A Hellfish flys again! ( a Simpsons X DVV CK2 Quest)

I hearby declare this canon!
I offer a 10+ to a mona personal or Nancy and her family move to springfield.
I take the Nancy and her family move to Springfield.

Without doubt the gremlin energy will soon multiply once Bart meets Webby and Cricket, there is also that once we contract Gloria the Greens and her will at least have ome closure from Big City.

And as I said, they will be pretty useful once we invest on the lemon Threes.

Never watched the show they are from, so unfortunately I couldn´t say.

Comics & Love(canon!)
I hearby declare this a omake!...and unfortunately noncanon.
I offer you either a +10 for the personal to look for the missing solder or a +10 to a Jasper national.
I'll take the +10 for the personal to look for the missing solder, which was exactly what I was hoping for. :)

Also I offer you fresh off the presses the latest omake issue of the HellFish comic series! Where we see one Comic Book Guy find love~

Hehe but yeah figured would try my hand at another omake this time in a attempt to introduce character/factor from later seasons that I enjoyed. That being Kumiko Nakamura (Or rather Kumiko Albertson~) who debuted in season 25 married to the blob. I admit to have like Comic Book Guy and Kumiko, plus it was sweet to see him find love~

Comics & Love

It was a warm sunny day and many of Springfield citizens were either going about their lives (Which were now thankfully back to normal now that the dome was gone) or doing their part with repairs and clean up. Though right now inside The Android's Dunegon & Baseball Card shop one particular citizens was humming the classic Batman tune as they focused on their own little repairs.

"Annnnd...perfect!" A large "big boned" figure of a man wearing a blue shirt and shorts with brown hair style in a pony tail and a zig zag style beard on his face was looking quite pleased with himself as he set a framed autograph poster of Radioactive Man (Signed by Radioactive Man himself before his "disappearance.") behind his displayed window/desk.

This was Jeffrey "Jeff" Albertson, or as he was better known by to his fellow Springfieldians Comic Book Guy the owner of Android's the local comic book store and in recent months he like the rest of Springfield had been through a lot. But now..as he looked around at his shop finally not only fully repaired but fully stocked with his priceless comics, mangas, posters, and of course action figure merchandise it was looking things were finally ready to get back to normal.

Or rather he thought with his grin widening as he heard a voice call out from the back room, "Jeffrey i've got our lunch for that picnic ready!" things were going to be better than ever he thought as he turned to the door because not only had that old jerk Burns (Perhaps the only man who's greed and ego could surpass that of Lex Luthor himself!) lost everything but the dome for the all suffering it had caused had also brought him a bright diamond lining which exited the back room with a beautiful smile holding up a picnic basket his girlfriend (And the idea of him having a girlfriend was more shocking than the Shocker!) Kimiko Nakamura.

"Hmm it smells delicious~" Comic Book Guy said taking a step forward and exaggerated sniff of the basket causing Kimiko to giggle, "Oh stop it Jeff you silly there just sushi rolls and some sandwiches~" She said a tad bashfully only for Comic Book Guy to gently take her free hand in his own and give it a gentle squeeze, "Yes but anything you make is more delicious than the home cooking of Alfred Pennyworth himself!"

He declared grandly with Kumiko giving a blush but giggling the sound of which was like music to Jeff the Comic Book guys ears yes the dome had indeed brought a unexpected gift greater than any number 1 comic in mint condition and.. His mind subconsciously went to the extra weight in his shorts pocket if today went well than it would be a gift with no return policy~

But as he and Kumiko arm in arm exited the shop and headed towards the park for their picnic lunch a part of Comic Book Guy couldn't help but go back to when he first met this geeky beautiful angel~

(Some Months ago)

"Arg....worst...siege..ever." Comic Book Guy groused his genuine Bertha the Barbarian armor and battle axe carrying quite a bit of battle damage and the man himself looking like he's been through the ringer as he rubbed a bruised eye, "Though must..say." he said in sardonically tone, "For a woman that's given birth to eight children Apu's wife has excellent aim." He said before giving weary bitter sigh

He was returning home to his Comic Book Shop after a attempt to lead a siege of the Kwik-E-Mart, but rather returning a conquering hero he was returning home like a star trek fan who accidentally walked into a Star Wars convention...shame in disgrace.

