A Hellfish flys again! ( a Simpsons X DVV CK2 Quest)

By the way, I suggest that once we get everything under control, we invest some time getting to know Ms. Beakley better. I'd like to unlock her as a proper unit. And maybe, eventually, get connections to Scrooge.

Gloria and Bates: Bruh, what are we, chopped liver?

Lol

In all seriousness, yeah, Even if Scrooge is kinda penniless right now, he's probably a more useful connection than the Green Family and.... Actually, dang, Bates didn't really have any connections to anyone besides Monkey Fist.

I made myself sad/hj

Which let's be honest here isn't going to be Homer.* So there's a possibility we're going to have to set up a regency since it's going to be a while before any one of the grandkids can take over.
I think we can make him a viable heir. It'll be really tough, though. And he'll probably have to stop drinking. And force him to go to college. And force him to delegate properly.

And maybe get that crayon out of his head, yeah.

I mean my idea was mostly give him enough of an allowance trough Marge and go out there to finally get back to his dream job.

He lit just went back to the plant because of Maggie.

It's working at a bowling alley right? At least that's what a quick google search says.

Yeah, once we get a good Income flow going we can do that. I mean it can't be to expensive to finance him. Probably one income every four turns would be more then enough. Possibly discounting some of the more expensive Simpsons shenanigans.

Hell, we'll let him open his own bowling alley! ....There's an idea, actually. Let him get some business experience in something he actually wants to do.

Syndrome Captures the Birthday Bandit!!!

You ordered Willie to go and catch the Birthday Bandit before Burns could get his sleazy hands on him. He just nodded and said something you barely were able to understand before he ripped his shirt off, gave a battle cry and went to your mansion to rally the band of hillbillies that were amping them, bringing all of them to swarm the Junkyard.

It had been a few hours since that and you haven't heard a sound from him, some witnesses say that the Scottish man and the hillbillies rushed the place, and there were some loud noises happening, but it has been quiet since.

With a weary heart you decided to go to the Junkyard and take a look yourself at the situation…what you found arriving there caught you off guard.

The place was a mixture of trash of all kinds and…pies? Almost every surface of the place was covered in dough…including Willie and the Hillbillies. All of them were knocked out in the ground covered in pie and with several bruises.

You had to rush them to the hospital, filling the place over and had to wait a few hours for them to recover and for Willie to explain what happened…and you were surprised to hear the events that transpired.

Willie and the army had arrived just at the same moment as Sideshow Bob and that weird Kikimura Gal, all of them entering the junkyard ready to catch the clown…and the Bandit was ready for them.

The guy had pie weapons of almost every variety…pie cannons, pie hammers, pie siege weapons…it was a delicious and sugary assault that easily knocked all of them out.

With Sideshow Bob or Kikimura nowhere on side, you had hoped that the Bandit had somehow managed to escape, but after questioning some people that were passing by close to the place, you found out that somehow, the multiple syndromes had managed to catch the bandit. Having flown out of the Junkyard, with a clown hanging by one leg, all battered up.

You guess it's game over for the Bandit.

RESULTS: Willie and the Hillbilly Army were defeated by the Birthday Bandit! Glomgold and Burns failed to capture the Bandit! Syndrome managed to catch him and won't give the reward to anyone.

There will be one less clown in the world in just a few days.

Result: 6(Roll)+25(Bots Intrigue)=31!
=43(Roll)+13(Abe Diplomacy)+16(Fat Tony)-4(D2=1! Let's go for a ride)+1(Loyalty)-15(½ Of Bots Sabotage Roll)+10(TheNotoriousSMP!Omake bonus)=64

Success!!!

Fat Tony was content with finally getting to do this. He took to the task quite happily.

He started by putting a few discret feelers out, put the word out that there was someone wanting to recruit "People with few scrupulous and not afraid to get their hands dirty". In no time, you have people coming to the place interested in the job.

Everything went smoothly, except for the instance where Officer Wiggum arrived to the place, having received a call of a gathering of criminals on your Power Plant, but Tony was able to easily dissuade the Officer of such.

