A Hellfish flys again! ( a Simpsons X DVV CK2 Quest)

As I said coming turn we should buy Itchy and Scratchy, we have left that on the backburner far too long.

Also investing on Herb company for car improvements, like Herb and Frink no doubt would be a menace on the market.

Turn 6? is the big payday, and we are starting to get a lil low, Establishing smuggling operations (Mafia) and either What did burns own or buying Itchy and Scratchy would be my pick
i have an "plan" (more of an outline) with I+S called Plan: The Calm Before The Storm which i am working on, but before i do i am waiting for the last interludes.

Say how do you think luz and vee will react to rod and tod, rod and tod are the sterotype of the obedient christian children, vee is a mixed bag, for luz probably horrified how they lived their life(ned isnt a bad parent nor is maude but you do have to admit that they do take the crhistian household teachings a bit farther than people like to admit and how much of a wimp both tod and rod became throughout the simpson seasons)

Yes! Absolutely! Diversify our portfolio and start bringing jobs in to town!

We should also try to recruit the Radioactive Men. Get us some more martials to work with. We are woefully outgunned by our neighbors. Wouldn't hurt to have some help dealing with Burns, either.

EDIT: Oh, and the zombies! We should do something about that, too.

Alright so Belos is probably running around somewhere on earth, while the Collector is having fun with the Boiling Isles.

Not sure how Kikimora escaped though.

Belos is part of the League of Salem in DVV Gridlock if I remember right.

This is my rough plan for the next update, since we are getting a a Occult Unit Lena is possible a placeholder for now and finally tackling the issue with the cemetery now that Burns plan for the Clown were ruined so we have a little breathing room on that front.

May as well contact that mysterious senator that want to speak with Abe and estabelish some contacts with the military, you know just to calm down Uncle Sam that we are not planing to secede as well.

As for Stwearad we have the possibity to earn a new Hero Unit and Income at the same time with the Krusty Show, and Krusty possible has a high score in Diplmacy and that's something we need for now, and buy Itchy and Scracht show since it douns like a limited time action since it mentions in a few months, aka a few turns, will close doors and using Quimby Free Action to Renovate the Castle because these old folks deserve better.

Send the Finale to search for Radioactive Men, who knows what happen to him, and Mona may have better luck into looking at these mysterious group.

Wo what everybody think?

We planned this quest before DVV group created the Salem group, they arent a thing on this quest. We are doing our own take of Owl House in this quest.

-[] Renovate the Springfield Retirement Castle (Quimby Free Action) - DC 20: Jasper

Just a comment but Assigning Jasper to the qimby action is a bit of a waste, cause whatever action he is assigned to doesnt count for the total limit, he is an extra action like qimby's. Doing that bascially emans you have one action less than what you could.

EDIT: Also, you guys need to remmebr you took the reach out to doof action, on the upcoming itnerlude you will have to choose an action on which doof and abe will collaborate on, lokcing you guys unto that for next turn.

The thing with Ned is that I really cannot blame him for how Rod and Tod came out.

TBH the flanders is a family full of messes that do need to see a teraphist imo.

Like Ned from childhood pretty much hated his parents because they just never truly cared about doing something about him, when you can do pretty much everything without getting a 2nd glance it kinda becomes pointless.

Then he got the treatment and was unable to truly say something for decades.

He probably went christian and too strict on rules and codes because he must think that he is at least giving Rod and Tod what he never could have growing up.

Then you have Maude death which probably made them spiral futher down.

Ned so far has been the only one trying to move on, but he is still probably having doubts and his mind being a mess that he doesn't notice he isn't helping rod and tod move on either.

I dont want to take any more income reducing actions unless necessary, given we are getting low and the QMs are giving worrying comments again, I think we should use an martial to lock down the graveyard given its now an top priority, and researching gill before he has any possible chance to escape is an good idea, also fat tony gets loyalty debuffs from an lack of MAFIA actions
This is Subject to change, obviously given the unsures and almost certainly will when the doof colab happens

–[] Martial: Block Off Access to the Cemetery. DC 40 (Quimby Free)

I think is better to out the Hillbilly army on the cemetery to at least give a bonus roll since is a ticking time bomb

–[] Diplomacy: Recruit Super heroes to your retinue DC 60 (Flanders)

I think is better to hold this for now in order to not pissing off Syndrome yet. The guy has a complex for superheroes so is better to hold this for now until we become better prepared to handle hostile actions of the Kings in our fair city, in my opinion i better to check what that senator wants, maybe is a limited time event like the Itchy and Scracth show and narrative the guy is not going waiting for too long in wanting to speak with Abe.

–[] Stewardship: Establishing smuggling operations DC 70 (MAFIA ACTION) (Fat Tony)

We don't need to establish a Mafia Action this turn and the Lemon Farms give us a extra Income to cope with the lost of revune in keeping the Itchy and Scratch show alive plus is a very low DC roll as well

–[] Learning: Study the freaky fish guy mutant (Gill) DC: 90 (Frink)

I think is better to foucs all our research in the Power Plant instead of looking to other areas for now since still is a environment hazard and increase Income as well, allowing us to also cope with the cost of buying Krusty Show.

For the first, it got lost in the copy and paste, fixed

Syndrome has now left with the bandit, and we are free to go for it, furthermore while syndrome dislikes capes, doof and shego (the kings that benift the most from killing us) both like them, but i can see your point... i will give it some thought

given tonys luck i dont particularly want to go for the personal, and the stat boosts due to mafia actions for him will be nice, it also gets us some income as well, which makes it better for now

Gill is almost certainly going to try and escape, whether he succeeds or not doesn't matter in that i want to get this done, its absolutely an timed action as an result however, thus getting it done quickly will be important

Itchy and scratchy unlocks further animation options, so we can start doing those next turn alongside KTCS, since we get our big load of income on turn 6, which will allow us to do those actions heading into the big paycheck

Yeah, I don't think we really got any good candidates for that anyway. I say it's better to pull a full court press on Burns while we can! He'll go back into hiding soon, after all.
Possibly, but again i think its best to see what burns is up to this turn, us going on the attack might be an good idea, or it might be an terrible one, all depending on what burns does.

Syndrome Captures the Birthday Bandit!!!

You ordered Willie to go and catch the Birthday Bandit before Burns could get his sleazy hands on him. He just nodded and said something you barely were able to understand before he ripped his shirt off, gave a battle cry and went to your mansion to rally the band of hillbillies that were amping them, bringing all of them to swarm the Junkyard.

It had been a few hours since that and you haven't heard a sound from him, some witnesses say that the Scottish man and the hillbillies rushed the place, and there were some loud noises happening, but it has been quiet since.

With a weary heart you decided to go to the Junkyard and take a look yourself at the situation…what you found arriving there caught you off guard.

The place was a mixture of trash of all kinds and…pies? Almost every surface of the place was covered in dough…including Willie and the Hillbillies. All of them were knocked out in the ground covered in pie and with several bruises.

You had to rush them to the hospital, filling the place over and had to wait a few hours for them to recover and for Willie to explain what happened…and you were surprised to hear the events that transpired.

Willie and the army had arrived just at the same moment as Sideshow Bob and that weird Kikimura Gal, all of them entering the junkyard ready to catch the clown…and the Bandit was ready for them.

The guy had pie weapons of almost every variety…pie cannons, pie hammers, pie siege weapons…it was a delicious and sugary assault that easily knocked all of them out.

With Sideshow Bob or Kikimura nowhere on side, you had hoped that the Bandit had somehow managed to escape, but after questioning some people that were passing by close to the place, you found out that somehow, the multiple syndromes had managed to catch the bandit. Having flown out of the Junkyard, with a clown hanging by one leg, all battered up.

You guess it's game over for the Bandit.

RESULTS: Willie and the Hillbilly Army were defeated by the Birthday Bandit! Glomgold and Burns failed to capture the Bandit! Syndrome managed to catch him and won't give the reward to anyone.

