Guys seriously, we can speak with Lyonel Strong in regular turns, if we want to challenge Harwin to a Duel we should talk with him, not only to try to become friends with him, but also because it will increase the effectiveness of our training significantly...

I'm starting to worry about how we've neglected the gold cloaks who basically betrayed Viserys when they left with Daemon and came back like nothing happened.

Next turn someone please take action.

I think the goldcloaks are best left as an us problem tbh - the most obvious path we have to the small council is as being the Commander of the City Watch ourselves, and it'd be natural to fix the goldcloaks after we get a position with them. Putting an ally in a job we want to have at some point would be counterproductive, imo.

Did I miss what made this seem like a now problem?

-[x]Talk to Larys Strong

I cannot imagine why we would possibly do this. We are not set up to dealing with an intrigue monster right now.

Side note - I'd prefer to not marry Harwin because we are already romancing Alicent, and Alicent seems like a one-woman kind of woman? Yes, we'll have to marry someone, but I'd prefer if it was someone we couldn't romance, tbh, so our affections wouldn't be split. But talking with him and becoming friends does seem like a good idea, particularly if it helps us improve.

I'd prefer this - although missing out on talking to Harwin for the prowess buff hurts.

If we collect all of the Strongs does that not make us the Strong-est? Truly the might make right path would be assured.

[X] Plan: Preparing for our Responsibilities

Gonna keep our responsabilities checked alongside we slowly become the Emily Dickinson of this world

Lyonel Strong is the master of Laws, part of our purpose for the Progress is to give out judgements as per the Laws. As such there is none better to give us a refresher before the Progress continues, especially since we've not done a ton before hand. Not talking with him at all feels like a waste, because its double duty. After that I'm a bit more mixed on where to focus our other actions but I think more studying / Training based actions are more useful.

I disagree, since we have to marry a guy and start popping up heirs I would rather do it with someone with whom Rhaenyra can make a real romantic connection, and besides that, from what we have seen in the series it seems that he would be pretty accepting of Rhaenyra having Alicent, and we know that Rheanyra and Herwin's genetics go together like peanut butter and jelly, so the risk that our children become total fuck ups due to their Targaryen genetics is significantly mitigated

I think us having screwed up genetics is unlikely as long as we don't screw a family member. I don't think that's a significant mitigation, but it might be some kind of mitigation.

We already have a real romantic connection. While yes, we will have to marry and we need heirs, I'd prefer to be as true to Alicent as we can be - even if that's only emotionally.

We don't actually know if Harwin would be cool with it, unless that was a WOG? In canon he's cool with being in a relationship outside marriage with a woman who is married but isn't romantically (or much physically) in a relationship with her husband. Would he be okay with his wife being in a romantic relationship with someone else? Idk, maybe? It might predict for it, but it's hardly a guarantee.

But the person I'm more worried about being against it is Alicent - I feel like she might see a difference between us having to get married because of course we do, that's politics vs us actually being interested in someone else and pursuing that.

All that said - we're not actually voting on that now, and it's probably a long way off, so for now we can agree to disagree. I'm not against talking to Harwin, since I think it'd be cool to be bros with him. But just putting in my 2c on a marriage.

I must agree with the idea that romancing someone alongside Alicent seems like betrayal... I'd much rather we find a beard like Laenor, preferably someone whose family has some power to help us, like Laenor.
Laenor is just the best choice bar some new character appearing imho.

I don't think your plan is formatted properly.

Harwin is roughly 20, Larys is 18.
