasn't necessarily obvious as a Time Stop spell. Her cast it as a Swift Action and theatrically slammed his staff into the ground. From the Devils' POV, after that all that happened were five Demons immediately appearing. It probably looks more like he Summoned them, which is admittedly still quite impressive.Back on topic, I'm still not sure what the plan is here.

Is the Deimavigga even in sight?
It looks like he just used his BOundless Reach to attack and did not yet show himself.
@DragonParadox, would it be possible to Time Stop and search the area in depth until we find him?It is indeed not in sight, it's just pocking a spear out of thin air
Yes, a Targeted Dispel Magic can be used against a specific spell effect without stripping all of them.@Goldfish, is it possible to do this without also stripping Garin of his buffs? And is it worth taking the time to do it when we could focus everything on the Deimavigga?

Ah, damn. Forgot about that in my rush to murder. Okay, editing plan.Is the Deimavigga even in sight?

I guess I more meant that the straight forward answer is they didn't have a stronger response prepared, possibly because this group decided we were a distraction two rounds ago when we flipped the board with those twin Chain Dispels.I'm not saying they have to recognise us, seeing a Time Stop is propably enough.
There are not many 9th circle mages and it's unlikely any of them would travel with a weak party.
