Sure, that's always been the case! Zombies are metaphors for mindless consumerism, vampires are metaphors for sexual desire, I'm not sure what mummies are metaphors of, but it's probably something. The undead have long been stand ins for humanity's desires. It's one of the oldest tropes out there!

We now do have *theoretical* access to alcohol- fueled robots thanks to parts of the Planet Express (including Bender s body) having been dropped onto our turf - so if we decide to snatch them up (wondering now how well Frink and Farnsworth would gel with each other), we could reverse-engineer their Robotics stuff to build our own booze-powered "angry Highlander" version of Fallouts own "Mr. Handy" line of metallic manservants
...wouldnt mind collabbing with Doof on that as well, since he's already made serious inroads winto that field with his Normbots
Definitely something we should at least seriously consider for the nearish future, gus
So I guess we need to expand our ability to get more heroes than
But I do agree this is our future tech. We're not sharing it with any other of the kings, especially the technology kings. Especially a certain bowler hat one
The man known as Friedrich Wilhelm Viktor Albert, or Willhelm the Second as he was most commonly known, stared at the map of the park, laid on the table, which showed where his target was hiding.
Herr Simpson has entrusted him with the task of capturing a "Montgomery Burns" and the cohorts that conspire against him and his family. He had given him command of this town's police and the unusual band of hillbillies that camped around his house and had asked his former spouse Frau Mona to assist you in this endeavor
Currently, Herr Wiggum and his lackeys, Who were all eating donuts with coffee, and what apparently passed as the leader of the hillbillies group were with him in a hurriedly made tent that worked as their base of operations just outside the park
Kaiser was excited for this! A chance to perform a military operation with full liberties was what he liked to hear! Soon it would be time for the German Zombie Cowboy to strike fear in the hearts of his enemies!
From the recon Frau Mona had made before, what resources der Clown had stolen had gone not only to reinforce the bunker they were using as a base, but also to laid out traps across the park, making it hard for them to proceed.
Kaiser would have doubted how effective they would be…but the hillbillies and Tank still stuck in the trap holes full of glue (Which he still had no idea why the fat Officer drove straight towards it even when it was visible), clearly showed that proceeding carelessly would lead to more losses than needed.
Which was a great shame for the zombified Kaiser, his plan to have all the soldiers ride in horses while country music played out loud towards the bunker in a Blitzkrieg charge for glory might not be the best course of action.
Frau Mona had set out alone to try and disarm as many Traps as she could so they were free to attack this Burns man as they wished, meanwhile, the zombie German was busy having his hands full handling the policeman and the hillbilly.
"Now, hear me out. What if…we put a bunch of boxes of donuts and coffee outside the bunker?" Chief Wiggum says, suggesting another idea for the attack as he keeps devouring the glazed pastries with each breath. "They'll ignore them for a while, but sooner or later someone's gonna get hungry and peek out to grab some…AND THEN WE STRIKE!" He says, slamming his fist on the table.
"Naaah, that will not woooork blue guuuuy!" The rowdy hillbily says, most likely high, as he takes another sip from his moonshine. "Nahnahnahanah! What we've t'do is dig a tunnel below them! Them won't see us coming then!"
"For ze last time, ve vill not do any of zose plans! Ve shall do zis... cowboy style!" You reply exasperated for the tenth time today. He just hoped Frau Mona would come back soon so they could get on with the assault.
And if she could read the Kaiser's mind, that's when Mona entered the tent, she was dressed in full camo suit, courtesy from the old sniper guy, who, and was covered from shoes to head in dirt and flowers, but she had a fully satisfied expression on her face.
"Has ze job been completed, Miss Mona?" The Kaiser asks, with a hopeful tone.
"I think so." Mona dusted off her hands, making a considerable cloud of dirt come out. "I have found all the trap holes and filled them with vinegar, triggered all the trip wires and also got rid of the fake bunker entrance they had set up." She flashes you a thumbs up. "We should be clear to proceed!" She says with a determined expression.
"Vunderbar! Police Viggum! Yokel guy! Call up your troops, it's time for us to charge into glorious battle!" With that, the Kaiser whistled as loud as he could. "To me! My horsey!"
Not a second later, his loyal steed rushes inside the tent, and without a second thought, he climbs on him and rushes towards the park!!!
"Yeeehaaaaaw!!!!" He bellows as his horse gallops towards the park entrance, the act attracting the attention of the remaining troops he had under his command.
As the Kaiser rides his horse towards the bunker, swiftly evading the trap holes that Frau Mona was so kind to reveal. Each gallop from the zombified horse taking Kaiser one step closer to his encounter. Behind him, he could hear the roars from the hillbillies closing in.
If Kaiser had still a normal heart it would be beating like crazy! Their battle would be legendary!!!
"Ohgodtheyarecomignwhatarewegoingtodo!?" Artie Ziff screamed gripping his hair with both hands, as he ran in sheer panic from one side of the room to the other. "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"
"Quiet! You spineless fool! I can barely hear myself think with your whining!" Burns shouted in irritation at the spectacled man. While at a simple look they would see Burns at his usual self, a long enough inspection could tell that even him was starting to get worried, as much as he tried to hide it.
"Grimes Jr! Sideshow Bob! Keep barricading the door!" The previous owner of the Power Plan orders as his 2 lackeys continue pulling random stuff and trash to cover the entrance to their last safehold.
The Burns 6 had heard the roars of the angry mob of Hillbillies and Police officers from above, and figuring out their traps had failed, decided to retreat to the last saferoom of the bunker.
It was a wide room, almost like a storage room, with several dusty old boxes filling the place, it seemed like it hadn't been opened in ages, with the amount of cobwebs and dust filling the place. It would take several days to check what was inside all this boxes, unfortunately, the Burns 6 didn't have that time right now.
"This won't work, Burns!" Grimes said, having run out of things to barricade the entrance with, and just decided to press his body against the door. Outside of the room, the cacophony of countless voices sounded out, each of them out for their blood. "We need to get out of here!"
"I know that!" Burns starts pacing around too, trying to keep a sense of calm as he rubs his hands with clear panic. "I know there's a secret exit in this room! I just…can't remember where is it" He comments annoyed.
"Well, figure it out!" Sideshow Bob shouts as he starts digging through some boxes instead of helping Grimes Jr. after checking some boxes, he gives a shout of triumph as he retrieves a weapon!
A M1 Garand, one of the most used weapons of the Americans during WW2, in a surprisingly good state considering how long has it been since it has seen some action.
"...Why do you have such an old weapon?" Bob asks Burns who just crosses his arms in a defensive gesture.
"Hey, I had to dump somewhere all the weapons I managed to steal during the war! I couldn't get anyone to buy them, so I dumped all of them here!"
Bob and Grimes Jr share a look and a moment later both of them start opening and checking boxes.
A few seconds later, a Luger P-08, an Enfield No. 2, an Arisaka Type 38 rifle and a PPS-42 and PPS-43 machine gun are in the grasp of both criminals.
Grimes Jr turns to Burns. "We will buy as much time as we can, better find out that secret exit Burns!" He shouts as he and Bob get ready to welcome the incoming army of Zombie, Hillbillies and Police combined.
"Grrr…Don't tell me what to do!" Burns whines as he runs to the back of the room. "Smithers! Is our newest recruit ready?!"
At the very back of the room, Smithers can be standing, checking on a solid metal box covered in chains and padlocks, that keeps shaking over and over again.
"Y-Yeah she should be…But Sir, are you sure giving her that thing is a good idea?" Smithers ask…anxiety evident in his tone as he looks at the box.
"Of course it does! We need every advantage possible here! That idiotic fool will never expect something like this! Have her assist Grimes Jr and Bob and help me search for the exit!"
