The Long Founding (Warhammer 40k)

We do that in part 2 of every chapter first we need to decide what consumables we should use

I belive that we only have 40 points this turn to expend and of all the legions the ones that could use and defend that library is the Iron Warriors, Ultra marines and maybe the Salamanders and the Iron Hands, buying more traitors geneline don't benefit us right now and if we are going to buy them we should do it on shit like testing, could shower, in almost any of the inquisitorials request like the one of Hybridis or in our experimentals faces no on important shit that could benefit the Imperium on the long term.

It's not just defending the library but also making use of the library.

The thousand sons are the magic legión they don't really do tech, the Death Guard are one of the exterminator legions they are mostly a offendove legion, the Emperor Children are the cultural/artístics/propagandistic ones, the night lords should have been the ones that deal with the law but they can do capture of VIP very well, the ideal legión for this is the Iron Warriors because they do both tech and defenses, the next one is the Ultramarines because they can obtain the most traits of planet and finally the Salamanders and the Iron Hands because they are legions that do tech really well.

how about thousand son with iron hands secondary geneseed

how about thousand son with iron hands secondary geneseed

Look i'm not againts buying all the traitor geneseed but they all have a moment and a place to do it, for the library full of tech knowledge out best bet for it to go excelent is a primary Iron Warriors with a secondary Ultramarines, the thousand sons speciality is psyker abilities and for all the library looting they did during the great Crusade they never become more than adequate at the tech side of things and the Iron Hands tend to hoard archeotech a lot.

I think we should use word bearers for the great library. Obviously the wouldn't be spreading all the knowledge but having them spread some of the safer knowledge, and an appreciation for learning and knowledge, would help the imperium in the long run.

@jgalue1 the request never stated the Library has technological knowledge, only that it contained ancient knowledge. That might as well include some warpcraft or psy-tech.
The Inquisition has recently come across a vast archive of ancient knowledge. They obviously want it preserved and guarded as thoroughly as possible, but they do not wish to store it near important planets such as Terra just in case (you shudder at the memory of the utter disaster the Hereteks unleashed when they let out all of the horrors stored under the surface of Mars, you STILL haven't got all of the things they let out). Hence, you.
No mention of technology, just knowledge.

Also, Thousand Sons was always the Legion that was interested in research, learning and understanding, first and foremost Warp stuff but that doesn't mean they limited to that, so, and as pointed by @RedWake, we don't need to buy any extra training, just giving them techmarines as they training will be enough, and again, this assumes this is tech knowledge when it might be something more esoterical or some super special records like Emperor's own diary.

Also, again, for the love of everything holy and unholy, if you don't want to do requests then just don't, Frog isn't holding us at gunpoint, we have this funny option called ''Do as you will'' we can just do whatever we want and that's it. And Traitors are way more useful than just ''not important stuff'' and you yourself admitted to it by listing Iron Warriors as the best request for this, they can do multiple different things, they aren't forced to do only one archetypical thing.

[] Plan: Library card
-[ ] The Great Library: The Inquisition has recently come across a vast archive of ancient knowledge. Hence, you.
Goals: The next chapter will gain the 'Ancient Knowledge' perk for free.
-[ ] Legendary Gene-Seed: The finest Gene-Seed ever recovered from a given Legion. 15 Points per charge, Burn a Charge to add a Legion's legendary traits to the roll list for that round.
-[ ] Potent Gene-Seed Charge: Some samples of a Legion's Gene-Seed are more likely to retain their stronger traits, and you have isolated such samples. 5 Points for each charge. Burn a charge to make the chapter roll for two traits from their parent legion. x2
-[ ] More Equipment: You've managed to secure extra equipment for a Chapter. 10 Points. Burn 1 charge to add an extra equipment slot for the Chapter.

[X] Plan: Redemption Squad.
-[X] Do as you will: You will not be taking any requests at this time.
-[X] Traitor Legion Geneseed: If you wish, you could gain access to the gene-seed of the Traitor Legions. Each will have its benefits and costs, but all of them will have their gene-fathers concealed for practical reasons - little point creating a Chapter only for them to be wiped out by some overly paranoid fool. Write in a traitor legion. 10 Points for each time this is taken.
--[X] Emperor's Children.
--[X] Thousand Sons.
--[X] Death Guard.
--[X] Night Lords.

- [X] Codex Experiments - Goal: Create a Chapter with Alpha Legion Gene-Seed and place it in a homeworld with the (Ultramar) tag. Troll Guiliman.
- [X] Lightning Pattern Power Armor: A very powerful piece of technology from Forge World Vhalkem, the Lightning Pattern is extremely powerful, though it can only be produced in enough numbers for deployment by a single Chapter . You will still need to handle smoothing things out between Vhalkem and the Forge World providing the rest of the Chapter's equipment, however - they don't get the free pass Murphius does. 10 Points.

Such is life. By the Omnissiah, are you glad for your ability to manage multiple of your bodies at once. You would never get anything done.

I'm curious, but has it been stated how Grim has been able to control and manage multiple bodies at once? Is it a case where there is a "primary" body that for lack of better terms doing the heavy lifting in terms of higher-level tasks while multiple secondary and tertiary bodies are tasked with doing the grunt work of data analysis, manual labor (think more akin to doing the grunt work of preparing for a lab experiment), and such?

Also, how is Grim viewed by the galaxy at larger? I am aware that it is still rather early in the Imperium's history, but I would imagine the longer Grim exists in the Warhammer 40,000 universe and his impact on the setting through something visible as creating Astartes Chapters that seemingly are heavily involved in critical matters (Thousand Son Chapter). Specifically, how do the Adeptus Mechanicus, Dark Mechanicum, and I guess even Vashtorr view him? Considering how all three view the importance of information, Grim by the time of M41 is one of the longest-living individuals (excluding Necrons, Warp Entities, and various Men of Iron) in the galaxy. Would Grim be seen as a more accepted/revered Cawl?

While it's unlikely that people would know, I would imagine people would be shocked that Grim was tasked by the Emperor post-heresy to fulfill various tasks.