In no time Fat Tony had once again minions for his Mafia.

Results: Fat Tony has managed to recruit Minions for the Mafia, obtained Trait Mob Mentality! +2 to Martial Combat rolls. Minions will need training first before they can act on Fat Tony Standards as a proper Mafia.

Unlocked Fat Tony Personal Action to train Minions!

Unlocked National Action "Obtain Weapons for the Mafia"

–[X] Stewardship: Bring The Power Plant Up To Code (DC 40) (Apu) (2 Income)
Result: 20(Roll)+8(Abe stewardship)+25(Apu)+2(Loyalty)=55

Success!!!

It took Apu the whole 2 months but he finally did it. He managed to upgrade the company up to the Standards indicated in all working and safety norms. There had to be lots of renovation done to the Power Plant, but you can't deny that the results speak for themselves.

The Power Plant is working now better than ever. Its generating more power than ever, making the citizens really grateful to you. You feel proud for having managed to do this

Results: Power Plant up to code now! Increase Income gained by 1! Increase the Opinion of the Citizens of Springfieldf towards Abe and the Power Plant!

Increase DC to Assault the Power Plant by 10!
Gain a +5 Bonus to contested intrigue Rolls against Infiltrations!

–[X] Stewardship: Upgrade Springfield Prison (DC 50) (Quimby Free) (Wilhelm)
Result: 25(Rolll)+8(Abe Stewardship)+20(Kaiser)+2(Loyalty)+20(Gleeman Omake Bonus)+10(nightmaster!Omake Bonus)=85
Success!!!

You realize if you're going to have a literal mutant running around in there, your prison has to be more up to snuff. Thankfully, Kaiser Wilhelm II is more than up to the task.

First, he goes to the prison and fires anyone he deems not capable of fully handling his regiment (you swoop in and give them a generous severance package to avoid festering thoughts of vengeance) and then trains those who remain. By the end of it, they are a fierce force to be reckoned with.

Then he orders to dig a hole around the prison and fill it with barbed wire, dissuading them from escape and making anyone who tries in for a painful time. Finally, he asks the warden for some advice, and he suggests buying extra security cameras. After having what those are explained to him, the Kaiser happily gives the warden enough to buy a comical amount. The warden also buys a well-trained hawk to circle the prison and caw if anyone tries to escape.

All in all, the prison feels like an actual prison now rather than a weekend getaway!

RESULT: Springfield Prison upgraded! Will be able to hold your run of the mill capes now! DC 120 (Martial) for someone to attack the prison and DC of 90(Intrigue) for someone to try to sneak in or out of the prison!

–[X] Stewardship: Restructure The Power Plant's Administration (DC 55) (Free) + Gil Gunderson (+5)
Result: 81(Roll)+8(Abe Stewardship)+5(Gil)+10(TheNotoriousSMP!Omake Bonus)=104
Success!

While you had Apu focus on making sure the Power Plant was up to code, you instead took the job of finishing restructuring the administration of the place.

Luckily it wasn't so hard now, with the job that Apu had already accomplished and the help of that fellow Gil you managed to create new departments, make an appropriate chain of command as well as a few guidelines for proper documentation and work discipline for the employees.

At the end of the month, the power plant had a new Administration ready!

Result: Unlocked 2nd Stewardship Action! Unlocked Administrative Manager Position!

Choose a Hero Unit to take this position:

Fat Tony: When doing an action that uses income either half the cost or not waste income at all (A 1d6 will be rolled, on a 4 or 5, the cost is halved, unless the cost is 1 income, on a 6, the action does not use income at all)

Apu: Reroll the first critical failure that happens on an action that occurs on the Power Plant.

Moe: Reduces the DC of Stewardship Actions that Involve Buying stuff as his haggling skills allow him to obtain them with more ease.