As Smithers prepared the newest Burns 6 for the inevitable clash, both sides knew that one way or another, only one of them would walk away unscathed.

Round 1 END!
In no time the Kaiser and his soldiers managed to breach the room, the hillbillies using a big ass log as a battering ram. The first thing that they noticed upon seeing the room was Frank Grimes Jr and Sideshow Bob aiming guns at them behind a group of boxes being used as cover. Followed by that was the two criminals welcoming them with a big round of hot lead towards them!
While the Police and the Hillbillies retreated to avoid being filled with bullets, the Kaiser stepped confidently towards them, the Bullets doing nothing but filling his body with holes, but aside from that having little to no effect on the undead, eventually the pair ran out of Ammo..
"Is zat all you got, scumbags?!" Kaiser taunts as he is almost upon them, ready to unleash his Zombified Cowboy German Fury!
At that moment, the Box at the far back burst open!
From inside the metal box a girl with ginger head comes out, and she looks pissed! With a snarl, she runs towards the Kaiser way quicker than a kid like her should move, leaps over the cover made by Grimes Jr and Bob and stares down at the Kaiser, with fury on her eyes.
"A kid? Vat is someone like you doing here, child?" He asks surprised
The Kid doesn't bother to answer, instead she rushes forward and delivers a strong hit to Kaiser's groin…which has no effect.
"Ha! Bettah luck next time!" He says as he reaches out and grabs Francine from the scruff of her neck. "Your parents vill be disappointed vith you, child!" He chastises her expecting the matter to be over quickly.
Kaiser was caught off guard when the child swung her legs and managed to deliver a solid kick to the chin, stunning him and buying the chance for the kid to start hitting the zombie's gut over and over again until she managed to knock him over. While not truly damaging the surprise of such an action made Kaiser unable to respond properly to this.
Seeing how the girl was attacking the zombie German, some Hillbillies tried to assist him.
"Hey sheila! Why don't you deal with us!" Hillbilly Wyatt said, brandishing a club as he leads some of his brethren to deal with the girl.
In response, the girl hisses at them and grabs the club out of Wyatt's hands and starts beating the hell out of him!
"AHHHH!!! That's no sheila! That's A bear! Help!" Wyatt shouts, being totally owned by the mysterious girl. And as the rest of the hillbillies try to assist his family member, this moment of distraction is all that Grimes Jr needs to finish reloading and upload a spray of Bullets towards the hillbillies, managing to hit several of them and hurting them!
"No! Ouch! Uncle Jeff! Ouch! Sister Clara! Nephew Bob! OUCH!" Wyatt shouts as he keeps being hit by the child using his own club.
The Springfield Police don't stay put at seeing this and fire back at the criminals.
"Surrender now criminal scum!" Chief Wiggum shouts as he and several members of the police force fire with their guns from the other side of the door towards Grimes Jr, who takes cover behind the pile of boxes. "You guys are breaking several laws that I can't bother to remember!"
"And we would gladly do it again! For revenge!" Sideshow Bob shouts as he returns fire, managing to hit Officer Lou.
"No, Lou! Officer down!" CHief Wiggum says as he sees the downed officer. "You monsters!" He and the other police members renew with vigor their shooting, but they fail to hit both criminals.
After hurting Cletus enough, the child then rushes towards Wiggum, with club raised, but before she can get into striking distance, another of the officers manages to fend her off with their own baton.
Meanwhile the 3 members of the Burns 6 fight, Ziff, scared out of his mind, decides to hide inside one of the boxes…in the middle of the firefight where the police and the Hillbillies watch it happen.
And while ALL of that is happening, Burns is at the back of the room, checking the wall with a hurried step.
"Let's see…I remember it was around…here!" Burns shouts happily as his hand sinks on a particular spot on the wall, and a moment later, a section of the wall opens up, revealing a door with a panel at the side filled with numbers.
"Now I just need to remember the combination…" Burns muses as the battle continues!

Round 2 END!
Watching how the Burns 6 were quickly setting the pace of the fight, Kaiser gets up and decides to stop fooling around. He targets Grimes Jr, rushing towards him, the mechanic response to that was to continue shooting with one of the stolen guns towards the zombie, but that had little to no effect!
Once Kaiser manages to reach the cover, he delivers a solid punch to Grimes Jr as Bob retreats to keep his distance from the cowboy German.
Next he grabs the man by the neck, raises him up, and throws him away from the cover and toward the hillbillies. "He is all yours!"
"For Uncle/Brother/Father/Sister Wyatt!" Several Hillbillies shout out at the same time.
One of them throws a bottle of Moonshine towards Grimes Jr and as it breaks and he ends up covered in the liquid, another of the hillbillies throws an ignited match at him, setting him on fire! As he writhes in pain several of the hillbillies rush at him and start beating the hell out of him!
Sideshow Bob, seeing his partner in revenge getting destroyed by the Hillbillies, takes the chance to continue shooting at the Police Officers, this time hitting Wiggum Himself!
"Ahh! I'm hit! Tell my son I loved him!... And that he can't eat my donuts!" Wiggum shouts as he bleeds from the gunshot wounds. Several of the officers grab him and Lou as they retreat to get medical help, retiring them out of the fight.
"Oh, you vill pay for zat, clown!" Kaiser threatens as he raises his magic finger guns, ready to shoot Sideshow Bob
Unfortunately, the child took the opportunity to sneak behind Kaiser and jump at him, getting a good grip on his neck and starting hitting him in the face!
"Not in ze eyes, child! STOP!" The Kaiser shouts, being caught totally off guard again by the child.
Meanwhile, Burns tries but fails to enter the correct password, keeping him a bit more here
"Grr…1113?" The panel makes a negative ping as Burns keeps trying. "1114…1115…1116… Dammit, what was the code again!?" He shouts as he keeps trying to enter the right combination

Round 3 ends!
Kaiser tries desperately to dislodge the Kid from his back, but with only his right good hand being able to reach to his back, he finds himself unable to remove the child, apparently having a stronger grip than expected.
He then tries to crash his back against the wall, hoping the impact may make the child stop grappling him, but the only reward he gets is more punches to his face, especially his eyes!
"You are a very bad child! Stop hitting my eye!" But the kid instead doubles her efforts to punch Kaiser's eye out!
Seeing his chance, Sideshow Bob runs towards the zombie in order to assist the child Using the Enfield No. 2 as a club, he joins in on beating the German!
Kaiser, caught off guard by the clown assist, falls to the ground as the one side beating continues.
"For ze love of Deutschland! Help me, you damn hillbillies!" Kaiser shouts in desperation as he is unable to defend from both hits from the pair.
Hearing the shout from the zombie German, some hillbillies stopped beating the stuffing out of Grimes Jr and rushed towards Bob, literally throwing themselves at him to dogpile him!
Bob fails to notice in time and is wide open for the first Hillbilly that hits his back, opening the chance for more of their brethren to pile in as they start punching and biting him!
Getting his reprieve, Kaiser finally manages to grab the arm that the kid was punching him with, and manages to throw her off him, giving him a chance to breathe and recuperate (Thought he doesn't really need it).
The kid on the other hand is a fighting machine incarnate, she immediately gets up from the ground and with a shout filled with anger, throws herself at the pile of Hillbillies keeping Bob trapped, getting involved in the dogpile, thought she fails to do any meaningful damage to them, she provides enough of a distraction for the clown to slip away from the pile, sporting several bruises and cuts.
Ziff takes a peek outside his box but seeing the battle still going makes him gulp and continues hiding.
Meanwhile, Burns is having more success with his endeavor, finally managing to figure out the password!
"1…2…3…4!" Burns exclaims as he presses the numbers and not a moment later a small ding can be heard across the room, the door opening slowly to reveal…a Sudoku puzzle?!
"Dammit! Who did I order again to build this?!" Burns grips his head as he tries to solve the puzzle. "Smithers! Help me with this!"

Round 5 END!
COMBAT HAD ENDED!
Kaiser doesn't miss the chance, he starts shooting his magic finger guns against Sideshow Bob, but the clown is more than ready this time.
Taking out a huge butcher knife, he starts to expertly block every shot with it and when the chance presents itself, he threw the knife in a solid swift motion towards the Kaiser, the zombie cowboy tried to avoid it by moving to the side…but that ended just giving Bob the perfect target as the knife went and cut through his arm like if it was made of butter!
"Nein! My arm! Righty... Noooooooo!!!" Kaiser shouts as he falls to his knees in despair, feeling deeply hurt by the loss of his good right hand.
As he keeps wailing for the loss of his arm, Sideshow Bob moves in with another knife to chop off his head, but the Kaiser isn't as defeated as he seems.
"How dare you! I vill kill you and bring you back... so I can kill you again!" Kaiser shouts with righteous fury as he grabs his chopped off arm, and uses it to slap Sideshow Bob away from him.
More Hillbillies swarm the clown, trying to beat him unconscious but the man is more resilient than he looks and is able to fend off all the attempts from them with his knife skills.
Suddenly, the Hillbilly dogpile where Sideshow Bob was and the kid is currently explodes for lack of a better word, with the hillbillies being thrown away by the child, as she roars in anger and starts running, jumping towards the kaiser with her fist raised, ready to deliver a solid haymaker…
But she is intercepted by Kaiser's arm! Using his dismembered limb as a club, he manages to swat her away before she can hit him!
She rolls on the ground as she recovers quickly, the blow not hurting her at all, she just growls at Kaiser and the Hillbillies as Bob shifts his grip on his knife and gets ready for another round…
Until a loud mechanical noise can be heard, accompanied by the sound of Burn's cheering. All the parties turn to see Burns and Smithers standing by the door that is slowly opening to reveal a hidden tunnel!
"Finally! Burns 6! Time for a tactical retreat! See you on the other side! Whahahahahaha!" He shouts as Smithers and him enter through the tunnel…when not a moment later the door starts to slowly close again!
Realizing that if they don't enter the tunnel know they will be stuck with the zombie and Hillbillies, Sideshow Bob and the Child start running towards the exit with reckless abandon!
"Oh no you don't!" Kaiser shouts as he throws his hand like it were a Boomerang, striking Sideshow Bob in the back of the head and making him fall…giving the Hillbillies the opportunity to catch up to him and dogpile him again!
Unfortunately, Kaiser nor the Hillbillies are able to intercept the child…nor they dare to.
As she entered the soon closing door, the Kaiser felt empty, this was a victory for sure for him, but he felt defeated anyway… He promises to do better next time…as long as that child isn't around.
As Kaiser walks towards his chopped arm and picks it up…the Battle of the Kaiser ends…for today.
A few miles from where the battle happened in the Springfield forest, a hidden trapdoor is opened, Burns and Smithers making their triumphant escape!
"Ok Smithers, status report!" Burns orders as he sits down on a rock, recovering his breath from the amount of jogging he just did.
"Well Sir…We lost everything except a child using a substance that won't last forever." Smithers replies as he stares at the only figure that followed them.
"Yo." Francine says as she sips from a soda.
"... GOD FUCKING DAMN ITTTTTTTTT!"
Final Results:
Springfield Police has been defeated, they won't be available next turn and any bonuses or traits they give will be negated until they recover!
Sideshow Bob, Frank Grimes Jr. and Artie Ziff have been captured! Artie Ziff has been sent to prison and Bob and Grimes are in the hospital recovering from broken bones and 3rd degree burns! Once healed they will go to the prison!
Burns has managed to escape with Smithers and the mysterious child! he has lost his base, other resources and most of his hero units!
