He rules over a slice of a slice of infinity. I don't think that all of Erebus obeys him. There must be unaffiliated devils and wild lands even there.

Otherwise we would simply beat the game if Asmodeus offers us his place (yes, I think that it can happen eventually)
A slice of a slice of infinity is still functionally infinity when compared to Prime Material. Still, that means plenty of potential recruits for us to tempt away.

Mother Earth has a grand total of one baby cleric and zero temples currently being built. Not sure when Zathir's temple is built, though.

According to this month's MAs, Zethir gets himself temples on PoA, PoE, and maybe PoW with our backing.
In SD... I dunno, did we vote on making him one? @Duesal?

Mother Earth has no temple being built b/c she has next to no worshippers. WE kinda wanted to slowly include her in, and have the fertile-earth-ritual adding up to her protfolio - but that kinda went nowhere for now.

Part MMMCCCLXXXV: A Gift of Flame and Shadow
A Gift of Flame and Shadow

Nineteenth Day of the Twelfth Month 293 AC

The efreeti captains did not know much of note to you: patrol routes, petty intrigues of the Sultan's fleet and a few incidental smuggling that might perhaps have been useful for Maelor to know about. Once all is in readiness you motion to Melisandre to lead them away. As she would be the one to make the sacrifice it is only right for her to choose the place, though you would watch. Lya also joins you, curious to see the hand of the Lord of Light at work and what blessings he might grant. Somewhat to your surprise so does Garin with a wary nod to the red priestess. "I would know more of the one to whom I made a vow years ago," he explains shortly.

For her part Melisandre does not seem surprised, nor particularly displeased at his wary manner. As the four of you link hands to translocate she offers a faint smile. "There are books you could read you know. The library has quite a fair colection, Volantene unless I am much mistaken?"

"A gift from Flame Keeper Benerro," Lya confirms. She had read quite a few of them in preparation for studying the Light of Creation you recall. "What did you know them by, my lady?"

"They are all most verbose in commentary," she replies, her smile growing into something brighter, her expression open if only for the blink of an eye. She seems relieved.

***

The priestess bids you to travel not onto some grand altar in Tyrosh, Myr or Volantis where your presence at her side might serve to move the faithful, but to the small altar in her chambers. Flame burns bright and unwavering upon blood red stone, yet from the corner of your eye you see the shadows in the chamber dance as though in a candle's flickering light.

As she motions for the first bound genie to step in front of it you hand her the rest of the sacrifice you draw from your cloak, a complementary offering. Wight's axes from the Wall and a cursed lord's chain of frost kissed bronze. From the careful way she reaches for them you have no doubt she knows these things for the tools of her patron's greatest foe. What you did not expect is that she recognizes one part of them in a more immediate manner. "Lady Valaena wanted to claim those for a memento of her first true victory, but she will not regret the use they shall be put to tonight I suspect."

"While I am hardly one to deny the worth of trophies there are better ways to make them than claiming a weapon one has no skill in and less interest in mastering," you point out, handing the axe to the first sacrifice.

"Indeed," the priestess nods gravely then turns to the sacrifice. "Know that in death you will serve the True Flame of the world, not the foulness that swells at the heart of your tarnished city." With these words she pushes the captain physically into the altar flame.

The stone upon her throat flashes blood red and so too does the fire, you feel its power upon your skin as hot as your breath and more. Enough to burn even those of fire born in an instant, though the screams seem to linger a moment longer than the sacrifice. The second sacrifice goes into the fire empty-handed, the third carries another axe for symmetry, but still the song of fire has yet to reach its peak. Wrapping the frost-kissed chain around the last captive's chest Melisandre draws a dagger of dragonglass black as midnight's shadows from her robes and stabs through the cursed chain, snapping a link, and into the genie's heart, though the light had not quite left his eyes as he is cast into the flames.

Her hand still wet with scalding blood the priestess stares into the flame for a moment, before nodding once in deep reverence, but also you think in satisfaction.

She is not the one to break the silence that follows, but Garin. "I... Thank you, my lady." You realize what most likely happened a moment before he explains. "She asked the Lord of Light that I be released from the vow I made in Lys and he agreed."

"You are most welcome, Lord Drekelis," Melisandre replies graciously. "It occurred to me that a man in your poositon could ill afford such a promise hanging over his head, no matter the source."

What do you say?

OOC: This is a pretty important moment in Viserys's relation to Melisandre so I thought I would let you guys have an open vote for once.

didn't we tell her baby cleric to write down the comandmends of the earth mother and also build a temple for her?
Yeah, but tiny as the religion is that won't be much more than a shrine for a while.

Edit:

Well holy shit. That's some excellent forethought on Melisandre's part.

Thank you, @Azel.

I had, and have, little interest in the Gelugon either way.

But!
We are going to have a lot of Devils we'd want to try to flip once we finish our research action.
I'd really rather to deal with them all at once, Gelugon included.
