I have to say, this reasoning seems pretty sus. We don't get any stress from not trying to improve our prowess even further, which is what you'd expect if doing so went against dilligent. We were even told that not working to improve our skills in Prowess even further just means that we'll be working hard to improve some other skill instead. If anything becoming the bestest ever swordsman seems like a dream more in line with Ambitious than Dilligent.

Exactly! We've become such an amazing warrior that we can maintain that level with casual simple training. Ambition is wanting to be the best warrior ever. Diligence is not resting on our laurels and turning that drive to be great to another pursuit.
Diligence is not inherently perfectionism / the desire to do one thing perfectly. It is the refusal to half arse anything we commit to. If we want to be on the Council we should master our skill.

I mean, locking out prowess training does seem like kinda resting on our laurels. I would be in favor of reducing the time we spend training prowess, and refocusing on a new skill. But locking out improvement when we just got our knighthood seems kinda out of character to me.
And again, prowess isn't useless because it translates into dragon size.

Wonder how that worked with Aegon II and Sunfyre. Aegon didn't seem like much of a fighter even though Sunfyre was a pretty great one. Than again Aegon II had a very impressive amount of determination so perhaps Sunfyre got past all he did out of sheer grit.

Ambition would have likely had us picking 2 goals instead of one. Unsure about honorable. It's a bit harder to quantify with the interplay between it, Targarian exceptionalism, and defiant.
People should keep in mind that we are in fall, moving towards winter. This is going to mean long hours inside the red keep, with our sister, accumulating stress from the state of abject terror Rhaenyra enters whenever she looks at her face. That's going to be pretty bad for us overall, unless we can use our new dream to set up Rhaenyra to unravel the mystery and stop freaking out over it. It's also useful for establishing the properties of weird wood and alerting her to the existence of the supernatural.

tbh as long as the Dorne vote doesn't win I'm actually ok with most options. A war with Dorne would be so costly, and for little gain. And to overly labour a point, I'm a strong advocate of a Laenor match, so there's no way we can win Dorne through diplomacy.

I'm not gonna tell you guys to not vote how you want to. But I will say there's been an issue the last few votes where you guys seem to think if you don't go for optimization, you're making a mistake. And uh...that's not how this quest works.
I think a lot of us subconsciously (Or consciously) want to prove all those haters wrong about girls not belonging in a fight by being able to kick the ass of literally anyone who tries to put us down.

I am being a bit tactical with this vote. All of the dreams require us to spend a fair amount of actions on them, our Dreamed-of Rival™ who we have to interact with has just been born and we just got a debuff* that reduces the amount of stress we lose from taking Rest actions. Spending time with our Lady, on the other hand, still ought to provide occasions to lose Stress, especially if we do so while working towards on of our Dreams. In that regard, it is an economical dream.
*Not a real debuff but you know what I mean
On another note, Teen Spirit has clarified that convincing Alicent to ride on Syrax is largely a matter of getting her to loosen up. I think this is a bit more important than the thread might realise. Sooner or later, Alicent is going to get married. Being Rhaenyra's handmaiden bought her time, but it won't keep it away forever, and unlike with Rhaenyra herself our ability to influence said marriage is limited. If Alicent is still high on her "Duty" mindset at that point in time, there's a very real risk that continuing an affair behind her husband is going to stress her out. We need to try and wean her out of that mindset before she sabotages her own happiness.
Of course, those are all excuses, and the real reason I vote for this dream is because I ship these two goobers and I want a scene of Rhaenyra to pulling this:

I don't quite like the dragon dream ambition, to me it seems like something we'd be able to do anyway and I personally want to pursue some non-directly Dance related stuff while things are still relatively stable.

Realistically we don't need to keep training, but I honestly just like this vibes wise, and given our extra action we can still get more done than before even if we have to periodically train or relax.