Action to find out more about the child unlocked!
Kaiser and the Hillbillies are terrified of Francine! They will roll with disadvantage whenever they face her until they conquer their fears!
On the bright side, Burns won't be an immediate problem for us, though he's likely to start ass-kissing with one of the more Evil Kings just so he can use their resources to get revenge.

...dang, that was harder than I thought it would - also sucks that the Coal was used on someone I consider relatively inconsequential.
On the other hand, while Burns and Smithers escaping sucks, at least that old fruit-bat´s powerbase is pretty much *gone* - meaning he´ll have to eat crow and come under the aegis of one of the nastier Kings if he wants to spit his last breath at us, if only for Hate´s sake.
...say, are multiple cases of attemped murder (with at least one having targeted a *child*) enough to land Bob a one-way ticket to the Chair? Just asking - as for Grimes and Ziff, it´s probably "only" jail-time, I think
But JEEZUS, what did Burns give Francine to roid her up enough to put have her put the fear of God in both a horde of yokels as well as fucking zombie? We definitely might wanna look into that one asap. And yes, despite my misgivings about SFPD, it really hurts to see them outta the count next turn.
So yeah, while not nearly as clean of a sweep as I woulda liked, it´s still a net positive, I´d say
On the bright side, Burns won't be an immediate problem for us, though he's likely to start ass-kissing with one of the more Evil Kings just so he can use their resources to get revenge.
As for WHOM Burns might shack up, I´d say that Doom or maybe Glomgold are the most likely bets, given how similarly depraved they are compared to Burns - we´ll have to wait and see, though
Well Burns is a Prince, he's not expected to go down that easily. I am content to leave him alone for a couple of turns and focus in our own affairs since it will take quite a while for him to try something again.
"Ok folks, you asked me which of these fights in the Hellfish Quest was the most embarrassing ass whooping. Dawg, I am not going to play with you, the Burns 6 vs Kaiser Wilhelm and company wasn't a fight, that shit was a *violation*. Imagine being a grown ass man with two entire armies and you mostly get absolutely fucking *mollywhopped* by A middle schooler. Yeah, her allies got caught, but the disrespect Francine was showing these guys was next level. Bro, she gave this WW1 leader AND AN ENTIRE ARMY OF HILLBILLIES PTSD! And AGAIN SHE'S STILL OUT THERE, THIS FUCKING GIRL IS A MENACE, She takes the dub easy!"
Yeah, I'm done with this Quest. I'm sorry, but this abject, total (in every way that is actually important, with Burns still at large) failure coming out of what should have been our greatest win yet has sapped all my motivation to keep going.
I don't blame the QM's or anyone else, to be clear, it's just how it is with the rolls. Good luck to anyone who wants to keep going, and good success to the Quest overall, but I'm out.
Okay, so re-reading the interlude, a couple things pop out for me:
The good:
-Three of Burns' villain units captured, including the two most dangerous to our family specifically and the one that would have made it possible for Burns to rebuild were he able to get any money.
-Burns' heavily fortified base is now free real estate, and whatever base he ends up getting next is unlikely to be as good.
-We learned who the newest recruit is, Francine.
-Next turn Burns is likely going to have to spend two of his three actions on recruitment and finding a new base, delaying any plans he may have to work against us
--Possibility that he may get a negative modifier to recruitment thanks to the very visible consequences of working for him?
The less good:
-Burns got away, and he's not going to call it quits. With him in the wind we might also have some trouble learning what he's up to.
-Smithers also escaped, and as long as he's there Burns has one absolutely loyal minion.
-That kid is in trouble, Burns is going to keep her dosed on that tonic until she collapses if we can't rescue her.
All in all, as good a result as we could hope for. We've got Burns on the back foot so we should keep the heat in to prevent him from really recovering his momentum.
I think we did Artie and Bob a favour. Both are nerds and would probably trigger her bullying instincts, that said i wonder if smiters has pointdextrion?