And the sight of Apu kissing his admittedly hot wife in victory after he and the others had no choice but to give up and retreat seemed to strangely act like salt on the wound to him for some reason.

Though he shook his head trying to ignore with a frown as his stomach rumbled as he raised his hand rubbing, "Guess it's another night of old ramen.." He groused with a slight groan wishing he had managed to retrieve more supplies when the Dome first went up or at least done some grocery shopping before it happen!

And at that thought he looked up only to freeze he was at his beloved store/home only to realize the door which he most certainly thought he closed and locked (Or closed at least admittedly as looking back he was in a bit of a rush when he left eager to get the drop on Apu and he might have forgotten to lock up he thought with a internal) was open ajar causing him to narrow his eyes in anger and worry realizing that while he was busy trying to loot the Kwik-E-Mart some rat was trying to loot his supplies or even worse...his eyes widen in fear as he roared out, "My mint condition merchandise!"

He roared out rushing forward kicking open the door as he yelled out swinging and pointing his axe, "Stop right there you filthy...r..ats?" He began to say before he froze and trailed off noticing the form sitting in the corner crossed legged eating what appeared to be some crackers and reading a comic

A form who was looking at him in shock with breath taking eyes, "H-hello.." She said with a nervous stutter as she got up looking at him warily, "Is this your shop?" She asked gesturing around his store, "I'm sorry for intruding like this but the door was unlocked and I.."

As she explained her he found himself drifting away a bit in awe as he never thought he would see something so beautiful that couldn't be found in the artwork of a comic but here she stood Kumiko Nakamura. A aspiring manga artist who had come to the US in hopes of finding inspiration touring in her words their saddest cities.

Though she admitted to taking the trip sooner than original planned mostly so her father wouldn't try to stop her do to recent trouble that was starting to hit not only America but the rest of the world as well. Of course it seemed fate might have proven her father wiser than she wanted to believe because she ended up traveling through Springfield as a tourist when the dome fell.

"And i've been trying to survive on the streets ever since." She admitted to Jeff as she ate some of the noddles freshly heat up using a makeshift small fire before her eyes fell onto her lap, "I am sorry for intruding on your property like this." She told him as while looking away, "It's just with how bad everything was I needed something to cheer myself up and what better than a comic books store."

She asked with a faint weak giggle unknowingly stealing Comic Book guys breath away with the sound, "Um..ah yes..no harm done." He told with a slight shy bashful tone, "And..ah..I." He nervous stuttered out before taking a deep breath and called up the mantra of what would Spider-Man do, "If you really need a place to stay.." He shot her a nervous grin, "You're more than open to crash here."

He told her as she looked at him in surprise, "I'll even let you take the bed." He added hurriedly scratching the back of his neck, "i'm used to falling asleep on my computer chair anyway~" he said in a low tone but found himself taken aback as Kumiko pounced giving him a tight hug, "OH THANK YOU!"

Unseen to her his eyes were wide in shock before he found himself returning the hug with a dopey grin, "Best...day...ever." He said in low tone

And from there on for the following weeks trapped under the dome he had himself a new roomie, a new friend, or dare he say it more.

Than things finally reached their climax like a long awaited ending to a trilogy of movies when the government threaten to blow Springfield to bits!

"I spent my entire life collecting comic books." Jeff said sitting in the ruins of his shack holding a couple of comics in his hands half noticing the Bart Simpsons walking past out of the corner of his eyes, "Now there is only time to say.." He looked seemingly in sadness before going to his knees and raising his arms as he exclaimed, "LIFE WELL SPENT!"

Before hugging the comic books to his chest only to freeze as he heard a voice speak behind him, "Um Jeffrey-Kun.." Kumiko said walking up behind him with nervous body language, "Ah Kumiko.." He shot her a sad smile, "If I have to spend my last few moments on this Earth with anyone besides my precious comics I am glad it is you."

