I would reverse that order. Understandings after the foundational techs. But I can see your point.
Personally, I'm waiting on Neablis to clarify how IU works compared to the DEldar craft study. It really, really seems to me like research order shouldn't work the same way with IU as it does for DEldar reverse engineering - it's not like Anexa is going to have a completely different fundamental truth she learns about the warp if we learn about demons first, right?

It just makes more sense to me that learning what the warp is would be more fundamental to the study of demons, a particular manifestation of the warp, than the converse.

But I still don't even know if his recent "don't want to discount below 100RP" statement applies to it yet or not, lol, so I'm just holding tight for now, basically.

Honestly I think that's just overprep. Let's just do Immaterium Understandings and maybe Faith then Daemonology. No more, I don't want to put it off any longer.

I don't know if the other stuff is necessary, per se - but I want it anyway, and I think it's about the same priority, so we might as well do it first. I might be willing to compromise some, but I want more than just doing demonology. And I'd put IU off until we've knocked out most of the <= 150 stuff, but that's just me...

I, personally, think Faith, Encryption, Taste of Chaos, and Demonology are the more immediate ones. We can hold CR, CPS, ASM until after Int Coding.

ASM we need for warp comms - and the rest is cheap and useful in general, so I think we should get it. As for 'Taste the Chaos!', that ones a lot more specific than I think most people realize - like, it's mainly just for chaos rituals, or other big obvious stuff. And yeah, it can let us detect that stuff from across the system, but that's not that big a deal IMO. It's the subtle stuff that's dangerous, and that's harder to get at. We'd need the cultist cabinet and empathy at range to start, and then probably some more stuff after that, probably including Taste of Chaos but also another thing or two. Being subtle and intrusive and annoying is Chaos whole thing, we're not gonna counter it in a single tech.

I'm not sure how well the next .1 turns will end up but I know that when we get access to research again we need to get Denva the tools to remove Chaos which is why we need to go for taste of chaos and a curio cabinet of cultists, we have plenty of OMC and machine spirit tech we're fine on that end.

Ok, rolls please!
1st: Aetherion void combat
2nd: Aetherion "ground" combat
3rd: Immediate anti-corruption measures.
4th: Misc

Then I'm going to roll for Denvan cleanup behind you.
Neablis threw 1 100-faced dice. Reason: Denva Secundus cleanup Total: 37
37 37

Not perfect, but mostly solid across the board where it mattered, and our worst roll was still a Poor Success and nearly a standard one, but in the field we can most afford to take damage.

I think the "Ground Combat" one should broadly make that one a wash.

That Misc roll critting is nice though!

Adequate enough, Passes or better across the board except a very marginally Poor Success in an area we can most afford a bloodied nose on.

Finally. Some mediocre darn rolls.
1st: Aetherion void combat - 33. Poor success.
2nd: Aetherion "ground" combat - 70. Good success.
3rd: Immediate anti-corruption measures - 62. Success, verging good success.
4th: Misc - 95.

And then Denva rolled a 37 behind you. Alrighty.

I just want to get Bongo dealt with sooner than later. Sooner or later he's going to get lucky eventually and I just really want to stop putting off fully securing the Daemon in our ship and I'm a bit concerned with how Blaise a lot of people are acting towards it when if we were playing a different quest and Vita was an NPC and we knew an AI had a Scrapcode Generator aboard their ship without it being fully bound and seemingly getting closer and closer to breaking out with every attempt and hasn't been more of a nuisance due to just shitty luck on its part, we would be very freaking concerned.

As for IU, it's said that will discount all other Warp studies so it's best we get that done ASAP.

Now for the rolls, could be better, especially on Denva, and I kinda wish we went with Klyssar's Nest instead but this is still good.

That Critical Success on Misc. is going to be really important when the next turn starts.