Willhelm: All Stewardship Actions get a -5 to their DCs and each turn a random stewardship Action gets another -5 to their DC (It can stack) as long as kaiser continues to hold the position, once removed the DCs go back to normal

–[X] Intrigue: Flush Spies from the Power Plant (DC120) (Finale & Mona) Omake Bonus (+45)
Result:37(Roll)+30(The finale Intrigue)+29(Mona)+2(Loyalty)+10(Dr.Dinosaur!Omake Bonus)+10(Catxfighter_3_1_!Omake Bonus)+15(Wabbitking!Omake Bonus)+10(Master Fireball!Omake Bonus)+10(nightmaster!Omake Bonus)= 143
Success!!!

To say you are surprised this Went so well was an understatement.

It was small at first, two of Bots' more moral spies coming forward after that union meeting Carl held and coming clean about their involvement. They admit to just being scared with all this change they weren't going to be able to keep up and would be fired soon, dooming themselves and their families. You decide to cut them some slack for having the decency to come clean and let them stay on, though you do have to demote them as some form of punishment, which they seem to understand.

And things just went on the upswing from there, the duo informing Finale and Mona of those they knew about. Apparently Bots realized something like this might happen and made sure no one but her knew every single person involved. But it ultimately didn't matter, the duo of elders finding even those they weren't informed of in weeks.

Bots seemed to realize she was on the ropes and clearly got desperate, as she herself was finally found trying to bribe Fat Tony's new men into turning on him. Thankfully, they just lied about being onboard, pocketing her money and then immediately calling Mona and the Finale.

She's no match for a sleep dart, despite her best efforts to run.

And with that, Burns' little spy operation in your company was gone almost as quickly as it was formed. Yay!

REWARD: You have successfully rooted out and gotten rid of All of Bots' spies, so Burns no longer has complete eyes on you. Lucille Botcowski arrested, depriving Burns of a Hero Unit!

–[X] Intrigue: Develop Traps For The Company (DC 75) (Finale & Moe, & Bart)=138
Result: 66(Roll)+30(The Finale Intrigue)+17(Moe)+24(Bart)+1(Loyalty) +15 (Prankster Extraordinaire)=153
Critical Success!!!

This was extra successful due to your grandson showing up and insisting to get to help as thanks for rescuing him from Kamp Krusty.

You feel a bit reluctant to accept his help, unsure what he could do that was both not dangerous and he would be successful at, but you quickly realized what to do when Moe showed up to ask for advice on making some traps.

Bart took to helping him and the Finale with gusto, setting up some traps like secret wire triggered bowling balls, some boxing gloves that came out of the ground If you stepped on a certain floor tile, a paddle (not Jasper's, thankfully) that came out and hit people if they pushed in the wall too much…

It's all a bit Home Alone, but if that movie showed you anything, it's that such traps could be quite effective! You feel pretty proud of your grandson.

REWARD: The DC to Infiltrate or steal from the Power Plant increases by +15!

–[X] Intrigue: Set Up Some Patrols In Springfield (DC 50) (Finale, Jasper) (1 Income)
Result: 1(Roll)+30(The Finale Intrigue)+11(Jasper)+1(Loyalty)=43
NAT 1 CRITICAL FAILURE!!!

Unfortunately…things didn't end well for this task.

You had the Finale and Jasper set up patrols hoping to put some pressure to Burns. And while you expected both old men to deal with this quite easily…you didn't account for the Finale ending up sleeping for a week straight.

The guy had worked overtime rooting out spies with Mona and setting traps with Moe and your grandson, so it was expected that he needed a break.

Jasper decided to take care of this all by himself and enlisted the Springfiled Police to assist them to organize patrols with some of the Plant workers as well as install a few cameras for surveillance

Officer Wiggum misunderstood what Jasper asked out of the police and ended up making a bigger mess, bothering lots of the citizens, interrogating any person about Burns to a very annoying degree as well as breaking all the cameras and other equipment set up cause he thought they seemed "Suspicious".

People aren't exactly happy with you for what happened.

Result: Springfield police ended up annoying the whole town. Some Public opinion is lost with Springfield citizens. Wasted 1 income! All factions hidden on Springfield get reduced DC for their actions next turn!

–[X] Learning: Increase The Safety Of Your Reactors (DC 70) (Frink)
Result: 48(Roll)+10(Abe Learning)+35(Frink)+20(Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant!)+5(Carl and Lenny)+5(Advanced Facilities)+3(Loyalty)=126
Success!

