With two exceptions - but the King of Winter and the Queen of Summer are not beings that even gods take lightly. Admittedly, Zeus didn't deal with them often. But that was just how everyone liked it.

[X] The Wok

"Uh… okay, maybe a few one hundredths, I dunno. She had hand grenades. And… stuff. There was a lot. She's better at smashing up wood and concrete than she is at smashing up Sailor Venuses; we dodge better. Really, though, her best move was the noodle attack."

Your jaw drops. Luna's jaw drops.

"She attacked you with noodles?"
"She attacked you with noodles?"

"They were very, very sticky, but she underestimated my appetite. In the end, Love and Justice prevailed! Well, more accurately, I got her into a hold she couldn't lever out of and hung on until she figured out trying to knock my teeth out wasn't going to work, but close enough!"
Love and Justice and having worked up an appetite over the fight as she ate the noodles
Shampoo hasn't been trying to beat Ranma, though. IIRC, she does do things like make Ranma lunch (usually delivered by her crashing her bike into him because she's just so excited to see him.) and try to get him to go on actual dates with her.

And Ranma does like Shampoo, but only as a friend.
Yes, she was simply never going to convince Ranma that she's a love interest, only Akane and Ukyo had any chemistry...if things were ever calm enough not to set it on fire immediately.

Shampoo is more the collateral damage little sister who's not threatening at all.

That, or deal with them very openly from a position of overwhelming power.

Zeus never had to worry about their bullshit as much as mere mortals did.

Let's be real, here. Zeus probably slept with the Queen of Summer at some point.

Still, in relative terms, one has to figure that Zeus would've had to worry less about their bullshit than mere mortals.

Even if only in relative terms.

Or, to magical girlify the famous Al Capone quote:

"You can get more with a kind word and a sparkly princess wand than you can with just a kind word."

Even if the other side has princess wand-equivalents too.

Bad news, Fudou has recruited Pantyhose Taro and is trying to shangai Amazons into his influence via Lydian, implying he's trying to trend it towards the Mechvaranus version.
Good news, the Amazons can see right through his scheming, and we already know Jaedite's not exactly likely to want the Dai-Shocker equivalent from Mechvaranus to be founded on his turf, if only to reduce the amount of times he gets blasted.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind some Amazons going to his school. Put some agents in there to let us know what is going on. And at the same time help some Amazons adjust to Japanese civilian culture.

[ ] The Wok
"Well, okay, so the Amazons mostly USE it as a wok, but they say it's actually a magic bowl and if you use it right you can look into the dreams of other people. I remember you said you did something like that with ancient princess Serenity, and I thought maybe if we had this thing we could go with you!"

[ ] The Leaf
"It was this big leaf from a banana tree. It had been pressed and preserved or something and they said it used to be part of a magical fan that could make windstorms. I wasn't sure it'd be interesting, but then I remembered Dragon Ball, and I know that's just a manga but apparently Akko-chan was a real person so I just don't know what to think anymore. Although now I know Cologne's never heard of Dragon Ball, anyway."

[ ] The Sword
"There was a sword. A magic one, definitely. Made from the whitest metal I've ever seen, and yes that's including the 「truesilver」 in the chandeliers in your palace. The whole thing was made from the white stuff, except for a pearl in the hilt that was the size of, well, it was oval. Couple of centimeters. And black. Really black, like 'I think someone forgot to draw in this part of the universe' black, I had to poke it to be sure it was there. Anyway, the Amazons said to be careful to keep the sword clamped down because if you leave it lying out, it spins around in circles kind of slow-like. It was weird."

[ ] The Snake Statue
"And there was this statue of a snake. Big coily thing, with crystal fangs. Cologne says the snake can cure 'most' poisons, but it can only do it once for any one person.

Okay... so the Wok is immediately interesting. A proposed use, and possibly a way to contact Helios and get involved with the Golden Crystal? On the other hand I actually feel like we could eventually work this out through other means.

The Leaf... might be interesting for Makoto? At least it makes me think of her oak leaf attack. I suppose it might also be related to Uranus' domain of the Sky, but more likely Jupiter.

