The Long Founding (Warhammer 40k)

I like IRS as the chapter name.... yeah, it's a little meme-y but as far as I know, the past several chapters have been very normal-ish?

Like, they've been epic, don't get me wrong, just way too straightforward, I think. I believe the IRS chapter would be just the bit of levity we need. All aboard the lolz train!

I agree with fweee, I like my 40k with some silliness. Regardless, the next few votes will decide between which plan the tie is broken.

...Folks, *please* don't make us go with the IRS option. I get the joke, but if we actually go through with this, assuming we're taking in-universe stuff seriously...it's just hugely embarassing. It's like giving your kid an awful name for a laugh.

YES PLEASE DONT!!!!! I get its a joke but it would just be cringe to have this be the name of a space marine plus in universe Grimm would be mad and not in a good way. if the other people who voted for the other versions of the silver owls chapter changed their vote it would win in a landslide

I'm going to have to pull the beta card and officially second the request for a different name here, folks, if only so I won't die of cringe doing the write up.

Imperial Resource sentials sounds better for an organization not a space marine chapter
Ehh. There's plenty of Chapters across the Galaxy with their own distinct cultures. I wouldn't be surprised if there's Chapter, which name is just series of numbers, because the Chapter is very close with Mechanicus.

Also, they are Warband, not Loyal Chapter, but The Damned Company of Lord Caustos, shows that groups of Marines can name themselves, fairly long and unusual names.

Also, I fail to see, why Grimm supposed to go mad or why, this is giving "our kids" a bad name. The Chapter most likely decides their name, all the Grimm does is prepare Chapter resources and choose the first recruits for him to turn into the Marines and the guy who will became the Chapter Master. We know this is a joke name, but in-universe people have no idea that something like IRS existed in the first place, nor will understand the significance, for them it will be just unusual Chapter name, nothing more.

No offence @gamer50018 but I think you and others are seriously overreacting, especially when the entire plan that started this Chapter, was a IRS joke in the first place.

Well, considering the Warrior of the Mind basically won already...I'm just genuinely disappointed that Word Bearers didn't won the previous turn.

I truly feel that the IRS joke would fit the somewhat humorous Ultramarine Chapter, while the Warrior of the Mind, would fit actually serious Word Bearer Chapter that leans into the Athena wisdom and justice theme.

my only issue with Warrior of the Mind V3 is that it trades dreadnoughts for thunderhawks. That's not necessarily bad and neither one is stealthy but dreadnoughts would synergyze with the restless dreadnoughts trait