Frink, as per usual, is more than happy to throw himself into some upgrading of the facility.

He seems genuinely disturbed by how incredibly poor the reactor safety is. It seems to him to be a genuine miracle you aren't all dead by now.

You try not to dwell on that too much.

Regardless, he tirelessly works to fix it, double checking everything and fixing up the old, practically held together by gum and duct tape (he claims he DID find some gum in there, but you can't tell if he's joking, and you don't WANT to know) reactors until they are actually in a notably good condition.

Good thing, too. After you and Homer were just starting to patch things up, would suck if you had to fire him if something went wrong.

REWARD: Your nuclear reactors were successfully upgraded! +10 to the DC for them to go wrong and/or be sabotaged.

–[X] Occult: Look For Magically Inclined People (DC 25) (Lena)
Result:66(Roll)+0(Abe Occult)+22(Lena Occult)+2(Loyalty) +10 (Nightmaster!Omake Bonus) =100

–[X] Abe
—[X] Spend Time With Your Son
Result: 9(Roll)+30(Saved the Kids)+15(TheNotoriousSMP!Omake bonus)= 54

You weren't sure what to expect. It was… nerve wracking. Sure, you had saved Homer's kids, and he would probably always be grateful for that. But that by no means meant he was forced to forgive you.

As you stood outside your son's house, you almost decided to leave. Maybe it was better to just cut your losses and take the small victory he allowed you to stay in your grandkids' lives.

And then the door opened.

"....Dad." Homer nodded.

".. Son." You responded, shifting awkwardly.

The silence lingers for a moment before he lets you in. He gives you a hug. It's quick, but if you died right then and there, you think you'd be content.

You sit together and watch TV, occasionally talking during commercials.

Things aren't suddenly rainbows and sunshine between you, but they're better than they've been in years.

REWARD: Things are by no means perfect between you, but you and Homer's relationship is on the mend.

—[X] Hang Out With One Of Your Workers, Omake Bonus (+10)
—-[X] Mona Simpson
Result: 77(Roll)+10(Boohoo!Omake Bonus)= 87

You weren't exactly sure if this was a good idea, but screw it. If you can be around Homer more easily nowadays, why shouldn't you try to patch things up more with Mona as well?

As soon as she returns from her trip to your old home, you go to talk to her. She seems mildly surprised, but by no means complains, especially when you offer to do whatever she wants to do.

You end up going to the park and feeding the animals together, occasionally cleaning up litter here and there but mostly just talking and catching up.

It's a little awkward at first, but by the end of it you feel more connected than you have in a long, long time.

You obviously can't read her mind to know if the feeling is mutual, but Mona seems happy. That's nice.

REWARD: You get a +10 Opinion increase with Mona!

—[X] Jog Your Memory
Result: 71

You decide with a little of your free time left to just relax in your office and just… think.

You had done a lot in your long life. Maybe if you really thought about it you would think up something you did that was useful to your current situation. Granted, you doubted even YOU would forget if you had ended up In this exact situation before, but surely there was something vaguely similar you could extrapolate from.

And then it randomly hit you as Bart walked past to go back home.

You used to run a laser tag business! Kids loved it. Maybe it wasn't something to consider immediately, but it could be useful for income gain later if push comes to shove.

As you pushed away an old Duff beer can to write this down before you forgot, the fact you used to make tonics also hit you. Man, you were on a roll today!

You make sure to write both these restored memories down.

They could be useful later!

REWARD: Abe remembers a few things! National Actions related to Laser tag business and making tonics unlocked.

—[X] Practice Your Lying Skills (1/2 Progress)
Result: Increase intrigue by 1d2+1

Roll: 1+1=2!

Abe's Intrigue is now 18!!!

You can't say you're against lying, especially if it's absolutely necessary. It's just you're not the best at It.

But that changes now!

