Hey, hey! Sorry for the double posting kids, but to make up for it here's a new omake about everyone's favorite clown~
A Sad Clown
Hyman Krustosky got out of his car wearing a worried frown as he looked upon his destination a apartment building still need in repairs from the dome before turning at the sound of a voice, "Oh thank goodness you're here." And saw none other than Sideshow Mel his sons friend and sidekick on his ridiculous Krusty the Clown tv (Oh vey the things the young people watch these days) wearing a distressed worried look as he walked up to him, "Perhaps you might be able to talk sense into him."
He told Hyman as he nervously rubbed his hands together before turning and leading the way into the apartment building to find the source of their shared worries his son Herschel Krustosky or as he's known these days Krusty the Clown.
"He's in here.." Mel told him as they came to one of the apartment doors before gently opening with a crack into a room with many frankly disturbing arkworks depicting clowns getting torture, maimed, and killed all likely done by the owner of the apartment a former one night stand of his sons (who he believed was named erin.) who not only clearly held a grudge even after all these year but was also the mother of his only granddaughter Sophie.
Who he thought with a slight sad sigh as his eyes went to the form of his son (who was a absolute mess) sitting on a couch while holding what seemed to be a picture frame, "My son.." He called out in his best soothing voice as Mel and he step in with Krusty simply giving a grunt, "Hey dad.."
But didn't look away from the picture as Mel and his father took seats beside, "So..." Hyman hesistated for a moment before his eyes fell onto the picture his son was holding depicting his son and his granddaughter laughing together joyfully and he gave a weary sighed feeling the weight of the world upon him, "Still no word or sign of them."
Krusty gave a bitter snort, "No dad they're in the kitchen baking cookies." He retorted with some barb as he shot the man a dirty look, "If I knew where my daughter was you think i'd be here acting like a miserable loser!" He snapped glaring at Hyman and actually cause the man to flinch never having seen his son like this though as Mel looked worried that his idea to call in the big guns in Krusty father had backfire Krusty face fell as he sighed sadly, "Arg..i'm sorry dad."
He said rubbing his eyes, "It's just...I." He struggled trying to explain only to feel the comforting hand of Hyman on his shoulder squeezing it in reassurance. "It's okay my son..I understand." He told his son in a soothing voice and he did truly.
Because yes the town had been through a lot thanks to that blasted dome but Krusty in particular had been extra hard in these times.
All thanks to the disappearance of his daughter and her mother sometime after the dome fell. Krusty himself was looking back at the picture in his hand in a frown wondering what happen to Sophie.
He remembered coming to the apartment a couple of days into the dome wanting to talk to his daughters mother about Sophie and even her staying with him during the crisis. As he wanted to keep his daughter close and make sure she was safe.
Even if it meant potentially putting his life at risk at getting killed in his sleep by her mother....but for Sophie he found that was a risk he was willing to take. Only when he arrived there was no trace of them with signs of not only someone packing in a hurry but signs of some kinda struggle in his daughter room with this very crack picture frame laying on the floor being all he found.
And in the weeks following as he tried to survive the dome there was no sign of them anywhere in town! Which didn't make sense at all there was no way they could have gotten out right?
He thought with a frown as he sighed and even after the dome was gone he had still had no luck finding them at all, and with the fact that he was falling on hard time he wasn't exactly rolling in the extra dough to pay for higher level resources to do so.
Honestly it was like the world was playing a cruel joke on him, after the disaster with the dome Springfield seemed to be heading towards a brighter more hopeful future.
Repairs were going good and that old miser Burns had lost everything. Only while everyone seemed to raising high he was falling hard like a rock.
His daughter was missing, he was starting to face hard time financial wise (and paying for Sophie search wasn't helping matters), and just to add a cherry on top his show wasn't doing the best (partial do to the fact he was having trouble bringing his A-game do to Sophie always being on his mind.) and he was starting to worry it might get the axe if that didn't change.
Also there was the fact his former sidekick Sideshow Bob had escaped from jail. Thankfully he and Bob had buried the hatchet and the guy had stopped trying to kill him. But with how his luck had been going a part of Krusty couldn't help but feel paranoid.
While wondering if he should play it safe by looking over his shoulder and be on the guard for Bob backsliding and trying some plot to kill him again.
Though even if that worst case scenario happened Bob was more likely to go after that Bart Simpson kid first. Which honestly Bobs grudge and obsession with the kid was just creepy at this point he thought with a grimace.
But the clown shook off those worries (Though he hope the kid could handle Bob again. Especially since he was 50 percent sure Sophie had a crush on him hehehe~) as he told his father and Mel all of his worries, "I just don't know what to do!" He yelled as he started to pace in front of them, "Sophie out there and I can't do anything!"
