Last time it was mentioned we took it out of the Iron Bank, around the time we started making our own little domain.
Since then I'm assuming it's either in our Bag of Holding, or our treasury in SD.

Viserys hasn't really thought about it for a year.
It's just not been all that important, Viserys would probably be slightly sad if we lost it, but it's no longer one of our dearest possessions, especially since we will soon have mother back, so we don't need it as a memento to remember her.

I'm honestly hoping Viserys' mother does not desire to be Resurrected. It would be a painful blow to both Viserys and Dany, but it would ease so much potential drama in the long run.

And maybe we could get an alternative reward if the Resurrection doesn't take?

We should have taken Elia's bones with us, just in case.

Actually I still think we should have taken a bone with us on our last visit to Dorne anyway, just in case we get a chance for Resurrection at some points on our travels.

Going on what people are saying that the time is not yet right for superb elite martial Adapts forces. And it's magical equipment we should focus on how about enhancements to our soldiers? Some kind of alchemy reigeme like the Witcher but with less death and pain. Not sure on how much it would cost or if we could even make it permanent but thought I'd see what could be done?

Economically, giving everyone +1 items would be insanely expensive for marginal benefit. Razor-Sharp, Masterwork _______ is mechanically exactly the same as a +1 weapon except for the fact that it can't pierce DR/Magic.

We have the Craftsmen's Pride Ritual which means we don't have to actually pay for those enchantments (that would be insane, 400 IM per weapon or shield and 200 per armour set), but the amount of time it takes to perform Craftsmen's Pride is prohibitive. The weapon or armour has to be forged during the ritual by a Scholarium trained mage-smith. We can't have that many mage-smiths; the bottleneck on training is too tight. Meanwhile, Lya can just Fabricate a thousand Razor-Sharp, Masterwork swords and call it a day.

The only people who really need magical weapons are going to be elite units. Knights, PCs, Monster-Slayers; anyone who 'needs' a more prestigious weapon, or could be expected to run across something where DR/Magic is genuinely helpful. They can be supplied by our limited mage-smiths.

Fabricate utterly shatters a mundane, craftsman based economy. It makes it so easy for stuff to be made, that craftsmen aren't really needed. The blessing in disguise for us is actually that we have Craftsmen's Pride. That allows smiths to still do something that Fabricate cannot while still being really cheap. Outside of niche applications, mass producing low-level magic weapons does a lot to equip normal humans against monstrous threats.

I was thinking more permanent alchemy enhancements to raise physicals a bit.

That's ridiculously expensive in D&D terms. The closest I can think of is a series of magic tomes that give ability score increases and a measly +1 costs 5,500 IM. Per stat. Well, there's also ways to cheese it for cheap with Planar Binding and extorting Wishes out of genies... but that's probably going to have some drawbacks.

Alchemical items usually aren't all that great; the benefits are quite marginal. They're usually useful for extremely low-level characters, but they're almost always worse than even 2nd level spells (something a level 3 character has access to). Some are useful, but not too many. They can also be relatively pricey; 20 Iron Marks per item in some cases which is equivalent to a good year's wage for the average worker.

refugees to cross the narrow sea

Dorne to the Disputed Lands used to be a land bridge. Until the Children brought down the Hammer of the Waters creating the Stepstones.

[X] Goldfish

Edit: Speaking of which, @Duesal, another question for Bloodraven. Or knowledge of the spell on how to cast it in exchange of sacrificing the Locus. We want the spell to cast the Hammer of the Waters.

Potential targets:

1. The Illithid capital on the Shivering Sea
2. The Sultan's palace in Molten Skies
3. Casterly Rock

Never.
We are going to take over that castle at some point, it holds both mundane riches and magical secrets we want to add to our loot.
We have a spell to breath underwater, drowning the rock is no excuse not to loot it.

Heck drowning the rock makes it easier to loot, you can lift bigger amounts in water by pumping air into them, so we can loot bigger landmarks if we submerge them first.

And I don't think water damage is hard to fix with spells.

Edit: I don't remember who originally voiced the idea of doing a line of figurines (of a Red Dragon), but the idea is pure gold.

T'WAS I !!!