The Snake Statue... might actually be valuable for study by those trying to establish magical elements of healing? Is there any poison we should be worried about in the future for any of the plot lines we are dealing with? On the other hand we have Lunar Healing Burst, and Ami, and Healing Rain, etc.

The Sword - does anyone recognize this? I looked through a list of Cool Swords and the only one that sounded vaguely like this was the White Sword in Fabled Lands. It's interesting, but I feel like maybe someone could recognize it?

The sword is a mystery box, but we already have one, and I don't really see us going down the Jar'Kai dual blades route. This is also not the sort of gift that we can just re-gift to another one of our allies to make better use of, because there are political ties to it. We couldn't be blamed for hanging it on a wall or stuffing it in a basement of our own though.

Actually I think we could gift it to one of our Senshi. I don't think we could gift it to MCAT or anything, but we could give it to... Mercury? Neptune? Mars? The rest all already have melee weapons don't they?

Shampoo is more the collateral damage little sister who's not threatening at all.

Well, except that she is easily the most dangerous of the fiancees and thus there was always the risk she might decide "obstacles are for killing" and just murder Akane or Ukyo.

I would presume that the suggestion is that:
Based on the assumption that the sword rotates because it is pointing to something, and the Earth is rotating relative to that thing...
We could potentially triangulate what it points TO by teleporting around, measuring, and applying the Mercury Computer's number-crunching abilities.

Couple different people have mentioned the name, but who is Pantyhose Taro? I am completely unfamiliar with the name.
A young martial artist who at birth was washed in the Spring of the drowned Yeti holding an eel and crane while riding an ox, by Happosai who according to his village's tradition also got the right to name him. He is a massive power-hungry asshole who wants vengeance on Happosai and doesn't really care who gets hunt along the way.

Couple different people have mentioned the name, but who is Pantyhose Taro? I am completely unfamiliar with the name.
So years and years ago, in some backhills part of China, a woman went into labor. Luckily for her, a martial artist skilled in midwifery was in the area and helped her to give birth to her only child. A son. Unfortunately for that son, that martial artist was named Happosai, and due to a tradition in the woman's family, the fact that Happosai helped her to give birth meant that he was allowed to name her child.

So, Happosai being the utter idiotic pervert that he is, named the child Pantyhose.

Because of course he did.

Without thinking anything of it, Happosai then baptized the baby in a nearby spring of water that was part of the valley.

Which was Jusenkyo, in specific, it was the pool of the Drowned Yeti-Carrying-An-Eel-And-Crane-While-Riding-An-Ox. Which granted Pantyhose his cursed form, which is a chimeric mix of the different features.

Pantyhose has a particular hate on for the man who gave him his name, and has been searching for revenge since he first realized that he was named after underwear.

Edit: And later, after the first time that he gets his ass bounced by Ranma, he returns to Jusenkyo and jumps into the pool of drowned octopus, adding tentacles to his transformed form

Part of that hate on is that by his village law, Happosai is the only person in the world who can change his name.

Also Pantyhose Taro is one name, Like Momotaro. So he can't just go by Taro.

Edit: vote
[X] The Sword

Between this last chapter and the Office Drama sidestories, I'm getting a picture of Fudo Kazanari who is ruthless in his dealings, has accumulated a fair bit of clout with the Diet, and is no great slouch in martial prowess either... but is hamstrung by the culture clashes of the new paradigms he finds himself facing. To a layman's understanding, Pantyhose Taro's monstrous form would seem like a slam-dunk, both for intimidation and for getting dirty work done. But in the context of Nerima, sending him after an old monster master like Cologne is simply insulting, not even worth a proper fight scene.

He still has plenty of resources at his disposal, and he's certainly capable of learning, but there's no getting around the fact that he's operating on unfamiliar ground for the time being.

So, just to be amusing... maybe the sword is technically part of a certain power armor set we need to collect to find a certain being that survived the Fall and used to wear that armor.

[X] The Sword

only Akane and Ukyo had any chemistry
Please, tell me more of this Akane/Ukyo chemistry. ;)

I know, totally removed from its context to create different context, but I couldn't help myself. Side note, I kinda miss when the Penultimate Ranma Fanfic Index was a thing.