There will be one less clown in the world in just a few days.

–[X] Willie
—[X] Start an Irn-Bru Smuggling Operation
Result: 16
Yesterday while checking out the mansion's (massive) garden you hear some noise coming from your shed and investigate to find Willie hiding out in it!
Apparently Willie nearly got in trouble with the Springfield police about something related to That Bru you see him drinking occasionally and is hiding out here till the heat dies down.
Reward: Willie manages to Evade the police attention and is currently hiding out in your shed till the heat dies down. The Bru smuggling action can be taken next turn when the heat dies down.

...fuckign Hell, Willie just wasn´t having a good time this turn, huh? First he and our Yokel Militia quite literally got absolutely creamed by the Birthday Bandit, then his "Bru-shining operation" (I know now that Irn Bru ain´t booze, but I just needed a "cool" nickname) gets busted by Wiggum and he has to lay low for a bit...really feel sorry for the old grouch now...

Also sucks that Syndrome got what he wanted without having to go through anyone else, but DAMN if Mr. Baker didn´t go down fighting - he obliterated our forces, drove off both Sideshow Bob and that Kiki gal and still went surprisingly close to coming out on top against the Syndroids.

So why the Bandit biting it soon ist sad, he had a last dance worthy of recognition - I´d definitely be up for us *Eventually* orchestrating Syndrome´s downfall in BBs honour in the far future

Oh, and Burns remaining empty-handed is swell as well - so despite us technically performing the least, in the end everything I hoped for (the Bandit going out like a beast and Burns getting shafted) happened in the end - *nice*

–[X] Diplomacy: Recruit Minions (DC 40) (Fat Tony)

BOTS INTERRUPT!!!

Bots Sabotage Roll:

=43(Roll)+13(Abe Diplomacy)+16(Fat Tony)-4(D2=1! Let's go for a ride)+1(Loyalty)-15(½ Of Bots Sabotage Roll)+10(TheNotoriousSMP!Omake bonus)=64

Results: Fat Tony has managed to recruit Minions for the Mafia, obtained Trait Mob Mentality! +2 to Martial Combat rolls. Minions will need training first before they can act on Fat Tony Standards as a proper Mafia.

Unlocked Fat Tony Personal Action to train Minions!

Unlocked National Action "Obtain Weapons for the Mafia"

–[X] Fat Tony
—[X] Find Jonny Tightlips, Omake Bonus (+10)
Result: 89+10(TheNotoriousSMP!Omake Bonus)=99!

REWARD: Fat Tony has re-recruited Johnny Tightlips! He adds +3 to his Intrigue and Martial.

While I am a bit confused about whether Bots´ interrupt even did anything tangible, I am very happy at the one-two punch FT landed with his actions - especially since Kamp Krusty ended up a bit of a mixed bag in terms of benefits for him specifically (was hoping for a bigger opinion boost, but our morals kinda prevented that...oh well...)

So yeah, FT´s gotten *punchy* now and sneaky as well - *me likey*

Really curious what collabs and other stuff we are getting outta this - and not just because that omake can serve me so well as background fodder for my Candace/Stacy follow-up omake^^ Definitely makes me want to Talk to Shego some time in the near future as well to salvage that old "get Springfield designated as buffer state between DEI and Drakktech" I had before BB had breathed his last, for sure...

–[X] Stewardship: Bring The Power Plant Up To Code (DC 40) (Apu) (2 Income)
Result: 20(Roll)+8(Abe stewardship)+25(Apu)+2(Loyalty)=55

Results: Power Plant up to code now! Increase Income gained by 1! Increase the Opinion of the Citizens of Springfieldf towards Abe and the Power Plant!

Increase DC to Assault the Power Plant by 10!
Gain a +5 Bonus to contested intrigue Rolls against Infiltrations!

–[X] Apu
—[X] Restock Your Weapons Stockpile
Result: 71

Results: Apu has restocked his arsenal, he is ready to defend his family from any threat! +5 bonus to protect the Power plant and Springfield from Invasions. Once all ammunition is used Apu will have to retake the action so the bonus is active once again.

