Hmm, looks like Mistborn readers are voting Cables, and everyone else is going for Blazing Chakra.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Blazing chakra & Wind blade is not compatible at the moment right?
We can't do dual element yet at the moment.
So we can stay Wind Blade, and do occasional Fire Blade, but not both at once until we skill up.
So, it's not really an upgrade, just a possible alt buff.

Weeaboo-ness aside, a lightsaber is fonctionally identical to a very sharp sword. A noisy very sharp sword that you can't touch, so no two hands blocking with it.
More seriously, a regular chakra flow enhanced sword slash already kills, or mains, someone if it hits, having a lightsaber doesn't make the dude double dead when hit...
What we should aim for is stuff that makes sure the sword actually hits.
Speed and 3d mobility increase from the chakra cables achieves that goal.
Yeah, our wind blade already fulfills that purpose.
An extremely sharp sword vs lightsaber has no difference.
Esp that we can only wield either ATM.
When we do unlock dual element,
A Fire/Wind combo blade will do more damage, sure, but it's still just more damage.
Cables, on the other hand can do many other things, as well as round out of Battlefield control & evasion.
Also, enables Sage Nature chakra via flying around through cables collecting Nature energy.

What i'm more interested in is the implications that actual plasma creation might have for our jutsu in the future as a whole. It's a unique and extremely dangerous element, probably rivalling many bloodline limits and surpassing a few in pure deadliness. The possibility of actually creating and using it could massively boost our threat rating, possibly even leading into SSS class signature jutsu on par with the razenshuriken.
:that's the joke:
ummm don't you wanna wait a couple of arcs first to increase our infamy and our skill level before we even rate a high A rank threat?

It's just Fire chakra infused blade right?

There was a lot of talk about Hisana lacking a big finisher like the rasengan/chidori, and Sealing Art: Blazing Chakra Flow sounds like it could lead into something like that.

Plasma is electrically ionised gas.
Getting the fire sword upgrade explicitly allows us to add other elements to our wind natured chakra attacks later on, namely lightning in this case.

Fire sword doesn't let use add elements. It let use us an alternate element now.
However, an upgrade, we could add elements.
Since we will unlock Kenjustu A soon, we can wait for that to grab it if we really want it.
And you want Lightning for that, not fire.
And we still don't have Lightning nature.

Uh, the text of blazing chakra flow states that it "allows you to add fire-natured chakra to your chakra flow" which mean we add fire nature to our already existing wind nature.
