Fate getting the Jewel Seed is actually a decent end result. Not as good as Nanoha of course, but miles better than Onogoro getting it or Whisper accidentally activating it like a dumbass.

Whisper seems to have been trying pretty hard to avoid that accidental activation result, to the point of actively compromising her own situational awareness and ability to defend herself... but at the same time, she was specifically trying to deliver the Jewel Seed directly into Onogoro's hands.

Of course, in the long run, Precia having Jewel Seeds is very bad.

The rebuke of Fate's performance comes to her easily, in a motherly voice. Even if none of Fate's training involved anything like it, she should have been able to guess that some of the bloodsucking insects in the station's interior could bite through light barrier jacketing. Especially after she stopped the first pack of the local predators. A parasite that could feed on something resistant to mid-voltage plasma fire must necessarily have special capability.
This is probably the Jupiter palace, which seems like it can take care of itself, but it sure would suck if Precia damaged one of those still-intact cryochambers up there.

No, I think they might have poked the rather excitingly overgrown-looking Venus Castle, and discovered what Venusian Wildlife is like and why we might be particularly interested in the professor of Venusian Herpetology.

...oh god damn it, how is it that no one thought that Fate might have been involved in this? Seriously, everyone was convinced that 'F' stood for Fine, but I'm pretty sure no one had even suggested that it might be Fate.

-Succeed in robbing an ancient sorceress of a precious and spectacularly dangerous magical treasure while she raves about how she will show them, show them all.

-Get mugged by a nine year old.

The bounded domain is kept at a regulated pseudo-cosmic background temperature, and there's no precipitation or insects. So there was no reason not to cut a hole in the floor-to-ceiling window for just such jumping. A tiny, mostly numb corner of Fate wants to think more about the reaction of whoever uses this room for whatever mysterious purpose. About how they'll react, one day, after she's done with this secret domain-hideout. When they come back to the room and find a big plasma-cut hole in their wall. The idea almost cuts through her focus and seriousness, but that makes it unserious and bad to waste time on.
Just for the record.

I still maintain that "all the damage within the bounded field gets reflected into reality when it's dropped" is the most asinine and nonsensical choice made by the WoG team of Nanoha story.
It makes little sense that something inherently transient and impermanent would suddenly have a pronounced effect on that which is definitely real.

Not the least of reasons being that the entire city was wiped out during the Book of Darkness incident, and restoring it
1) from scratch,
2) into previous condition,
3) without perfect knowledge of pre-destroyed state

Is basically impossible.

It's like they decided to ape the Shakugan no Shana after the fact, except without mandating the inherently included timestop, initial status recording, and the quite-literally miraculous nature of the local magic energy equivalent used to restore everything to status quo.
There were several better ways to have done it if they wanted their unavoidable collateral damage to stick, with no bystander casualties.

We haven't had an interlude about Nanoha coming to Minako and asking her how to deal with pretty girls with sad eyes yet (did she mention the pretty part) for one.

Still, as...unexpected as Fate's entrance is, there are legitimate benefits to this. She went ahead and properly sealed the Jewel Seed after taking it away from Whisper, so that alone removes the Jewel Seed from the list of concerns. Unfortunately, this also likely means that Nanoha will be kept away from the battlefield longer than we anticipated, and possibly might not be able to return at all in a fight-capable state. As irritating as this mantra has become over this event, we'll just have to wait and see how things turn out.

We do, however, know why Nanoha hasn't come to Minako to ask about this.

Usagi Quest (CK3/Princess Maker) (Sailor Moon)

Welcome to Usagi Quest, an odd blend between CK3 and Princess Maker that has been bouncing around in my brain for a while now. You are Usagi Tsukino, the girl who will one day rule over the entire solar system from Crystal Tokyo. Sure is a big destiny for such a regular girl. And to make it...

Fate makes her grand on screen debut and her underlying sorrow is quite palpable.

Also she fights with an effective +36 prowess which while a step below the Senshi... I can't recall Nanoha's prowess for some reason and just double checked and she appears to not have a character sheet in the informational?

Well, it seems fairly likely that we are about to learn Nanoha's Prowess score in the most direct manner possible.

*Fate and Nanoha start trading beam attacks hundreds of feet above the ground*
Whisper: ...Yeah, I think I'm gonna head home now.
I'm thinking she might be a little more injured then that, considering she just crashed out of the sky at 150 miles an hour
And the enemy mage, she is sure, can't possibly be about to hit the ground hard enough to do more than rattle her through her barriers anyway.
Uh, sure Fate, she'll just walk that off probably

To be fair, she did tank a couple of Photon Lancer bolts. Her personal protective kit may actually be pretty good.

But yeah, much like Lady Nakatomi, Whisper's status is definitely "last on camera under very bad conditions, would totally not surprise the audience by being confirmed dead."

Honestly, Jupiter Castle will be interesting, since its interior has developed in a fascinatingly different environment from that of the Castle that Prescia visited. There was a point, during one draft that there was a mention of large reptiles, but it was pruned.

And she never even spotted the, well technically least hidden Castle, but the hardest to spot castle - Neptune Castle.

To Fate's surprise- she is unfamiliar with fragile flight-assistive implements- the Empty Face begins an abrupt crash-landing from a considerable height. But Fate has other business to attend to. Mother, she has become convinced, needs her medicine. And the enemy mage, she is sure, can't possibly be about to hit the ground hard enough to do more than rattle her through her barriers anyway.

*Me on Fate potentially killing a person unknowingly and being forced to later contend with the guilt of having blood on her hands.*

"This leaves me deeply concerned."

*Me on an Empty Face being smushed to paste.*

Given that Whisper wasn't knocked out by the Photon Lancers, she might survive hitting the ground.

Then again, she might not.

What is sure is that she is going to be very busy trying to cast Arresto Momentum or Summon Greater Big Cushy Mattress or something.

Anime durability suggests she is probably very very unhappy, definitely down for this fight but likely not dead unless someone deliberately finishes her off.