That protection bonus being on an ammo counter is a bit of a bummer, but still very good - as is the plus to both our coffers and Reputation

I´ll take it, especially in light of a certain "big" mishap further down...

–[X] Stewardship: Upgrade Springfield Prison (DC 50) (Quimby Free) (Wilhelm)
Result: 25(Rolll)+8(Abe Stewardship)+20(Kaiser)+2(Loyalty)+20(Gleeman Omake Bonus)+10(nightmaster!Omake Bonus)=85
Success!!!

RESULT: Springfield Prison upgraded! Will be able to hold your run of the mill capes now! DC 120 (Martial) for someone to attack the prison and DC of 90(Intrigue) for someone to try to sneak in or out of the prison!

–[X] Kaiser
—[X] Find A New Home
Result: 67

...while his approach to prison security was expectedly"old-fashioned", it still did the trick and ZK brought that embuggerance called "Springfield Prison" up to snuff, meaning that we now got our own Gill-ed mutant to prod a bit in the future - neat^^

Aside from that, Wilhelm also found a new abode of his own, simultainously taking steps in being his own man and getting outta Ned´s hair, so there is that as well^^

–[X] Stewardship: Restructure The Power Plant's Administration (DC 55) (Free) + Gil Gunderson (+5)
Result: 81(Roll)+8(Abe Stewardship)+5(Gil)+10(TheNotoriousSMP!Omake Bonus)=104
Success!
Result: Unlocked 2nd Stewardship Action! Unlocked Administrative Manager Position!

Choose a Hero Unit to take this position:

Fat Tony: When doing an action that uses income either half the cost or not waste income at all (A 1d6 will be rolled, on a 4 or 5, the cost is halved, unless the cost is 1 income, on a 6, the action does not use income at all)

Apu: Reroll the first critical failure that happens on an action that occurs on the Power Plant.

Moe: Reduces the DC of Stewardship Actions that Involve Buying stuff as his haggling skills allow him to obtain them with more ease.

Willhelm: All Stewardship Actions get a -5 to their DCs and each turn a random stewardship Action gets another -5 to their DC (It can stack) as long as kaiser continues to hold the position, once removed the DCs go back to normal

Hmmm...

FT could save us some moolah once the NAs get *Really price*, but especially rn it´s not that reliable, Apu kinda hinges on us *Expectign* a crit fail for it to procc, Moe is pretty good in turns where we plan to expand our businesses and ZK is a small but *Consistent* DC reduction.

Kinda torn between Moe and Kaiser, tbh - I´ll have to literally sleep on it, I think...
Aside from that, *what is it with Abe nailing these Slot unlocks on his own*? Sure, Apu did a lot of the heavy lifting on this one last turn, but it´s weird that it happened twice now^^

–[X] Intrigue: Flush Spies from the Power Plant (DC120) (Finale & Mona) Omake Bonus (+45)
Result:37(Roll)+30(The finale Intrigue)+29(Mona)+2(Loyalty)+10(Dr.Dinosaur!Omake Bonus)+10(Catxfighter_3_1_!Omake Bonus)+15(Wabbitking!Omake Bonus)+10(Master Fireball!Omake Bonus)+10(nightmaster!Omake Bonus)= 143
Success!!!

REWARD: You have successfully rooted out and gotten rid of All of Bots' spies, so Burns no longer has complete eyes on you. Lucille Botcowski arrested, depriving Burns of a Hero Unit!

...admittedly, we had to burn a lot of bonuses to get there, but that was still kinda anticlimactic - now, Burns´ spy ring is gone again already and he´s short an Operative

One could say that Syndrome success *Ended up backfiring on the old fossil after all*^^

–[X] Intrigue: Develop Traps For The Company (DC 75) (Finale & Moe, & Bart)=138
Result: 66(Roll)+30(The Finale Intrigue)+17(Moe)+24(Bart)+1(Loyalty) +15 (Prankster Extraordinaire)=153
Critical Success!!!