And let's not use pure gold, that would get expensive pretty quickly.

Or let's do use pure gold, but see how long it takes people to figure out it is not painted over lead figurines. :drevil:

That reminds me, @Duesal (for your memory), @DragonParadox (for confirmation).

We did not have to sell Mother's crown, right? I think we'd remember losing that, since it was what broke canon Viserys. Do we have it with us?

It's in a vault in the iron bank, deposited under a disguise. I don't recall if we ever picked up the key from where we hid it, but I'm sure Viserys remembered to do so IC.

Edit: should really pay better attention to when I refreshed thread last

It has very deep mines and there's clearly something magical going on there, guessing from the Sorcerer-initiation.
Flooding an Earth-aligned magical something might cause problems.

@DragonParadox This story is starting to sound more and more like it's happening in the Dresden Universe. I'm suddenly expecting either Toot-Toot and Za Guard, or Santa Claus.

It's probably all the factions and supernatural plots and counter-plots, though I do borrow some thematic elements.

@DragonParadox
What was up with that? Was she offended that we asked her to keep silent about the invitation until our trading was done?

Viserys does not know.

I'd much rather offload the therapy work onto Doran, Oberyn and Tyene with a bit of support from Viserys if it can be provided for a while than do this when we discuss everything with Bloodraven and then bring back Rhaella.

Imagine Ella's last memories, and then if she says yes, to find herself a side-note.

Also, I think the context of the question might help, i.e. Frozen north vs home with brothers and niece, and weird pretty Valerian looking man?
Possibly also a pheonix ;)

We have to spek to Velen about the pheonix feather.

Imagine the effort we could have saved the Dornish mages if we had taken Velen home for a short bit instead of riding down the dornish coast :(

  • [X] "I am Viserys Targaryen, exiled prince and self-styled King in the Stepstones. I am of the blood of Old Valyria, a True Dragon in the making, and bulwark against that which preys on the helpless and the innocent. I am a warrior, a mage, and a scholar. I have journeyed north of the Wall seeking answers from the Three-Eyed Raven, eldest of my living kin. And I have come seeking fulfillment of a bargain upon which I place great importance."

[X] We are dreamers. We have seen everything taken from us. Only for the song and dreams of old to us give us wings. We've made enemies, but as long as we live we shall not see misery, death and madness reign supreme. And here we are, preparing for another tide that might consume us all.

We fight communism now?
My idea was to outfet our human soldiers with a mixture of Diamond Mind, Stone Dragon, and Iron Heart. Along with this Beware the Oncoming Storm [Discipline] and for Path of War Iron Tortoise – d20PFSRD. As for were to get these Molten Skies as a trading hub should have some instructors we could convince to teach thier Art of the Blade. Any kind of unit type we want in our Legion there is most likely some kind of Martial Discipline official or homebrew we can fiddle with and give to our soldiers for a boost.
Too complicated. Way too complicated.

We currently have plans for Warrior 3 troops that should be more than adequate to go toe-to-toe with their planar equivalents.

Make the lieutenants and captains Marshalls if we can.
We've got a major festival coming up soon. That will be a prime opportunity for a speech.

Oh! Viserys' mother will definitely need a speech after she's Resurrected. That'll be a hard one to write. Save your strength for it. :)
She probably needs a hug more than a speech.
The issue is mainly that humans take forever to train. It's actually taken more training for us to get our legions started than it did for Richard to beat the Minotaurs into something resembling shape. It's often easier for us to grab a few high CR monsters because they can be used and deployed immediately. The Gorgon bull thing that we captured could probably destroy an army of arbitrary size. Without squads of borderline PCs, the Gorgon could probably kill thousands.
One of the reasons I was só excited about werebears...

Didn't we take them when we last visited Dorne? It'd be tremendously stupid to not have them as we are visiting Bloodraven.

I do want our troop surge of eventuallu carry some flasks of alchemists fire/lightning/cold and those oils thst mimic silvered/cold iron.

I think DP said something about that being problematic or disrespectful when I asked?

People are still not used to see human remains as simple materials like any other.
Maybe the Long Night and killing some Zombies with the faces of friends will help remind them of that.