She gave a sad smile in return as he stood up though than flushed as she looked away rubbing her arm, "If this is the end.." She looked up into his eyes with a strange gleam in her own, "There is something I must confess.."

She said biting her lip as Comic Book Guy gave a blink, "Anything KumikmMMM!" He tried to reply only to find Kumiko jumping onto him in a shocking surprised kiss as she wrapped her arms around his neck and he...he could only return the kiss as his arms wrapped around her waist and they fell to the ground.

(Flashback End)

"Jeff is everything okay?" At the sound of his manga angel Comic Book Guy shook himself back to reality now sitting on a blanket in the park with a lovely prepared lunch sat before him and a even lovelier girl beside him, "Nothing at all just.." He gave her a grin, "Just thinking of how i'm luckier than Peter Parker and Clark Kent ever could be when it comes to love." He said causing Kumiko to give another melodious giggle.

Though unknown to Jeff recently in the past few weeks she had been struggling with something. She had received a visit from a agent of the government who was apparently in quite a disgruntled mood after a meeting with Abe Simpson Sama and she had learned ever since the Dome fell she had apparently been declared missing and her father had offered a reward for any information pertaining her where abouts.

When she was informed of this part of her wanted to contact him right away but she listen more as the agent spoke, and from what he said and what she read between the lines they had become aware of her sometime into her stay under the dome and had opted to cover her disappearance as another unsolved missing person case.

But now that likely wasn't a option anymore so they were offering a free paid trip back to her home country with heavy compensation on the requirement she never returned to Springfield or spoke about what happen here.

Naturally she refused not wanting to leave Jeff nor ignore the dishonorable actions these people had done to her and all of Springfield a town she was quickly falling in love with and calling home. So the agent than placed another option on the table as compensation full legal citizenship as a apology for getting "caught in the crossfire" he said before departing with a dark frown as she glared at his back.

Ever since than while she was happy to be able to stay in America without any worry of her papers expiring now a part of her was struggling with whether or not to contact her father. After all she knew he might or soon might believe her dead or worse and she loved her father not wanting to put him through that!

But at the same time as she gazed loveingly at the man beside her there was a chance her father might not only disapprove of Jeff but try and keep them apart, or even put her on lock down for her "own safety" if he learned what she went through. Though as those thoughts processed through her mind still unsure what to do on the matter, she gasped as she saw her boyfriend bring out a box from his pocket, and realized things were about to get more complicated.

But despite this, despite all the hardship she went through under the Dome, all she could feel was joy at that moment as she shouted out, "YES!" Before latching onto her love kissing him with all her strength and Jeff well besides thanking the comic book gods above for the fortune that was given to him in the greatest misfortune to ever hit springfield all he could think now was

BEST..PROPOSAL..EVER!

Now that voting is done, I'd like to use my omake reward, (+10 Bonus to any national action of your choice) on the Intrigue: Look Into Burns action.

COMIC BOOK GUY!?

I love him, but that was Seriously out of left field lol

Good Omake though!
Doubt anyone saw that one coming even when those episodes aired.

Then you have Moe actually not being the butt of the joke in terms of love on Season 33, where Maya came back and they actually managed to get it going again, guy actually proposed and Maya accepted.

If something despite many of the problems recent seasons have, they still manage to actually hit it out of the park on some episodes.

You know searching about Sideshow Bob, I am a little confused on the timeline.

Since rival reports mentions that he was on jail, but he had escaped on canon at the end of the great louse detective, to go and live in Italy in the Italian Bob.

At the end of that episode he was still a free man and wouldn't come back till Funeral for a fiend which was on seaon 19.

So we had one big divergence here, probably one at the end of the great louse detective where insstead of going free to Italy he was captured back.

In case season order for those episodes where 14, 17 and 19

Can QM's confirm this or it is spoiler?

Looks good! Much thanks for this!

Just one thing to note, all loyalty/opinion bonuses will be rounded down, not up.

It's in the mechanics post of you wanna check.

Aside from that, thank you!