REWARD: The DC to Infiltrate or steal from the Power Plant increases by +15!

...that happens if you put a prankster, a cynical bar owner and a sniper on trapping the perimeter, I guess^^

Our Prison might now be a fortress in the truer sense, but the Plant aint far beyond, I daresay^^

–[X] Intrigue: Set Up Some Patrols In Springfield (DC 50) (Finale, Jasper) (1 Income)
Result: 1(Roll)+30(The Finale Intrigue)+11(Jasper)+1(Loyalty)=43
NAT 1 CRITICAL FAILURE!!!

Result: Springfield police ended up annoying the whole town. Some Public opinion is lost with Springfield citizens. Wasted 1 income! All factions hidden on Springfield get reduced DC for their actions next turn!

–[X] Jasper
—[X] Try To Talk To The Mysterious Hecklers
Result: 20(Roll)+10(TheNotoriousSMP!Omake Bonus)=30

–[X] Moe
—[X] Practice Voodoo
Result: 43

Moe was able to practice a little his Voodoo magic by implanting some harmless orders to some customers on his bar to pass the time. Unfortunately, while entertaining, he didn't actually got better at it. Moe will need to practice harder if he wants to get more experience with this.

...that crit fail sucks, but considering our previous gains on other NAs this turn, that´s actually not that bad - but Jasper not pinning down Statler & Waldorf is pretty disappointing as well

As for Moe fiddling with his Voodoo, that didn´t go anywhere either...

Oh well, you can´t win them all, I guess...

–[X] Learning: Increase The Safety Of Your Reactors (DC 70) (Frink)
Result: 48(Roll)+10(Abe Learning)+35(Frink)+20(Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant!)+5(Carl and Lenny)+5(Advanced Facilities)+3(Loyalty)=126

REWARD: Your nuclear reactors were successfully upgraded! +10 to the DC for them to go wrong and/or be sabotaged.

–[X] Frink
—[X] Study That Weird Magic Book
Result: 7
46+7=53/100

And our Plant finally approaching a state one could declare "actually safe" - neato!

Booo on Frink whiffing his Magic PA, though...

–[X] Occult: Look For Magically Inclined People (DC 25) (Lena)
Result:66(Roll)+0(Abe Occult)+22(Lena Occult)+2(Loyalty) +10 (Nightmaster!Omake Bonus) =100

–[X] Lena
—[X] Magically Look in on Webby
Result: 58

...yes - yes, she is...

Not that we care, though - not it´s paying dividends like that^^

Nothing much to say about the middling-ish PA, though

–[X] Abe
—[X] Spend Time With Your Son
Result: 9(Roll)+30(Saved the Kids)+15(TheNotoriousSMP!Omake bonus)= 54

REWARD: Things are by no means perfect between you, but you and Homer's relationship is on the mend.

—[X] Hang Out With One Of Your Workers, Omake Bonus (+10)
—-[X] Mona Simpson
Result: 77(Roll)+10(Boohoo!Omake Bonus)= 87

REWARD: You get a +10 Opinion increase with Mona!

–[X] Mona
—[X] Visit your old home
Result: 69

REWARD: Mona feels nostalgic and strangely happy. +5 to the next National action she is assigned to.

Looks we did quite a bit of work on bringing the older members of our family back together - not bad at all^^

—[X] Jog Your Memory
Result: 71

REWARD: Abe remembers a few things! National Actions related to Laser tag business and making tonics unlocked.

Oooh, neat! Both of them - but especially the Tonics combined with Buying the Burlesque House - could help us move into the Nightlife Sector a lot and I really want that to be one of "our things".

—[X] Practice Your Lying Skills (1/2 Progress)
Result: Increase intrigue by 1d2+1

Roll: 1+1=2!

Abe's Intrigue is now 18!!!

18 Intrigue isn´t half-bad a score for some old retired, semi-senile veteran - I´ll take it^^

The bandit went out fighting, of all the things that can be said of him...he didn't go out a coward.

One could say he "raged against the dying of the light"

Well it sucks syndrome captured the Birthday bandit, for all of the stuff he did, being captured by syndrome is not something i would have wanted him to be subjected to, i shudder to think what he has in plans for him

I mean, we can still *Think* about contributing to Syndromes fall some time in the probably-far future and posthumously dedicating it all to Mr. Bob Baker?

I´d be up for it, at least...

Gill is almost certainly going to try and escape, whether he succeeds or not doesn't matter in that i want to get this done, its absolutely an timed action as an result however, thus getting it done quickly will be important

Our prison has been updated so it take a 90 Intrigue DC for someone to sneak in or out of the prison plus a 125 for any attack. Gil possible has a atrocious Intrigue status, by very obvious reasons, and even if the guy roll 100 in Martial and have +25 for bonus, still going to end up as a tie since it need to pass a 125 roll to succeed.

So unless he roll stupidly well into a intrigue roll, he's going to stay there a while, plus he still believes that the prison is much more capable than actually is so no doubt it has a debuff in all his attempts to escape that's going to be combined with recent renovations.

Possibly in the place of the security force, but i think we await the RR and see if he does anything before deciding if its worth anything, he is recoiling at the loss of bots so he might be distracted making up for that anyways.
Yeah, I don't think we really got any good candidates for that anyway. I say it's better to pull a full court press on Burns while we can! He'll go back into hiding soon, after all.

Burns was banking a lot into the Birthday Bandit, so he not taking the reward money possible will severe drawback his plans, plus he possible already move from his base now since he's aware already aware that's compromised.

Remember Burns was aware of everything Abe was doing and that including finding his base.

He probably long gone from there at this point.

Fair... I will have another look through the available learning actions on that one, probably going to go with the same as the other plan though

It's actually a DC of 120 for Martial action to escape the prison, gill would need to roll +95 to succed. And you are wrong, nat 100 are automatically critical success (And cause an extra roll to be added to the result). If Gill were to nat 100 that he would escape an probably wreck the prison in its way, whoe knows.

speaking of his PA - any word on Camilla for someone unfamiliar with TOH? How likely is their relationship to work out and can we epect her to know something of how the Villain Victory went down on her end?
Given that Luz and her friends are alive, she should know everything they know...which isn't everything, but still a lot.

Camilla is a good woman and a secret Scifi Nerd, who has raised Luz alone ever since her husband Manny passed away. She has had her problems doing so (I won't go into Detail, here), but in the end, she is an amazing mom and an incredibly caring Person. As long as Ned is fine with LGBTQ+ People (Luz is Bi and has a Girlfriend), he and Camilla may work out.

Well, Gil is unlikely to escape, in any case.

It does depend upon how Burns performs this turn, but one would nonetheless advocate for resolving the situation as soon as possible, both him and those that he has gathered. The sooner that he is neutralized, the sooner that this dagger poised to slip between the ribs will be removed.

Yeah Camilla is a good parent.

Hell the camp she was going to send her daughter to, she mostly did it out of social preassure and that she was fearful her daughter would go trough the same problems she did as a child.

She isn't as stric as Ned by any means and will probably come to arguing over it.

But if they both share something is that they have big hearts and take their duty of caring about children and their fellow person 100% seriously.

Like most of her daughter friends and temp adoptions come from abusive backgrounds, like seriously, Amity and Hunter weren't happy by any means.

Otherwise she works as a vet, tbh it would be cute that they bond over Flanders future dog.

So we've finally made progress with Homer. Hopefully we can keep it up, and get access to the rest of the family as hero units.

And also love and family, and such.

I want to introduce our grandkids to Webby and Lena! Lisa especially. She needs more friends.

Talking about Lena, we should prolly try to get more loyalty with her.

The Webby situation could have gone out of control pretty quickly due to well moody teenager.

There is also Belos in general being a danger to her.

IIRC at this point they are looking for a way back into the boiling isles and Belos at the moment is ridding on Hunter without the later knowing it.

You know, wonder how well would liquid nitrogen stop him.

Either that or research a way of leaving nothing but dust of the fucker.
