On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

[X] [Whitebeard:] Aid after the war. The Valayans plan to settle the Northern mountain range, repurpose some of the string of forts built over the war into proper Holds. Lend aid to that endeavor. The Karaz Ankor and Everpeak especially, shall lend their aid to settle the Mountain fortresses of the Far North.

As much as I want to lord over Snorri Whitebeard and force him to not die, this choice is better

So what you're saying is thatt Vrangi literally required help from beyond the setting itself in order to mirror Snorris feat of finding one of Thungni's tools.

Ha! Take that Vragni you hack!

:V
No, no, what you're going to want to do is tell him he needed not just an Umgi's help, but an Umgi who simps for elves.

[X] [Whitebeard:] Delay the counter-ritual until Skaudardrengi is complete. A mighty ask, and would require more effort to delay the Fimir's ritual, let alone convince Malekith. But possible. Though Skaudardrengi would have the added scrutiny and expectations of the High King and the son of Aenerion upon it. Counter Ritual will not begin until Skaudardrengi is complete.

I'm happy for Izril. Looks like they have managed to build a truly Wonderous Hall. May it stand to the end of times.
I hope we are allowed to visit one day.

It sounds like it is mostly a museum/armory rather than a learning institution, like our Hall.
Naturally it is of higher quality than Khazagar, as it was a cooperative project with all the hold's runesmith clans.

This reminds me, I wonder how Brynduraz's Grongrungral is coming along.

Did we get any info on it, does anyone know?

Master Rune of the Undefiled Peaks: An oddity of a Master Rune, an assertion of the Ancestor God's sovereignty over the mountains, always a blow so powerful that it could wrench open a valley and a peak, however against the Defiled--the risen dead, the possessed, the mutated, so on--it becomes a blow so powerful that it would wrench open seven peaks and seven valleys even as it disrupts their magical nature.

#Trigger, #Enchantment, #Offensive, #Magical, #AOE, #Grudge, #Odd

There are those who say mystical reflections of the Ancestors and of their priests are summoned in the attack against the defiled, against the unholy, and that is where the seven peaks and seven valleys arise from.

To celebrate finally rolling Artoria Lancer:

Master Rune of the Light Defiant (Structural/Weapon): A strange, strange Rune, resplendent light gathers along a tower, within the structure, and at the command of bearer unleash itself in a sizzling ray of bright golden light in a wave that could blast apart an army. Beyond, of course, the brilliantly-hued, sun-fierce pillar of light that drops with all the force of a god, it is a rebuke to all evils, and further reinforces the wall between the aethyr and reality.
-A weapon form also exists, similar in effect but much, much, much lesser in scope: Where the structural form can unmake an army, the weapon form peaks at a unit.

-Yet more work of that strong, brilliant woman, Barra Vanyasdottir, and her attempts to reinforce the Karaz Ankor against all evils that might beset it, both mundane or mystical. She was influenced by the fey in making it.

#On Attack, #Enchantment, #Offensive, #Magical, #AOE, #Odd, #Lonely

(#Downright Bizarre :V)

Rune of the Scorching Resplendence: A distinct derivation of the Rune of Fire, furnace-fire surrounds the head of the weapon and a tongue of fire can be spit in a broad but short area around the weapon, shorter than the same effect from the Rune of Fire. In return however, it burns particularly potently at the servants of Nurgle, cleaning their taint outright in some cases.

-The work of Morek Hopebearer, student of Vragni Silverbrand.

#Enchantment, #Constant, #Offensive, #Elemental, #Grudge

(Master?) Rune of Satisfaction: A strange Rune, in seeming counterplay to the Runesmiths' ethos, born of trauma: enchanted objects struck by this are more vulnerable the more perfect, the more flawless, the more obsessive their construction. The more potent the craft, the more the Rune can denigrate, deride, degrade and destroy, given time.

-The work of Kazrik Pleasurebane, in defiance against the smiths and enchanters and artisans of Slaanesh: 10,000 hours of their work turned to ash and dust. They say it has an especial hatred for the craft of Slaanesh's slaves, as well. "Obsessive-compulsive perfectionists, artisans with their heads shoved firmly up their own--no, Silverbearer, that doesn't remind me of anybody else I know."

#Constant, #Curse, #Offensive, #Magical, #Grudge

#Rune-Ideas
Light Defiant. Already Zon-dum. Need more here I think boss, going for Engine of the Gods type situation.
Scorching Resplendence. Gave me the idea for beam sword. Beam sword.
Satisfaction. Eh. Ima think about it.

Ideas, but probably no mountain cracking.

I won't argue for it too, too much, but my understanding is that Zon-Dum is like, a beam? Whereas light defiant is more an actual projectile with actual mass that just-so-happens to also be a ball of light, with perhaps more Unholy Rebuking Powers. Can't, won't speak to power level since I don't quite grasp Zon-Dum's and I'm not sure I'm conveying Light Defiant's.

I can't believe Voik helped our greatest rival acquire a Thungni artefact. Truly, a betrayal on par with the Frundar. Voik, what say you in your defence?
"I can not be a traitor, for I owe him no allegiance. He is not my Master; he never received my homage; and whilst life is in this persecuted body, he never shall receive it. To the other points whereof I am accused, I freely confess them all. As a fan of Conservative Runesmiths I have been an enemy to their enemies; I have shitposted; I have mortally opposed the heretic, Snorri; I have smeared and insulted the wonders and institutions which he unjustly claimed as superior. If I or my soldiers have plundered or done injury to the priests or ministers of the Ancestors, I repent me of my sin; but it is not of Snorri Klausson I shall ask pardon."

We are going to shave your beard off and glue on a goat's coat in its place. Maybe a bit of grey below the chin'll do you some good, beardling.

When the Valayans asked us to call in favors to help build the Karaks I don't think they meant with the High King. :lol2:
