It's not like LQ does these things because she has a death wish, she just has a tendency to end up in situations well over her head....

Imagine though, if LQ had the "scars show what you survived" insight from thousand ring fortress....

I like the implication of the end of the first sentence, of CRX taking her Mother's Light and making it her own for her own purpose and challenging the stagnation directly she can face her own opposite and by its reflection understand what she wants and what it means to let loose with her own Light.
 
Renxiang's next vote options after this is done gonna be:

-Strangle Ling Qi, then entomb her corpse in paperwork she incurred as punishment

-Assign paperwork to Ling Qi as punishment until she is immured by it then strangle the corpse.

It's unfortunate, because there's definitely a time for Renxiang to go Big Mode and shine glorious light everywhere. She's likely going to have REVOLUTION in her words at higher realm, because for all she's a slower and more tempered reformer she IS a reformer. She will be Revolutionizing things.

I don't like this idea that Renxiang is going to be outshone and do primarily background and administrative work is basically making her a background character of Our story, rather than the protagonist of her own story.

I'm torn because this set up just, doesn't seem right for the Big Slam Dunk Shine and Blaze sort of moment. The Death of the Sovereign is going to have a major impact, and that sounds like a better moment for Renxiang to stand tall. Without any information, however, I'm not certain she'll get the chance to shine more than just a functional piece of administration.

No. While Renxiang is Clockwork there's something important to be said about Timing. I hope that she'll have a chance to shine when the Sovereign dies but there's no guarantee of that . . blueagh

I really hope we're not robbing CRX and GG of their chance to shine. Locking them into fading-to-background roles would suck

Is this the first time we see Cai Renxiang speak gruffly? I think it is. it is certainly rare. Gan will remember this time in their lifes for sure.

While I also do subscribe to the theory that CRX will be a revolutzer, I don't think it will be an obvious outer word.

Tactically, it feels too early to shoot the big gun. The situation is still developing and I can't even tell if this is the big swell of nightmares or not.

There is also an argument that having a commander who can give orders to all the high realms is more valuable than just another cultivator, no matter how well suited to the problem at hand.

But more importantly, we've already seen her unraveling her dress several times. I want to see what she can do on her own.
