[X] Learn Ring Bind
While learning Burst is more effective for Combat, Ring bind is more effective in the long run at capturing Villians and leaving them for the PRT to take care of. Sure, we can knock them out, but it's a way to make sure the target can't just wake up while they get there and walk away.
In combat, while Burst is definitely better at a range, we could do it Nanoha style and just wait for someone to try to hit us physically only to find out his hands have been bound, Kind of like in the Nanoha-Einheart battle. After that, we either knock him out or take him straight to the PRT.
That, however, I assume could only work on most of the parahumans. Some of the higher-top tier ones might be able to break out.
While I agree Telekinesis would be effective at clearing traps and all stated options, Ring bind is more effective of what we are trying to do now, And while crowd control would be nice, it's a very rare thing to happen at this stage, Until later.
While those upgrades are plausible, they would take time to learn efficiently and in my case, would count as upgrades, while Ring bind, in my opinion is simpler but can be complex as well in the upgrade regard, Such as More bind strength, more bind targets, Adjustable or higher maximum size of rings, Binds effect target mentally (such as some kind of pseudo-
hypnosis/paralysis) as well, so on and so forth.
In conclusion, while Telekinesis and Burst would be useful in the future, for what we are trying to do right now in quelling villain populations, It's going to be used more as a strategical move rather than a tactical one. For example, Captureing Ringleaders and making their subordinates surrender as well and binding them, or binding them during combat via fake defensive opening and ending the fight right there. They could and will resist, but nothing a good non-lethal dose of flare shooter couldn't fix. In the long run, it's going take a lot of time out of (non-special) battles, Just bind them and be over with it.
On their side, it's like trying to fight a battle with your legs and hands handcuffed and tied up, and unless you're the Magical/parahuman equivalent of Houdini, you're not going to win against a superior opponent (in most cases) like us.
