[X] Try to forge an alliance against the Deep Ones

I think I'll go for this one.
If we get the force against the squids to the critical mass that we can attack them everywhere at once, maybe even in Nirvana, we also shake free a much larger force of Gith to further support us.

We are planning to wipe them from the entire plane, can't be stingy on that.

So uh, I keep seeing mention of how massive the Moonchaser is, but it says he is seventy meters long? Granted, that's a big ship, but actually about the size of the Queen Rhaella?

We can (and likely will) try to settle an all-marid pact against Efreeti in the coming months.

We'll be doing that with official representatives from Shaitan and Djinn though, and we'd better really get some trade houses on our side beforehand.

Defensive pact... kinda ties us too closely to them, imo.
We only came here to get forces agaisnt illithids.
Why have them risk people agaisnt, say, Asmodeus?
Why have us risk our schedule if something attacks them out of the blue?

So then would you propose that we just formalize a non-aggression pact instead?

I guess it's the difference between seeing a large wooden ship float in the ocean, which wood does naturally enough, and an enormous mass of metal hang in midair without any obvious means to do so?

That said, you're right about it's size compared to Balerion. It's big,but it ain't 10 Balerions big.

Huhm, I guess Garin resents having to look at the people ordered to death from afar. Though anyone utterly incapable of slotting into the Legion would basically be people who committed worse crimes and in worse circumstances than most sellswords, of which we have a fair few in our Legion already.

These aren't people we want in our military, and if we could just give them the boot (we kill them specifically because we're targeting officers, and they control the companies of mercenaries) we probably would have. Otherwise odds are good they'd be selling their swords to Norvos next.

Though I won't pretend that makes us saints, we wanted the extra manpower, not to prevent more atrocities. Never claimed we were saints... and I guess Garin thinks the same thing, considering he thought hating himself was more reasonable than hating Oberyn (who we know is kind of an ass). :V