Huh. The action to upgrade the Power Reactor has a +63 bonus if we use Fink.

10 (Abe's Learning Stat) + 35 (Fink's Learning Stat) + 10 (Walking Library) + 3 (Loyalty) + 5 (Learning Action involving nuclear power plant) = +63

83% chance of success, I would gamble a lot of money on those odds.

Edit:
Turns out its even better as pointed out bellow me, since It's Brilliant Brilliant, Brilliant! would apply instead of Walking Library, so it'd be +73. 93% chance of success. Nice

I wouldn't bet a lot of money, but yeah between our various bonuses we have fairly good modifiers on any actions to do with the plant. Even in a worst case scenario it's still only a regular failure and not a crit fail.

Yeah, if something the plant will always play a big role.

I say on turn 3 we get it up to standard.

Like no joke Burns was so cheap that the plant is a literal death trap with emergency doors being literally painted ones.

So in the possible case of failures we at least need to get the thing up to standards in case of accidents or that Uncle Sam sent us unplanned inspections.

Actually for that action it would be 73, walking library is for any research action. For building/creating/upgrading stuff, the Trait It's Brilliant Brilliant, Brilliant! Applies, giving a +20 to the roll, though it does raise the critical failure threshold.

Frink is a really strong learning hero unit. You guys got lucky having rolled so well on the recruitment action.

Frink is already helping a lot and it's only the second turn can't wait to push the reactor to the 100% and nab fusion, although if we do that off the start, we don't get the opinion boost from upgrading the plant disposal methods.

It was actually mentioned in the Discord channel that those two actions aren't mutually exclusive; doing one of them doesn't completely remove the need to do the other.

A fans thoughts( unfortunately non canon)
Hiya everyone had another this time smaller omake angle hit me that I hope you like. This time approaching a angle inspired from a Paw Patrol villain quest (That's sadly entered hiatus) and some of the omakes on it. (A few of which I admit I wrote myself~)

forums.sufficientvelocity.com

How Ba-a-a-ad Can I Be? (A Paw Patrol SUPERVILLAIN Quest (Yes, Really)) Superhero

Join Johanna Kairi, a.k.a. The Puppeteer, as she plans to be a SUPERVILLAIN!!! Join her in her pursuit for power, wealth, fame, and whatever she seeks, all the while dodging do-gooder pups and their allies. You also have to navigate her civilian life as she tries not to out herself in a town...

The angle for the omake is simple and actually one that could probably be reused numerous times in quite a few ways by any writer, and it's basically this. What if the events of A Hellfish flys again were the actually seasons/episodes of the Simpsons after the first 18 seasons and kick starting in the aftermath of the movie?

By which I mean a approach of writing omake for viewers in Hellfish Simpsons timeline and their thoughts on this approach for the Simpsons.

It's a angle that figured be fun to explore and wanted to share it in case other contributors and readers of this fantastic quest wanted to try their hands at omake with this angle. I know there's the whole crossover angle to consider but still fun to do for omake~

On crossover figure either acknowledge that aspect of Simpsons bringing in other Disney shows in new ways and forms, or just treat it as normal in way that various shows characters are from don't exist in omake timeline and are instead introduced as Simpsons characters.

But that's enough explaining time to have some fun by giving example so allow me to start things off with my own attempt at this angle with this small omake, hope you all enjoy. :) I also hope it inspires others to try omake or 2 like this~

Admit i've become fan of not only nega-quest omakes but viewer reception omakes~

A Fans Thoughts

The screen opens with a teenager sitting on a computer chair with Simpson merchandise seen in the background, "Hey all it's El Barto Rulz here with your latest on all things Simpsons." The teen said leaning back into the chair with a smirk as he looked into his computers camera while he picked up and sipped at a soda through a Simpsons brand wacky straw.

"Now than unless you've been living under a rock." The teen started to click and tap their fingers together, "Than you know season 19 which happens to the be first season to premiere since the Simpsons Movie hit theaters to the joys of fans everwhere."

