The way the staff works is we already need a piece of the person in question to target them at all. As such we already have the means to bypass their mind blanks. See what we did to Varys the Spider.

Doubt that would fly. Creating an item that just needs a little divine empowerment to nullify MB means all other factions could do so, too.

True but both of those are more lightly linked to Tiamat, there is no guarantee they will start cults, much less that they will have great success doing so
Not really no, for all familiars start as an aspect of the mage's soul and mind imprinted on another being they become ever more distinct as the bond progresses.

Yeah, it's always required a body part. For Varys we used the piece of skin he put in his simulacrum.
This is more about cleaning up loose ends than anything else. It's already annoying that these guys managed to escape us.
As an aside, while I was looking for stuff to protect from Tiamat's soul voodoo I found some mindblank alternatives we could use for lower level people who still need to know sensitive information.
False Future and False Vision
Neither is perfect, but we often act as if it's mindblank or bust for lower level people. False vision as a standard feature for government locations adds another barrier to entry for magical creatures and PCs who want to mess around with the Imperium, and False Future should be somewhat cheaper and easier to get items for than mindblank.
Even if our major enemies can get through, making things difficult for their version of the hall of mirrors would still be useful to us. They'll need to allocate the time of more powerful (and therefore busy) people to the task or run the risk of a failed will save by an office drone screwing a critical operation.

I don't think it's worthwhile to use this sacrifice to recharge the Staff of Ages, @Goldfish. We just got an upgrade to the staff that allows us to charge it independent of Yss, so we can just toss a random cultist to it.
I think we'd be better off asking Yss to help us hunt down the lingering remnants of the cult. We could get those dragons, for example.

Feed Aegon and the clerics to Yss and ask for a Chromatic Librarian Hydra, or upgrade Tor 2.0's snake form as a shadow Yuanti Anathema. With Aegon's knowledge, like what we did Varys and Tor.

I don't care about satisfying. If I did I would have voted for the dumb choice of having a one-liner to declare f!Aegon a Blackfyre in the middle of the fight.
All I care about is annihilating the ones that got away so that Tiamat has even fewer potential tools to work with.

I've updated my plan to go after Mind Blank'd GC survivors. We shouldn't assume all the Mind Blanks were granted by Tiamat or made in house.
