It's not about being humane, but about being inhumane needlessly. It is well within our means to accomplish quite a lot without crossing that line. Harvesting grafts, however, requires straight up bloodletting and harvesting of organs, so we do that because it cannot be avoided.We're well past avoiding things simply for being inhumane.
We engage in copious amounts of blood sacrifice to the point of industrializing some of the processes. We harvest grafts from fiends who happen to be sentient. We turn people into books if they have intel we need.
I don't mind going different directions for the sake of efficiency, but arguing against inhumane practices is chasing a train that's long since left the station, especially given that a good portion of our anti Deep Ones research is going to involve taking them apart.
Still, it's a topic that doesn't really need further discussion and will only lead to another debate on morals or ethics, so for the love of all that is practical and pragmatic, can y'all please not rehash this crap again?