The teenager said with a smile while pointing toward a poster of the Simpsons movie behind him, "Which speaking of fans everywhere wondered where the show would go after the movie." He picked up and started to mess around with a Homer Simpson stuff toy, "Some thought with the movie we might soon see a end to the longest running animated series of all time." The teenager let out a snort, "Crazy I know.."

He said giving a life while he made the Homer Simpson nod in agreement, "While others like myself....well." The El Barto Rulz just gave a shrug, "we just figured it'd be a return to the status quo." He admitted to his viewers, "Great episodes but same classic formula. " He explained before giving a chuckle as he shook his head, "Though it looks like we were wrong."

He admitted his voice carrying a tinge of disbelief, "Because season 19 has debuted and played out in a way that implies the Simpsons formula that we've known for years is about to change forever."

"Because not only...NOT ONLY!" He exclaimed holding up his finger, "Does this season introduce greater depth of continuity but.." They once more gestured toward the movie poster, "By not only acknowledging the events of the movie but have it start in the direct aftermath of it with Springfield still in ruins from it...and."

El Barto Rulz let out a little laugh as they shook their heads in open disbelief, "They kick things off with the status quo of Springfield changing potentially forever with Burns losing all of his money and property in a poker game of all things to none other than Abe Simpson!"

The teen delved into a mini fit of laughter as a scene pic from said episode depicting Abe Simpson, Mr. Burns, Krusty, and Rich Texan playing poker was displayed beside him to his viewer, "And..and I know what you're thinking." He said sending a nod to the camera, "Sounds like it'd be a great episode in itself but it play out like classic Simpson formula with Burns getting his fortune back and things returning to normal.."

He let out a snort, "And i'll admit even I thought that I first when I first started watching the episode." He said taking another sip from the soda before continuing, "But it looks like the shows writers might be determined to prove us wrong, and take the Simpsons in a new direction after the movie."

He leaned back into the chair, "The episode itself is actually quite tame but at the same time enjoyable." He looked directly into his camera, "We explore how the Springfield citizens are adjusting after the Doom Dome was destroyed and we see various familiar faces working together to repair Springfield and bring it back into tip top shape."

"All while of course Abe is trying to adjust to his new fortune, home, and of course position of power as not only the owner of the power plant but now the most powerful man in Springfield." El Barto Rulz let out a little laugh, "And must admit loved the scene of Homer's woo hoo when he found out Burns was out and his DOH that echoed across Springfield when he found out his old man was his new boss hehe classic~"

"But that aside we that Burns losing everything and Abe coming out on top isn't the only immediate change planned for the show." He said with a excited smile growing on his face, "Smithers of course follows Burns out to wherever he's disappeared off too paving the way for Ned Flanders to enter the scene as Abe Simpson new right hand."

"And not only that we see Flanders conduct various job interviews for Abe." The teen let out a sardonic chuckle, "And man does the show highlight how hard the town got hit by the dome. " They shook their head, "Because not only has the Springfield mob fallen apart but we got none other than Apu applying for a job and we learn the Kwik-E-Mart stores have shut their doors across North America leaving Apu in need of new employment."

The teen gave a wince, "And let me tell you unemployment does not suit Apu at all." He said bringing up a pic of Apu and Ned Flanders with Apu looking ready to leap across the table and shake Ned begging for a job, "So yeah it's looking like this new season of Simpson will really be shaking up Springfield that's for sure."

El Barto Rulz said with a excited smile, "While at the same time keeping to their roots and remembering their history." The teen tilted their head, "How you might ask?" They shot the camera a smirk, "Easy not only does the first episode give us a scene of Homer after being forgiven by his friends have a little reunion of the Be-Sharpes as they sing at Moes Tavern...but." The teen leaned into the Camera, "It ends on one heck of a cliffhanger with Abe Simpson walking into his formerly Mr. Burns office to find none other than his ex-wife Mona Simpson waiting for him."

A picture of the scene in question appeared on the screen.

"Hehe and I don't know about you but i'm eager to see how the reunion plays out~" The teen leaned back into their chair, "And how the rest of the episodes of season 19 or beyond will play out with this new approach to the classic Simpsons formula."

