One thing to note here is that Lya does already have some limited spontaneous casting, though Uncanny Foresight. If you guys choose Wild Arcana for her I'll fluff it as an improvement of that.

And her feats and class let her cast a few spells spontaneous already. I'm not even sure how your plan is supposed to interact with that.

If you claim that any amount of spontaneous casting means she is no longer a Wizard, then she stopped being a Wizard 10 levels ago.

Explanation:
  • Lya can cast any arcane spell she has prepared as a swift action without expending it, forcing enemies to reroll successful saves and rolling twice to beat SR. She can do the same for divine spells, even if she has already expended the prepared spell (but doesn't get to reroll Vs SR). 5 uses per day for now.
  • Viserys now cast flawlessly under pressure, auto-passing Concentration checks. He also learns a mythic spell (suggestions? I'm undecided, there are too many great ones!)
 
I edited my last posts to make it clearer than you aren't turning her into a sorcerer. Limited used per day, after all.

Not my point. Her current methods are fairly limited - they offer some versatility, but still far less than what Viserys has.
Meanwhile Wild Arcana and it's divine version let her go through a boss fight or two casting any spell she needs, regardless of preparation or limits like those of Uncanny Forethought (full-round action, -2 CL, limited to spells known, requires leaving slots open).

Basically Azel's plan gives her every spell known all at once, while she is currently limited to spells known.
What would she get excited over at the bazaar, otherwise ? :D

The swift action part was patched both in canon pathfinder and in this quest. The spells take just as long as usual to cast.
 
@TalonofAnathrax, Wild Arcane and Inspired Spell are natural progressions of her Uncanny Forethought and class abilities.

What you variant would achieve is that we will constantly use the Mythic points to double-cast the UF slots. So you basically want to limit her choice of spells to cast with Mythic and nothing else.

Edit: Also, if you want "mighty caster" fluff, then WA and IS fit much better.
 
When will we have our '24 hour talk' with Zhaerys? Bare in mind that plan spmewhat expects a bit of chaos in Volantis beforehand, a mixture of Zhaerys witholding leadership skills out of 'humbleness' and other threats... Though Im not sure which ones yet.

Basically, Viserys as Goldfish made his point well enough for me, I think he fits well enough the vision of "unshakeable and uninterruptible in his task stone-cold battle-badass"...

And Lya the way Azel and Snowfire make her, because I largely have no problems with her as is.

She has a quill of scribing, too.

Did the uprising in Volantis we warned Benerro and Zherys about already happen (and I forgot), or is it still going to happen?

She can't scribe a spell she doesn't know and casting them from Mythic power doesn't count as known.

Otherwise we could just use Ancestral Awakening to get Scribe Scroll on Viserys and use him for that.