You find some Videos online (with some help from Bart) that you watch that give you tips on what to do to avoid making it obvious you are lying, and how best to lie without risking getting caught (Don't tell multiple lies at once unless you are absolutely certain you can track of them all, only tell lies so small no one would think you would bother to lie about it or lies so big no one would think you would be stupid enough to lie about it, etc.)

You also decide to ask Bart for tips too. You don't want to be rude, but if anyone can tell a lie, it's him.

By the end of it, you won't know for certain until the next you have to lie to someone obviously, but you feel pretty confident about your skills having improved.

Result:88

–[X] Jasper
—[X] Try To Talk To The Mysterious Hecklers
Result: 20(Roll)+10(TheNotoriousSMP!Omake Bonus)=30

Jasper returns to the theater to hopefully find those hecklers to distract himself from the irritation of dealing with Wiggum.

He looks up reviews and goes to the worst reviewed play they have. Unfortunately, he oversleeps and arrives so late there's only a few minutes left, and the hecklers seemed to be gone by then.

Jasper is annoyed, but doesn't seem too affected thankfully. You suppose it just made him more determined.

–[X] Frink
—[X] Study That Weird Magic Book
Result: 7
46+7=53/100

Frink is studying that book again, and the announcement of you hiring occult people seemed to make him extra determined. However, it's a bit of a double-edged sword, as he puts a little too much into it, not taking any breaks for days and getting super exhausted.

By the end of it he falls asleep at his desk and hasn't really properly absorbed much of anything. He grumbles irritably as you force him to go home and rest.

–[X] Fat Tony
—[X] Find Jonny Tightlips, Omake Bonus (+10)
Result: 89+10(TheNotoriousSMP!Omake Bonus)=99!

If Fat Tony hadn't been happy about the minion gathering, he certainly would have been made so by what happened while he was grocery shopping.

He wandered into the local supermarket to get some sauce for his dinner tonight (he would have preferred to make his own, but he was out of tomatoes so he reluctantly decided to just go the quicker route) and when he was told there wasn't any, he decided to try and "convince" whoever bought it to give it to him… and was in for a pleasant surprise.

"Johnny Tightlips?!" He blinked.

Sure enough, standing there with some store brand pasta sauce was said old minion of Tony.

"Boss?" Even The normally emotionless man seemed a little happy to see him.

"You son of a gun! Where have you been!?"

"What's it to ya? Maybe I've been here, Maybe I've been there."

".... Just come with me and Get back to work, ya big palooka."

"Got it, boss."

REWARD: Fat Tony has re-recruited Johnny Tightlips! He adds +3 to his Intrigue and Martial.

–[X] Kaiser
—[X] Find A New Home
Result: 67

The Kaiser seems to be in good spirits due to his success at upgrading the prison, enough that he decides he should stop putting it off and try his luck at finding his own place. Rodd and Todd seem genuinely sad to see him go, and even Ned wishes him well, though you definitely get the feeling he's a little relieved deep down.

The Kaiser gives Rodd and Todd one last ride on his horse for old times' sake before they ride off to find their new home.

The fact he owns a horse and his strange appearance even by Springfield standards actually lowers his chances a bit, and he loses a few bids and opportunities before he finally finds a decently sized, not too old but not new either house somewhere in the middle of Springfield.

It's no palace, but he seems content to finally have his own place again.

–[X] Apu
—[X] Restock Your Weapons Stockpile
Result: 71

Apu took the chance to use some of the free time he had left to look to get back his arsenal. If weird clone guys and flying supers in capes were gonna throw down somewhere in the city, Apu wanted to be able to protect his family if needed.

Luckily Apu still had some connections he could pull from to restock his armory. You are not sure where he got them from, but his home and his work office were stacked with every class of gun inimaginable and… was that an RPG?!!!

Results: Apu has restocked his arsenal, he is ready to defend his family from any threat! +5 bonus to protect the Power plant and Springfield from Invasions. Once all ammunition is used Apu will have to retake the action so the bonus is active once again.
–[X] Finale
—[X] Full Spymaster Action

–[X] Mona
—[X] Visit your old home
Result: 69

Mona takes a quiet ride to the countryside. You don't really ask where, mostly because there's only one place you know of out there she would have any reason to go to, and thinking of it gives you mixed feelings.

She arrived at your old home before long. She stared at it. In her mind's eye, from what she described , she can see both the past (Homer running around, the two of you talking, the two of you sleeping peacefully) and the future that could have been (seeing Homer graduate and celebrating, you two growing old together).

It seems to give her some strange form of relaxation and acceptance. She tidies the abandoned place up and then leaves.

You kind of wish you had come along. Oh well. You think it's probably for the best she did this alone.

REWARD: Mona feels nostalgic and strangely happy. +5 to the next National action she is assigned to.

–[X] Willie
—[X] Start an Irn-Bru Smuggling Operation
Result: 16
Yesterday while checking out the mansion's (massive) garden you hear some noise coming from your shed and investigate to find Willie hiding out in it!
Apparently Willie nearly got in trouble with the Springfield police about something related to That Bru you see him drinking occasionally and is hiding out here till the heat dies down.
Reward: Willie manages to Evade the police attention and is currently hiding out in your shed till the heat dies down. The Bru smuggling action can be taken next turn when the heat dies down.
–[X] Moe
—[X] Practice Voodoo
Result: 43

Moe was able to practice a little his Voodoo magic by implanting some harmless orders to some customers on his bar to pass the time. Unfortunately, while entertaining, he didn't actually got better at it. Moe will need to practice harder if he wants to get more experience with this.

–[X] Lena
—[X] Magically Look in on Webby
Result: 58

Lena seemed to be in an extra moody… mood today, and you weren't exactly sure why.

Later, emboldened by your talk with Homer, you decided to bite the bullet and ask her why.

"...You didn't tell me Pink was here." She muttered.

You wracked your brain for who you knew who was associated with pink enough to get such a nickname, and then it hit you.

"Webby?" You inquire. You hope assuming they both knew each other because they were both ducks wasn't racist.

"Yes! I can't talk to her! Not after what I did. Glomgold may have taken McDuck's wealth, but he couldn't have done it if I hadn't helped Aunt Magica get him in that position! I checked in on her, expecting her to be back in Duckburg with her family and she's yucking it up in your mansion!" Lena snapped, seeming genuinely upset rather than just typical teenage angst.

You aren't really sure what to say.

" …Sorry?" You pitifully mumble.

"... Whatever." For her part she seems to realize this wasn't really your fault and simmers down to a sulk.

You decide to give her space after that, and she seems a bit calmer the next time you see her.

Well it sucks syndrome captured the Birthday bandit, for all of the stuff he did, being captured by syndrome is not something i would have wanted him to be subjected to, i shudder to think what he has in plans for him

So can someone explain this roll for me?

Shouldn't the Bandit have not won against everybody thanks to the bonus roll of 22, so why it they only receive -11?

Also Syndrome should have get a Bare Success instead of a full blow success due to how close of a victory it was for him and Kikimora a Bare Failure?

The 22/-11 roll was the omake reward the One Last Party Omake, it was bascially a debuff for all other fighters aside from the bandit. we rolled a 1d100 and depending on the roll Willie, Kikimura, Bob and the Syndroids would get debuffed by half of it, that's how we ruled it, he got a 22 so -11 debuff to them.

And it wasnt a bare succes for syndrome cause he rolled +16 from the DC(Birthday bandit roll), for bare success, that should have ben within 10 of the DC, and we said that there was onyl 1 roll and winner took everything, (So just one check, whoever roller higher came out top)

In this case that was syndrome unfortunately.

We also used Radioaxxa omake bonus that was for the birthday bandit to hide cause we honestly forgot about it, and didnt sue it when we should have, giving a total of -21 malus to all fighters except the bandit, hope this explanation works.

You were Ned Flanders, and you were.... honestly kind of having second thoughts.

You were currently at Luigi's. It was the first restaurant that came to mind that wasn't too fancy but not too low-key either. You had decided to go on a blind date. That time they got a cold and the thought of what could have happened to them if they had been sent to Kamp Krusty made you realize something: Rodd and Todd were all you had. And you loved them. you loved them with all your heart. But sometimes it was hard waking up in the morning, completely without someone by your side. And Maude.... she wouldn't want you to dwell on her forever. As painful as moving on was, even after all this time.

For a bit, you were worried you were being stood up, but thankfully your date finally arrived. She muttered to herself in Spanish before sitting down.

The bespectacled woman, brown skinned woman with brown hair gave an apologetic smile.

"I'm very sorry for being late. Had some slight problems with my kids and the library..." She explained.

"Oh, don't you worry about that." You assured.

The two of you sat in slight awkward silence for a bit. You tap your fingers on the table.

"So, you mentioned you have kids? That's diddily swell. I Have kids too." You try to strike up a conversation.

The woman (you thankfully calm down your nerves enough to remember according to her dating profile she was named Camila) smiled and nodded.

"Oh yes. Six." She explained. You blink.

"Sounds like a handful." You muse, though you of course realize how rude that may sound and immediately start to apologize, but she thankfully waves you off with a giggle.

"No no, it's fine Ned. you are correct. And to be honest, I have only had one of them for longer than a few months." She chuckled.

"Oh. Did you adopt five more kids?" You ask in curiosity. You suppose she could have had quintuplets (Apu sure proved something like that wasn't impossible) but considering she was on a date rather than watching them, you are sure that's probably not the case.

"Something like that." She mused.

You aren't sure what that means, but brush it off as her just being frazzled from the extra kids running around.

"Well, I think that's very admirable. Me and Maude would have adopted if we didn't have Rodd and Todd. May she rest in peace." You said, offering your deceased wife a quick prayer. Camila immediately looks a little sad, and you feel a little bad bringing up your dead wife on a first date.

"I'm sorry for your loss, Ned. My husband is no longer with us, either." She said with such genuine sympathy you almost tear up. You thankfully control yourself and nod, subconsciously taking her hand. If she notices, she doesn't say anything.

"Thank you. I'm sorry I brought her up. It's just... she meant everything to me. And I love my kids. I do. but It's obviously just... not the same." You admit.

"Oh, I know. Trust me. My kids are the light of my life. They are my world, and it feels good to take care of them. But sometimes, it just feels..."

"Lonely." You both say at the same time. You blink and stare at each other.

"...Do you like Cosmic Frontier?" She suddenly blurted out. You blink in surprise and she blushed. She muttered in Spanish again.

"I'm sorry, It's just... I haven't dated in a long time, and things were really connecting and I got awkward-" She fumbled over herself. You just chuckle a bit.

"Hey now, hey now. It's fine. To be honest, I was pretty nervous too. I almost didn't come." You assured.

"Well... I'm glad you did." Camila admitted, rubbing the back of her head, mostly calmed down but still a bit embarrassed.

"I'm glad I did too." You admit right back with a smile.

Unbeknownst to the two, outside a very similar looking duo are watching Them with binoculars from some bushes.

"Ughhhh... What are they saying?" A brown-skinned, brown haired girl with a beanie, a varsity jacket and a scar above her eye asked her companion, who looked pretty much the same but with a yellow sweater and blue and yellow hair.

"For the last time, Luz, I don't have hearing any better than a human! And why are we spying on mom, anyways? I've seen enough TV to know this never ends well."

"Look, Vee, I just want to make sure mami is gonna be ok. I support her decision to put herself back out there, but this town is WEIRD!"

"I thought you liked weird?"

"Not when it could affect her!"

"I think you kinda lost that high ground when you brought your girlfriend and three other Witches to crash At her place."

"...I am totally telling Masha you wait at the mailbox for their Letters for hours at a time."

"NO! IT'S TOO MUSHY, THEY'LL NEVER LET ME HEAR THE END OF IT!"

Back inside Luigi's, you raise an eyebrow at the two, as it's clear from your perspective they aren't actually that far away.

"...Uh-" You start.

"My daughters. We will be having a talk about this later." Camila assured, though she seems more amused and fond than anything.

That was enough to satisfy you as you enjoyed your spaghetti together.