He yelled as he threw the picture frame to the ground before giving a bitter snort, "Though honestly it's not like I was ever able to do anything for her in the first place." He said as he frowned feeling a wave of misery overcome him as he fell to his knees, "I'm nothing but a failure a sad pathetic clown who can't make anybody laugh, or take care of his only daughter."
He said before he started to cry into his hands as Mel and his father came to his side, "Krusty please don't cry." Mel implored as he rubbed his boss and friend back not liking seeing him like this, "Yes my son this is no time to drown yourself in your misery."
Hyman told Krusty in a strong tone with Krusty giving a watery snort, "Oh it's not than when is?!" He asked with a roll of his eyes, "I've only got to worry about my missing daughter, my show going down the drain, and a escaped psycho who may or may try to kill me." He said with a grumble, "Exactly your daughter."
Hyman told him in a stern tone looking into his eyes as Krusty gave a blink, "I won't lie you have your faults...many many faults." Hyman said with Krusty sending him a look, "Hey!" As he snapped in defense only for his father to carry on, "But you at your heart are a good man and.." He gave a smile, "You are a good father who loves his daughter and would do anything for you.." He arched a brow, "Are you not?"
Krusty frowned rubbing his neck as Hyman and Mel helped him up (IThe latter giving a blink as he noticed what appeared to be some paper sticking out of the broken frame behind the photo), "Um..well..yeah of course." He said with his tone at first unsure before getting more determined, "Than tell me.." Hyman gesture toward his sons current lackluster state, "is spending your time crying like a sad lump helping her?"
"No." Krusty said looking down, "Than what are you going to do?" His father asked and as the question echoed in his head he clenched his fists as he replied back, "I'm going to find my daughter." He said with a nod as his father smiled proudly before Krusty groaned, "But that still doesn't change the fact i've still got no idea where to look."
He told his father not noticing Mel had bent down to investigate what he saw carefully picked up the folded up paper and unfolded it and seemed to be reading something before he gave a gasp, "But I think I do!" He yelled dramatically as he stood up and showed the paper to the two allowing them to read it.
"Dad it's Sophie and I really hope you found this." Krusty read aloud as he took the paper from Mel, "But moms been acting strange the past couple of days and heard her talking to someone on the phone about getting .." Krusty paused before yelling then ext part in shock, "OUT OF THE DOME! As Mel and Hyman exchaned worried look while Krusty continued to read, "I'm not sure how or what's going on, something about mom doing some work for them in exchange or something."
Krusty began to grit his teeth feeling his rage spike as the signs of someone packing in a hurry, the struggle in his daughters room, and now this..it was painting a picture that was making him angrier than he's ever been! A rage that was targeted at the mother of his child as he continued to read, "I'm going to try to sneak out and get you so we can leave together but just in case I can't i'm hiding this note so mom doesn't find it.."
"Hopefully we can all escape together and tell the world what they've done to Springfield." He said with a frown, "But if we can't...than I got a bad feeling mom wants to abandon you and everyone else and I won't do that." Despite his anger he gave a proud smile one that was shared by his grandfather, "It might take a while but if mom does take me out of the dome i'll try to get past her and expose what the government did."
Krusty said aloud before giving a weak laugh, "Hehe that's my girl." He said with a slight proud smile, "Yes and now we know what happen to her." Hyman said with a upset frown, "Yeah.." Krusty eyes narrowed in anger though a part of him already probably knew it was still hard to believe, "her mother sold out Springfield and took her outside the dome."
He said to the other two as Mel raised the most important question, "But where are they now?" He asked rubbing his chin with a worried frown, "It's been months since the domes destruction and you've still received no word from Sophie." Krusty frowned as he knew very well that wasn't a good sign.
Best case scenario Sophie mother had her on some kinda lock down preventing her from contacting him or anyone else in springfield...but worst case scenario. He shook his head not even wanting to think about it...but he knew Erin hated his guts ever since that one night stand that lead to him ruining that mission of hers. But even despite that she'd never do anything to harm their daughter...would she?
But he shook that off as he started to walk out of the apartment, "I don't know but I do know this.." He stopped at the door way and looked over at his father and Mel, "One way or another i'm going to find my daughter and.." He turned around and exclaimed, "i'm going to kick her mothers ass!"
And that's the omake~ Hope as always everyone enjoys the work.
I decided to approach from a angle of the mother of Krusty daughter Sophie who's named Erin and was a former soldier that was discharged do to him getting contacted and made a offer by a unknown party during the dome crisis.
Now she and Sophie have disappeared into the wind and there's no sign of them. But Krusty isn't going to throw in the towl just yet, he's determined to find his daughter and have "words" with her mother. Though who contacted Erin and what is the status of the mother and daughter you might ask?
Well if this makes canon that's for the events of the quest to decide~