"But until than.." El Barto Rulz sent a salute toward the camera, "This has been El Barto Rulz with all things Simpsons and remember don't have a cow man~"

???
Break Sideshow Bob out of Prison.
DC 50
Result: 88+???= Sneakily Critical Success!

Apparently, things haven't been as quiet in Springfield as you have though. It just has been revealed that Sideshow Bob has escaped prison!

There hasn't been a confirmation of how long ago he had escaped, but according to the reports, the fellow hadn't exited his cell in a while, and when the guards came to check on him, they found a carefully hidden hole and just a mannequin of him with the exact appearance!

According to one of the other prisoners, one fox lady, a few weeks ago, she heard some weird noises coming out of his cell in the dead of the night, but when she tried to notify the guards, they just ignored her!
This…is troubling, you might need to investigate this, you don't want that palm tree-haired guy to try anything funny with your family!

Action to investigate Sideshow Bob's breakout has been unlocked!
As much as we love Sideshow Bob, he really seems like a very specific target to help escape from springfield penitentiary.

Like sure the guy has a lot crimes to his name, but the thing he will always be known for was always going for a person in specific.

That being Bart Simpson.

Where I am going with this you ask?

Considering the fact that none of the kings really have a lick of knowledge of who we are, nor reasons to mess with Springfield they are scrubbed out of the list of suspects.

Burns is also out since this action is not under his rolls.

If something it is almost like our mysterious roller knew what they were doing and who they were going for.

And in our short term the only people who really have access to the info on who Sideshow Bob really is and would want him to get out to get back to us is none other than Uncle Sam.

Think about it, not only we gave them the middle finger by blowing up the dome, which probably costed a lot of taxpayer money, but also didn't play ball with them.

And if you know Uncle Sam is that he is one spiteful son of a bitch, they are the only one with a motive to get back at us at the moment, alongside having access to info that tells them who Sideshow Bob is and also having the opportunity to do so.

And without doubt they would want to silence anyone that would even dare to speak about the dome and what better way to silence everyone that going for what is now one of the most powerful families in Springfield, Quimby can be bribed, same for the rest really, but us won't really keep the lid shut and the last thing they need now is the springfield scandal to blow up.

Hell should springfield information get out I am sure the Kings would start playing shenanigans with Uncle Sam to make them lose even more power.

It could be possible, but not very probable.

For starters, if the government wanted to hurt us, I imagine they probably would've sent someone after Abe directly instead breaking someone out to hurt his grandson, especially since if he found out that's what happened then things would likely escalate.

Also look at it this way: We aren't that big of a threat or player in the grand scheme of things.

As of right now the US is already trying to deal with all the other Kings in the country who are running entire states, or even entire regions (Xantos or something). And as said before, we're a Prince, yes we have power but we don't even remotely have as much power as the Kings.

In Doofquest, players had the option to lobby against shit like the SRA and lobby for Toon rights from almost the get go. We don't have that option because of how little influence we have. We're the De facto leader of one town, who would give a shit about someone's grandpa ranting about Superhero rights or Toon rights? Compare that to Doof, the ruler of the Tri-State Area campaigning for Toon rights or Shego bashing the government for the SRA? It's a no-brained who the people are going to listen to.

The point is I don't think the Government is going to want to waste time trying to bully Abe into silence and obedience when they've got LITERAL super-villains playing Warlord not only in they're backyard, but in their own House.

And did I mention that they're doing this juggling act while trying to keep up perhaps a dozen or more different Masquerades (Magic and Aliens being just two of them)? Because they've got that going for them too.

Yeah, if I had to guess I'd guess that whoever broke Bob out are a criminal group that's looking at Springfield like prime real estate now that the local crime family is on the back foot. They send a few feelers around and hear about this infamous criminal genius who's locked up in a cardboard prison and decide to recruit a little local help for their efforts.

My assumption would be that Bob just did that thing he keeps canonically doing where he broke out on his own and/or was let out by an obviously flawed bail service that was also under a lot of strain from the apocalypse thing.
