Hmm that is fair. In that case would a bio-construct with a Baleful Polymorph SLA be better then? With items it is hard to increase DC saves but with bio-constructs it would be easier no?

Some sort of small, unthinking, construct or bio-construct could perhaps serve as a platform, yes. Though other things are currently slated to be researched. Perhaps write up an action and tag @egoo?

That's not the only problem. The problem is the Seven and the Old Gods have millennia of bad blood between them thanks to the Andals brutally invading Westeros, chopping down weirwoods, slaughtering Children of the Forest wherever they found them, etc. And the Old Gods retaliated in kind, and the Seven aren't exactly thrilled about blood magic.

There are bigger concerns, and it would be ideal if they just came to an accord, but it's not as simple as the Seven acknowledging that they're not as supreme as they like to preach.
Also

"the thread turns into a toxic nightmare hellscape when we interact with them."

Edit:
@One Autumn Leaf did we book him? If so good. Keep him that way forever.

So I have this stupid idea that I can't get out of my head I wanted to get the threads opinion on, just so it'll leave me alone.

The inevitable forge is busted right? There are no natural order police running around and axis(?) presumably can't replace the facility or repair it.

We have both war forged and the ability to toss up new fungus forces with help from the old gods. Could we design biomechanical constructs that fill the role of inevitable law enforcement, then go to the organization that fielded them and negotiate to become their new provider?

We could set up a deal in which we own and operate the forge in exchange for the HD required to build the constructs they want plus some percentage for our own use. We'd get exotic creatures to draw templates from, HD to build things, and influence over extraplanar law enforcement. If we can build a shit ton of them and get them up to max capacity we could become really important in the grand scheme of things. That kind of influence allows for a lot of opportunities.

Bonus; the sheer scope of the problems facing the cosmos and hunt now means they'll likely get shipped to the true problem zones in the outer planes. It'd directly help with that problem, and we wouldn't have to deal with them messing with us.
Not a stupid idea at all, dude, but playing extraplanar police is a bit ambitious, even for us. Even supplying the replacement Inevitables would be a huge undertaking, probably on par with creating the Imperial quasi-deity, and it would paint a massive target on our back. Right now we have lots of powerful enemies, but this would get us all of them.

In the relatively short term, I would like to get a chance for our people to study the remains of the Inevitable Forge. If it could have been repaired, it would have been done at some point in the past several thousand years, so I don't have any hope of doing it ourselves. We could learn more about mass production of Constructs, however, or even just glean some insights that would help us improve our own.

We can probably do it once Lya is at MR 10, but it would have to be after the Efreeti are dealt with. I don't see us getting anywhere close to this until our two major allies are freed up and ready to back us up in different fights.

Unfortunately it involves practices that would make even Malarys and Zherys recoil in disgust. It involves the sacrifice of his Ifrit children bred specifically for the task.
Well...that's impressively horrific... :o

Valyrians: We make Bio-Construct war machines from the unborn fetuses of our human slaves.

Efreeti: Meh. Come back when you've been breeding your own bastard children for ritual reagents.

Valyrians: You win this round.

I am thinking more using a creature that already exists and adding the SLA to it like we did the Seeker. Or having it be born with the SLA. Which shouldn't take a research action. Just a lot of corpses.

He is trying too hard to be evil.

I mean, half-genie children take a lot of time to grow up to be usable in rituals. This is stupid evil.
He is immortal, and he can probably just use Bestow Curse to instantly make them an age category or two older. Then he kills them and their skull is the right size.
Or maybe he has an alchemical means of doing this. Like growth hormones of some sort ?

He's a mighty mage. I'm sure he isn't completely stupid.

Or maybe he's just patient. Immortality lets you do that kind of thing, after all.

We have had a lot of insertion questions and challenges in this thread. Now for a meta one !

Would you prefer to be inserted into ASWAH or in ASOIaF ? Why ?
In either case the insertion happens as the corresponding canon starts, in a place of your choosing. You are inserted as a human with 10 class levels, with the usual ROB requirements of no gear, no infinite loops, and no wildly broken PrCs (Illithid Savant, Dweomerkeeper, the custom ones in this quest...).

EDIT : Yes, you can still level if you find level-appropriate threats. And your magic still works in ASOIaF.

Depends, would I be able to use magic/supernatural tricks in canon ASOIAF?

If yes I choose that, as a big fish in a small pond it should be fun.
If no I choose ASWAH, because I'm certainly not going anywhere near ASOIAF without powerful magic.

Mmmm. ASWAH full stop. So much to learn! So much to see! So much meddling to do!

I pick cleric 6/radiant servant 4, specifically... How about in the reach?

Id follow the Seven and do my best to cut off Canons religious... Everything.

Which means being on bloodravens hit list naturally, but with meta knowledge he is a short trip to a godswood away.

Assuming I am able to walk a whole 5 miles without him killing me anyway.

*zxzx24 appears in Westeros
*Walks his first step
*Trips over a stone, gets trampled down by a few horses that where spooked by a suddenly appearing snake
*gets bitten by the snake
*the horses owners try to help him, but their sword-belts tear while helping him up, he gets hit by various weapons
*they bring him to the nearest healer, who happens to be a woodswitch living nearby
*she poisons him, then stabs him
*a nearby tree falls in her hut, finally crushing zxzx24

Meanwhile Bloodraven hopes the next problem has fewer HP.

I'm really not sure, on one hand ASOIaF seem safer in the short term, on the other even if I choose a way to immortality, I suspect that someday even if it's in millions of years I will die, and I know nothing about ASOIaFs afterlives, on the other hand, ASWAH is harder to survive in, and getting into the nice afterlives aren't that simple.

I think ultimately I go with ASOIaF, and begin to live out my fantasies of being an immortal uplifter.

Hm, a relaxed (and probably quite luxurious) life as something at worst peak human (if picking some martial class), waiting for the protagonists to deal with Others.. or be neck-deep in multiple extraplanar invasions and eldritch monstrosities. I do not know what I'd ever choose! /s
If levelling up is an option in ASWAH, that could be nice, canon might become boring after a while.

As for class, I'd pick Unsworn Shaman. Full, prepared divine casting beholden to no deities and with some tricks (like arcane enlightment) get access to my choice of Wizard spells each day. Human FCB nets me spells drawn from the Cleric list.

Unsworn means I can pretty much toss out the entire list of class features and be getting new ones each day, from a pretty good selection.

So, I just realized I forgot to vote. I came to correct that while I had time, but turns out everyone else did, too.

Remember, we decided to finish up the Goblin Market personally once we determined we needed to pull the Companions off that to deal with the Efreeti.

[X] Travel to Lys and deal with the intrigues of the Goblin Market personally
